What is the most powerful type of vampire in jc?

>>45230930
I would guess Alucard from Hellsing, but I'm not sure about Dracula from Castlevania.
>>
>>45230952
Those only exist in meta silly anon. Also red. But her strain seems to be contained to her a a couple other makers.
>>
>>45230930
Hellsing and GUNNM, I suppose. Also, World of Darkness vampires are very versatile.
>>
>>45230899
Which jump is the best for becoming a fae?

I know Dresden lets you choose a powerful fae parent if you take that one background, and Changeling lets you be a changeling, but what other options are available?
>>
>>45230952
>>45230999
Awwww, you're making me smile. But you know what they say, quality over quantity!

>>45231051
There's actually not a lot of options for becoming a faerie/Fair Folk, last I recall. Mainly because most settings paint them as fucking insane or ridiculously OP, so it might be a case of a low number of candidates. Of course, nothing's stopping anyone from trying to make another jump involving them.

Viking Saga's Elf kind of functions like some weird fae-type, though? In a 'different myth version' at least. I bet if we had a jump with more celtic themes it would be ridiculously easy to throw it in.
>>
>>45230999
For now...

Fine then. Ah, I guess if we're going by which are the most stupidly overpowered I'd lean towards Touhou just for it's conceptual nonsense and base specs. Followed by Tsukihime for true ancestors although they surpass the former in base specs. After that Hellsing followed by Rosario, followed by Dresden, followed by WoD.

C'tan are star vampires but we don't talk about C'tan.
>>
>>45231051
Depends somewhat on what kind of fae you're looking for, and whether the creepier/weirder elves count.
D&D, as usual.
Warhammer Fantasy.
Narnia, kind of.
Civilisation, though getting fey powers from it might be a bit scummy for 100cp.
For a certain value of "fae" Commorragh.
Disney.
>>
>>45231051
Gargoyles, kinda? You can be Fae-Blooded at least.
>>
>>45231169
There is also the scroll of thoth in that that lets you gain the power of one of them.
>>
>>45231250
Oh yeah, that. For the benefit of the oddballs who care about their identity or whatever, IIRC one of the guys who tried it didn't really act like he was possesed by a fae/god at all, more like he was achieving his final form.
>>
>>45231032
GUNNM Vampires are actually pretty lame. They're mostly just running off of ridiculous skill stockpiled through the ages, with one or two biological tricks. Admittedly the Karma Chameleon boost is pretty damn absurd if assumed to be approaching the level of Caerula Sanguinus, who managed to hand the Imaginos body protagonist her ass while being a biological being, and not the Venusian "made with clarktech biology" sort either. Somewhat above normal human but no cybernetics, only ridiculous skills at reading her opponent.
>>
>>45230930
Castlevania vampires can be scary customers, at least if the three we've seen (Drac, Olrox, and Walter) are anything to judge by.
>>
Is there anything similar to senzu beans?
>>
>>45230930
Shinso vmapires from Negima/UQ Holder tend to have near-Alucard levels of regeneration, impressive physical specs, an immunity to traditional vampire weaknesses, and powerful magic.
>>
>>45231520
Well you could fuck around with D&D potions and make healing jellybeans I suppose, If you mean actual grown healing plants I'm less sure.

Try Toriko maybe?
>>
>>45231526
Add to this shinsos in rosario vampire can be giegeresque kaiju monstrocities.
>>
So what happens if I make a sword or scythe out of pure octiron? Or a heat gun?
>>
>>45231904
You get a magic sword/scythe/heat gun, ofcourse.

What kind of magic it would have is more of a question. And propably different on a case by case basis, considering that it's noted to be uncontrolled.

You can propably look at the Magic Sword item in the jump for things it could possibly do.
>>
>>45231981
Oh. Or an anti-magic sword, maybe. Forgot to add that.
>>
>>45231904
The first one is probably Close to the Tenseiga, I don't know about the second one though.
>>
>>45231904
Since someone else already handled all of the sword/scythe stuff, I'll just add there may be a possibility you can devise a heat gun that shoots prefabricated spells. Discworld wizard magic at least not only at least partially runs on a D&D wizard style prepare-spells-keep-them-in-your-pocket-and-then-unleash-them, but is very compatible with magitech-to the point the younger wizards have more or less invented magitech without thinking of it as such, just because the nature of magic is such that it can be sufficiently analysed to the point of being used like science.

Oh, and whatever you do-DON'T MAKE THE HEAT GUN ON THE DISC unless you want it to develop a machine spirit that urges its' wielders to shoot everything in existence. Someone built a simple gun-well, "gonne"-and it developed a consciousness of its' own before going on a rampage. A jumpertech heat gun would be infinitely worse.
>>
>>45232025
Really? Damn. Now I kinda want to build a gun on the Disc, and pod it... Maybe an infinite ammo minigun?

Objective: Have fun! Make things a bit easier for Crona, as well. Prevent her from betraying the school, be her Maka. Other than that, just do the usual. Grab Dna/ Recreation stuffs from every notable character, such as Death, Death the kid, Mosquito, etc. Also: help out Maka's dad. He could use a little touch of reality.

Temptation is my largest issue, but I've got enough willpower perks to counter. Witching hour is a mere irritance relative to past events. I've got paralysis potions for it, anyway. Think of the children just means I'll have to prevent Medusa from getting away the first time. Slapstick i would've taken for 0 points. Too good.

I grabbed Madness Release because it's weakened less by the ADW than the passive is. It's also /really/ good with being 2 kinds of Esper.

I think he'd phrase it as becoming a tyrant or a dictator, not realizing that that's the best that can be done in 40K because everything is horrible and every other option leads even more to Chaos than tyranny does.

The Mechanicus is as competent as it can possibly be, and the Machine Spirits really do take offense to a lack of ritual. You lose half a continent if that tank isn't treated just right.

The Administratum has to do the paperwork of an entire, constantly-changing galaxy which can sometimes take centuries to relay information to them.

Every genocide, every scream of suffering that goes unheard, every exploded planet, every senseless waste of life is the best option the Imperium, that last, best hope for humanity, even has, because any other action would lead to the universe screwing over all mankind and all the aliens too, but even harder than it already does.

40K is so GRIMDARK your options are to either treat the whole thing as a gigantic joke or lose interest because there's no hope, there's no solution, and there's no point in caring about any of the characters or factions because they will all meet horrible fates.

And if you think you can change that? Tzeentch appreciates the contribution to his cause.

>implying Protomen-verse isn't just as grimderp

Everyone is terrible, everyone is a coward, the intended heroes are edgelords who hate humanity and decide that they have to murder aging parents and young children (or just watch them die) if they want anything to change, and the real villain is an old man and won't even get to enjoy his world domination long enough to realize maybe he should make sure his robots don't kill off all mankind and then each other once he bites it.

There's no reason to care about anyone because Good and Evil have both just flat-out given up.

Yo JC I'm starting a new chain and want it to be elder horror themed, you know reality bending , insanity, space, inexplicable attacks, tentacles. What Jumps work best for this theme?
>>
Two quick questions:

How survivable is Minecraft if taken early on, and if you buy the scrolls in Avatar that allow people to learn bending does that mean you can learn additional elements through that means?
>>
>>45235075
Lovecraft.

>>45233256
Hahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Everything.

>>45234063
I tend to agree, and I fell into the "lose interest" camp long before Jumpchain.
40K is one of the few settings where I'd advocate just murdering everything. And I do mean everything. There is nothing worth saving. Better to make it all silent.

I hear cutting off all access to the warp will do that, what with its tie-in to souls, but I can't remember any ways to do that offhand (which is sad, because it seems like the sort of solution I'd go for, so I should probably look into it at some point).

But, geez, you wanna know the really stupid thing? Even though I am literally advocating for the total and complete murder of all life in the universe "for the greater good", I'm STILL not as edgy as 40K.
"You're not even torturing people!" 40K would say. They would kick my ass and laugh at me for not wanting to make it more painful and grimdark.

>>45235075
Well, there's Lovecraft, obviously. Also Bayonetta, if you align yourself with the angels or Science yourself to be more like them. Soul Eater can do some pretty freaky shit with Madness Auras, if you let it collect enough in one place.
>>
>>45234501
Think this way Bancho, by spacing them you save resources.
>>
>>45235079
Pretty OK outside some of the drawbacks, and
>if a person who is neither a Bender nor born of any of the four Nations reads the scroll, they will gain the power to Bend that element.
Doesn't work on benders.
>>
>>45235079

>>if a person is neither a Bender nor born of any of the four Nations reads the scroll, they will gain the power to Bend that element.

This part seems to basically say that it doesn't work if you already have bending.
>>
>>45235079
>Minecraft survivability
Easy unless you take drawbacks. Exponentially more difficult from that point onward.

>Avatar Scrolls
You cannot learn additional bending from them, no.
>>
23. Discworld
Location: Ankh-Morpok
Background: Drop-In, Age: 23
Perks: Followed the Footnotes, Parody (-100), True Librarian (-300), Monk of History (-200)
Items: Octiron (-100), Micromail (-200), Sapient Pearwood (-300)
Drawbacks: Dragonriders (+200)

I took Dragonriders more to see dragons than for the points. That I got to fight them was just a bonus. The only problem being that fire is one of the library's natural predators and dragons are very often fire, so I couldn't enter L-space without putting the whole place at risk of burning down.It also turns out that Parody works wonders with my changeling talecrafting and any oracular powers.

This world was kind of a paradise for me, and I spent a lot of time reading. Following the footnotes made just diving into the books here a lot more fun. I started to enjoy sunrises again, as well. Watching light slowly filter through dense magical fields isn't something I think I'll ever forget. There are floating rocks and muggers and kindness and cruelty and magic and monsters that are in no way monstrous and cultures actually change and grow and and I love it.
>>
>>45235075
SCP Foundation will probably help, Hellsing has Alucards embrace which will eventually let you do the whole river of death thing, Siren: Blood Curse has some perks, Goar Simulator lets you be a Goat, Red is making a Warhammer 40K Jump, Gravity Falls has a good background for that, and the Darkest Dungeons jump has the Bilious background and the Red Hook.

>>45236418
We don't know where he went to be honest, and he was mostly active on SB, only frequenting here once in a while.

>>45236419
Birth By Sleep.
My gripe is that Tactics and Tactics Advance are two completely points in the chronology of Ivalice. The "feel" of Tactics versus Tactics Advance is completely different from one another, and unlike Dynasty Warriors, it's not something I can capture even if I went for a tangent setting like Vagrant Story.
>>

>>
>>45236518
It's stupid through. Since this jump has been dead for months.

I mean, it was one anon on SB who clearly gave up long ago.

Why the fuck should that stop anyone here from making a complete Log Horizon jump?
>>
>>45236518
Certain things we just have to accept. Plenty of other similar jumps anyway.
>>
>>45236586
Did you even read the spoiler?
>>
>>45236437
Actually Loganon is on SB, have poked him there in hopes of getting a response of what's going on.
>>
>>45236489
The only exception is if the jump was made on some other site (read: Spacebattles) and uploaded to the drive without being posted and critiqued in thread. In which case, it's totally cool to kick them and someone else to do their own.

I didn't pay much attention to the jump when it was being worked on beyond a vague awareness of some sorta controversy about Level 1 or whatever and I'm not interested in Log Horizon anyway, so I can't say for sure if it counts or not.
>>
>>45236586
It's a shit IP, who cares.
>>
>>45236623
It was posted here by the jump maker, with feedback from thread. So technically we can't dump due to that rule.
>>
>>45236623
Well Log Horizon anon *did* come to post his jump here for critique in the early days when he first started working through it, it's just that his "home base" so to speak is SB.

I wouldn't invalidate his work right away, and lots of people have very long production schedules due to real life stuff and other obligations. Just that progress reports would generally be nice.

I wasn't too interested in Log Horizon at first, was more interested that we were getting a new jumpmaker to the mix, but the setting isn't too bad, I don't mind it. I can see potential.
>>
>>45236418
Seed-Anon here.
Yo, if you can demonstrably make progress on it. I'm entirely okay with you doing what you want with. I hit a road block with the whole class system I couldn't balance them.
>>
>>45236662
>>45236688

Ah. I'd say it was a shame, but truth be told?

From what little I heard of Log Horizon it sounded like SAO, and the only thing I like about SAO is the abridged series so-

-oh. Nevermind, then.

Welp. Who's gonna be the (un)lucky chap to take a crack at it?
>>
>>45236714
Oh, and-thanks for taking the time to come tell us, dude. S' not often that happens, these days.
>>
>>45236734
Log Horizon has some similarities to SAO but it's more that they are both of the same genre. In SAO people are trapped in virtual reality, in Log Horizon people got transported to a fantasy world that directly relates to the mmo they were playing. They aren't in a game, they are actually in a fantasy world, albeit one with game mechanics. Also in SAO people die when they are killed, in Log Horizon people respawn back in town when they are killed. So they are actually very different takes on people trapped in a game.

The deadlight is literally a warp alignment core that if unbroken seals off the warp forever when you j-j-jam it in. Go reread the final part of LoT a bit more closely, Blue.

Now in 40k jump there is a drawback to make actions in LoT canon for the 40k jump. Thereyougo.
>>
>>45236489
No. The rule is, and always has been, that you can snag an incomplete Jump if the person who was working on it gives it up, or is actually gone (as in, not just not updating, but actually gone) for a long period.

Just don't do a crappy job.

You know what I hate? Sand. It gets EVERYWHERE! You taste it in your mouth, gets in your shoes, inside your underwear, and places where you wouldn't expect to find sand. Yet, it's there. That's the first thing I wake up to is a yellow rodent staring down at me, under the baking sun, and the sand. I somehow woke up, in the Pokemon universe and I happen to be in the worse place on PokeEarth, Orre. At least I had a motorcycle, a laptop, and a handgun with hundreds of rounds of ammo. The downside I found out, I'm an internationally wanted criminal.

The only good thing about Orre, there's no police. I'm just a criminal among criminals, for most part. I certainly did not have a great time, but I coped.

I did have to kill a few people, for they were trying steal my Pikachu. Pokemon are scarce in Orre, and one as cute and valuable as a Pilachu even more so. Thanks to my new found reflexes and impossible aiming skills, it was easy to kill. It was the guilt after that tore me up, and the anxiety of reprisal attacks.

Eventually I got really jaded about it, and stopped worrying so much. I guess it was the environment, when around criminals you learn to act and be one. It also didn't help that bounty hunters would show up and try to gun you down. My decade here was the worse time in my life, and I was running low on bullets too.

My previous chain I had 117 companions.
I always run at least 15 active companions, though the "true" active companion amount has shifted a bit since I have a couple several companions in one slot thing.

With everyone being part summoner or main summoner, we normally have 2 - 3 familiars/summons active at all times. Currently I think I have about...30 companions on this chain? But I haven't broken 100 jumps yet either, so yeah.

>>45237557
Can we not? There's no sense in rushing a jump out for quality. If you want to feel secure, make a good WIP skeleton, release it and see if thread agrees to lock it down. Making people feel like they need to pump out jumps isn't productive at all.

Nah, talented pre-teens are their own justice in pokemon. Especially in the manga where Red and co become essentially the S-class heroes of the world, called in where all others would fail. They don't really work for anyone, they just kinda show up and wreck face because goddammit team rocket you're not allowed to steal God and God you're not allowed to destroy the world because team rocket woke you up from your nap.

Just be wary of protagonists in general, especially if you take enough drawbacks to be a subplot on their journey.

Technically being a protagonist doesn't actually help you avoid protagonists. Sure it helps, but it basically only changes things from 'go home don't even bother' to 'generic crossover event'.

Ohyeah, I think... In terms of Regular companions, I also have...

> Shuggy (Shoggoth) [Lovecraft/Pet Monster]
> Carmelita Fox [Sly Cooper/Inspector Fox]
> Desty Nova [GUNNM/-]
... as well as a bunch of unnamed recruits from Starcraft that were free.
I might have a squad of Klokateers from Metalocalypse, too, I can't remember, and it seems as if I've lost that particular jump in my doc.
Sometimes my jumps get eaten.
I still can't say for sure if that's everyone, but I think we're scraping the bottom of the overall headcount.

I'm actually slightly bummed the way Big Band's story ended, if only because I was originally hoping there to be more to it from a story perspective. Like, I was hoping there'd be a big turnaround or final moment, because back then I didn't know I was going to ram so deep into this TRAGIC MONSTER angle and figured there'd be some light at the end. And, HAHAH!, that sure didn't happen.
But I couldn't stand the thought of him just being stuck in companion limbo forever, because I actually really like him as a character? So the current story version is that I finally sent him home, and he's back in Skullgirls, fightan' the Skullgirl with even more jazzed up cybernetics.

I've thought about a retcon to say I companion'd someone else, but at this point I'm only willing to take people I don't mind suffering.
Who's enough of an asshole for that? Eliza...?

My Pokemon Team (Dion, Tork, Gwyn, Dirge, Zach and Talin);
Ailyth from Valkyrie Profile;
Jibril from NGNL;
Jihl and Gilgamesh from FF13-2;
Breach from Generator Rex;
At least a dozen people from Ragnarok Online (that's what happens when you try doing ALL the scenarios);
Small Army from Skullgirls;
Alice, my AI adopted daughter from Gundam UC (it's complicated);
Adele, Exodus, Shemhazai and Ultima from FF12-RW;
Firemane from FF12;
Venom and The Boss from Metal Gear;
Giffany from Gravity Falls;
Morrigan from Darkstalkers;
Elodie from LLTQ;
The Deer Lord from Nichijou;
Yuugi and Suika from Touhou;
Segna, a Gria from FFTA;

There's still probaly more, but a lot of my chain is still just the builds with very little story beyond a couple jumps.

And them there's the people who I got with Chooser of the Slain (the "good" version of Dark Binding), which include the likes of:
Sacchin and SHIKI from Tsukihime;
The Intoners from Drakengard;
Kamina from Gurren Lagann;
Pitou from HxH;
Kimblee and Greed from Fullmetal Achemist;
Kaguya from Naruto;

... and many, many more.

Wow, didn't realize I had so many. Now how the hell am I going to choose who gets imported when...

If anything in Pokemon being a protagonist guarantees you'll be interacting with other protagonists. You'll either have Red, Blue or Crystal show up at some point when shit gets real or Ash come along and you'll play sidekick for awhile or have your rival/group of friends/co-protagonist following a parallel journey - depending on which canon amalgamation you subscribe to.

Valkyrie Profile. You can't be a Valkyrie without a way to ferry souls to Oin, after all.
>>
>>45239378
Valkyrie Profile.
>Chooser of the Slain (Free and Restricted to Valkyrie) - The Battle Maiden's main duty revolves around collecting the souls of the chosen dead, training them further as warriors, and sending them to Valhalla to serve as Odin's soldiers when the time is ready. To properly perform this mission, you're now capable of absorbing the souls of the willing dead, convinced through honest methods or foul, into your body. There they reside, fully aware of themselves and separate from your own, their only method of interaction being to speak with you should you will it. Theoretically, there's no upper limit to how many souls you may hold at a time in this fashion. The second aspect of this ability is that of Materialization, the use of your own divine energy to give the souls a temporary physical body and summon them into the world as Einherjar. To all outside observers, your Einherjar resemble living humans, though as masses of Materialization Energy given human form, they lack many of the physical flaws a normal humans would have, such as the need to eat, the need for rest, and a lack of vital organs. They can't even die unless they're attacked by something that can destroy a soul, as a slain Einherjar will return to you automatically and can be summoned again, though it will take time for them and your Materialization Energy to recover.

Cont.
>>
>>45239466
>While at first their strength is equal to what it was in life, Einherjar can continue training with you and steadily grow in power and skill, even learning new abilities if you can teach them, with the only true limit being the strength of their souls. However, with their existence bound to you, Einherjar can typically only wander an area the size of a large modern city around you before automatically returning to you without suffering any harm. The final restriction is that summoned Einherjars Materialization Energy is derived from your own internal stores. Because of this, there's somewhat of a limit to how many you can use at once. To have your Einherjar fight at full power, you can only summon four of them at once, and although this isn't a hard limit, the more you summon beyond this number, the weaker they become, even if only in endurance. An army of Einherjar summoned at once would be a field of paper tigers. One thing to note is that while you're here, you're expected to send Einherjar that are ready to Valhalla and that things could end poorly if Odin thinks you're slacking off, though who, when, and how many is entirely up to you. Post-jump, you may simply release your Einherjar to pass on to the afterlife if you ever wish to free them.

I recommend at least going with "The world is a big place and their series(or the equivalent) is taking place somewhere else", mostly do to the fact that pokemon seems to be a setting where you can't go half a mile without running into a group about to start the apocalypse.

Sure you might want to be the protagonist, but not being able to go 'someone else is working on that not my problem' seems like it would get boring after a while.

Technically that jump never says when in the timeline your journey occurs. Plus they don't really do much besides fight crime and do generic trainer stuff anyway most of the time. At which point you might as well complain that the police exist.

Plus if your assuming the game versions of them are around instead you don't have to deal with Ash being some time distortion super mary sue.

Well, with the most recent episode Ash produces enough Infinite Energy to mega-evolve greninja without a megastone.

There's some speculation that it may be tied to the time he got turned to stone by Mew/Mewtwo who have been described as having tons of infinite energy themselves (Mewtwo doesn't need a megastone to evolve in the anime, he's just that good). Ash may literally be a walking megastone after being turned to stone by infinite energy. Combined with also maybe being something of a chosen of Ho-Oh, he may just be fucking immortal.

If your actually trying to make a team of legendaries or something, not every game has them involved as a required part of the plotline.

>>
>>45240281
Latest episode showed that Ash's Greninja fusion is at least in part related to the energy that powers mega evolutions but it may or may not be a true mega evolution and something Ash-specific since Alain's bracelet that detects if a mega evolution has happened didn't go off.

So Ash-Greninja might be a part-way phase to a Mega or Ash is combining his accumulated/innate powers from so many legendary interactions to get something unique.

Apparently the future of Pokemon is somehow tied to 'flowers' from an interview a couple days ago. With some of the Zygrade-cell powered cannon used to make a Yggdrasil, which combined with some promotional stuff showing a massive tree covered in flowers that are the same exact colour as that used in the currently unattainable alt-form of floette with a special signature move...

Z sounds like it might be a bit crazy. Potentially including fusion, whatever this Yggdrasil plot is, etc.

As far as I can tell the only villain groups that were actually fully defeated are Hoenns eco-terrorists, and maybe the Black and White ones.

Besides if you absolutely need to be involved in one (possibly a few but unless I'm misremembering several games take place at the same time) of the canon plotlines you can just get to it before the main character does.

Team Rocket is decapitated and essentially crippled, and they have no grand plots beyond that. They're just another petty gang. Same for Team Flare.

Team... I dunno, 4? They're destroyed too without their leader, who is currently stuck in Hell.

Team Plasma I think is also decapitated. Split into several small groups, some doing petty crime and some reforming into basically animal welfare advocates.

None of these groups are going to do anything significant ever again.

If I got to one of the plots before the protag, since they're there at every major event, I'd stop the plot before anything happened. Better for the world, more boring though, and I get nothing out of it.

Questions.
Is the Terms a mandatory drawback?

To Good Friends only mentions "a couple" of your Companions before saying it doubles. How many does the initial purchase give?

The Free Combination Attack allows you to fuse anything as long as it's between you and a partner who also has this? Or are there limitations to it? It says "some techniques aren't compatible" but I have no clue which ones are and aren't.

Same thing with the free Gate Key, does it get consumed, or is the only reason why anyone would buy more than one because they might lose it?

I pretty much put up all of my ongoing WIPs + jumps a couple threads ago. I don't normally update my own drive until something either hits IC 0.01 or C .99 or F status, so that's pretty much it.

30 jumps and 4 scratchpads. If you look back in the thread you'll find the jumps somewhere in there. Apologies, but I'm not keen on releasing my drive address.
>>
>>45241051
The drawback isn't mandatory, but if you don't take it, you can't take any other Drawbacks. I thought it was a fair compromise.

The first purchase of To Good Friends lets you import two Companions, and each purchase thereafter doubles it.

In the game itself, each character winds up with seven Techs, which means 49 possible combinations per pair. However, only three of those are actually combinations. It's not that limiting in-Jump, but what it basically means is that not every single spell you can cast (for example) will combine with a spell your ally can cast. Just think of what makes sense together, and use your best judgment.

The only reason to buy another Gate Key is if you're afraid you'll lose it, break it, or want to take it apart for some reason. I just wanted to include the option in case you need a spare.

>Team Rocket is decapitated and essentially crippled, and they have no grand plots beyond that. They're just another petty gang. Same for Team Flare.

I think Heart Gold and Soul Silver implied Giovani was planning to return. As for Team Flare this is a group that used extortion to plan genocide and their still active.

>Team... I dunno, 4? They're destroyed too without their leader, who is currently stuck in Hell.

Only in Platinum in the other ones he basically just leaves swearing he will have revenge.

Team Plasma I think is also decapitated. Split into several small groups, some doing petty crime and some reforming into basically animal welfare advocates.

Can't really argue with this one but Plasma was stupid anyway.

Be wary of one thing following a 1/3/6 structure since that's the foundation of your main perks. You don't have a 50 CP float anywhere besides your companion section, your lowest item denominator is a 100 with a discount to free rather than half, so some builds might run into issues with CP leftover.

Overall it looks fine. It's a bit sparse, but...that's just me. But for what it is it's compact, gets to the point pretty well I'd say. The Druid tree is a bit...vague, but if you think it fits it's up to you. I'm not exactly too sure how to feel about the Drop In Cap, there's synergy with the drop in 600...and then again I don't know how much overlap you envision the two of them to have.

>>
>>45241283
You could always join up with them and try and defeat the protagonist for a change of pace. I mean, in the anime and manga Team Rocket gets set back routinely but they tend to regroup and do stuff like try to piss off god enough to make him call the lesser gods to destroy the earth so they have a chance at catching them and revolting against god (because despite managing to steal Arceus' plates and him being really groggy the time they trussed him up they couldn't catch him or make him do anything except be dragged along the ground while he just kinda took it growing increasingly pissed and eventually decided that mankind just needed to die for a bit - only to be stopped by an all-star team of protagonists and Elite Four champs). Or they just try to re-catch Mewtwo again, because that still hasn't stopped being a good idea clearly and didn't nearly result in him conquering the world but had a change of heart when Ash died for man's sins and was resurrected.

Bastet drawback still seems to be 600cp, despite not seeming as bad as the 300cp drawbacks. Is there any reason it's worth so much more then Known Warlock, given that seems to not only have the same downside of people hunting you, but you don't get the benefit of a big power buff?
>>
>>45241536

IC, Incomplete Status. Percentages are generally based off of states. I don't hit 0.1% until I get a full skeleton of everything that I intend to be present. I don't hit 0.5% until everything besides scenarios are up. So a lot of people look at those IC 0.01% that are like 50 pages long and they go "oh my god it's going to be too big" when in actuality the jump probably won't break 150 - 200 pages at most.

C is technical completion, always 0.99. Leaves it ready for Final Format, but generally C jumps are missing one thing or another. Dark Cloud was missing the Arland formatting as well as a scenario. ARIA was missing the revamped scenario as well as Arland formatting and a perk chain. FFX was missing ...8 perk chains, a synthesis item, 2 scenarios, 2 inner perk trees, and the Arcana system.

So typically, the F format is a bit of a leap off of the C format. I ended up doubling ARIA and FFX in size mainly because I wasn't satisfied with what I had added. (wasn't sufficiently representative of the setting) 13 (all three jumps) and 12 suffer from similar problems. I absolutely abhor the way I handled 13-3 and 12, both of those not only need to be brought to Arland standards, they also need better content descriptions.

Generally as I move a jump from C to F, I'll bring another one from IC to C. It's like a slow chain. C jumps are always smaller than F jumps, and some jumps I'll always leave in C status (like Siren and Gravity Rush) so the system works well for me.

It's a system I use so I can quickly organize and prioritize what I want to tackle in my free time. I guess you could say being an engineer, the whole organization thing comes naturally.

>The Druid tree is a bit...vague
I can see that, but I honestly don't know how to make it much clearer to people who haven't seen the show. I'll try and see what I can do.

>Drop In
I kind of struggled with thinking of enough appropriate perks for Drop-In. Over all I really wish I could have done a better job with the tree, but this is what I've decided to settle for. If something hits me and I can think of better perks, or if someone who knows the series can suggest something, I'd happily change some of it.

>>45241684
A murderous beast that's also getting a big buff to strength, speed and especially toughness. That kind of equals out the danger of not being in control. It basically feels about as dangerous as the 300s at best, definitely not 600 material. If you didn't get those massive physical buffs? It might be closer to 600, but with them it removes a lot of the danger.
>>
>>45241684
>just a high bounty
Anon, it basically makes you out to be the most wanted criminal in the country. You have the king's personal hatred and focus and Uther's not exactly known for being weak on following up his grudges.

>>
>>45241614
I hoped people would be interested in those. I always thought it was interesting questing for the materials to make your ultimate weapons instead of just finding them somewhere.
>>
>>45241707
>I can see that, but I honestly don't know how to make it much clearer to people who haven't seen the show. I'll try and see what I can do.

Well to begin with, if there are limits as to what can be done, or "schools" that are present, clarifying them - in their own section if need be - might be a good start. You've listed examples of magic, but having not seen the source, I don't know if that's the higher end, or middle end, or lower end.

Now granted, I'm looking at this as a "first look", so I haven't done full research on it, but generally don't assume your audience will do full research on a setting just because a jump is available. If you can put in some clarifications in terms of boundaries as far as the setting presents them it might help. Maybe some more concrete wording?

Somebody who knows the setting better would probably be able to help you. CCDT perhaps? I dunno.

As for classifications. I think the way Wild Card handled elements and such in his Chrono Trigger jump isn't a bad way to go about it. You only need short blurbs to give people a better grasp of what each "aspect" of magic might do. It's a bit of an uphill battle, because there's just so much magic in jumpchain that people don't know what to expect and often they draw comparisons to magic systems they already know.

Even if you just make comparisons like "this is close to Harry Potter magic" people will still get a better grasp of what they're working with.

>Ah, sorry. It's my first attempt at making a jump, and I really don't know how to put much more meat on it's bones.

Sparse isn't a problem. We all have to start somewhere, and sparse means you have room to add meat if you feel that it's worth it. The jump works mechanically (save for that CP balancing thing) so you're off to a pretty good start.

If anything, try making a couple builds, one based off of each background, just to get a feel of CP spread.
>>
>>45241729
I'm not the jumpmaker so I can't say this with certainty, but I feel like the 'danger' of the drawback is murdering innocent people en masse, possibly killing your companions if they try to stop you from going on a rampage, and if you're powerful enough, just plain destroying the world.

Of course, it's also not specified how big the boost from being a Bastet is, so the real danger might be that you'll draw enough heat that people who you could take on individually with the transformation will just team up and kick your shit in.
>>
>>45241943
Far as I remember, Merlin never really does that sort of thing with magic. It just 'is' for the main character and we only get random snippets from other characters, usually totally unrelated to each other, at best being rituals of some sort.
>>
>>45240287
*Tilts head*

Discounts and freebies for Genius seem to be slightly mixed up...?
>>
>>45241979
>Innocents
Pretty dependent on morality there, something only a few jumpers seem to have. In any case, it's a negative based on a specific type of jumper, a poor way to measure.
>Killing companions
Temporary, you're not perma killing them and they'll be back in a day-week.
>Destroying the world
Again, that's solely dependent on the jumper and shouldn't be used as a measurement.

The boost is described as 'extreme'. In setting, pretty much the majority of people are normal and even a Griffon was pretty much untouchable to them, which this should be at least equal to. Barring the few magic users, and even then there's not many and not many strong ones, there's not much that will be able to kill you.
>>
>>45241482
Honestly I didn't even think of that. Mostly because it started off as just 1/3/6. But I suppose none of the 300 CP perks are really that broken or anything, so that spread would probably be okay.

>>45241729
You're nowhere near unkillable, the Bastet in the series was fatally wounded by normal humans while transformed. I've set it up so you can't dodge the transformation and will be forced to rampage.
I really think it's worth 600, but since you athink it's not I'm adding a clause that says you lose all extra abilities while transformed and you just have your bodymod body's physical abilities + those added by the curse.
At that point the series is filled with things that can kill you. Especially while you're a mindless beast.
>>
>>45242026
...Yep, my bad. 100 is free, 200 is discounted. I'll add that to the list of things to fix in 1.1
>>
>>45242095
Well if that's what you decide. Still don't think it's really worth 300cp more then the 300cp drawbacks, but I've said my piece.
