You can clip a filter to the text layer by clicking between the filter and the text layer, you'll see a little arrow and it'll look like it's pointing at that layer.

OR you can just right click the text and choose a blending option and overlay a pattern or colors or a gradient etc.. and all those will affect the text layer.

I lied it was more like 16 pages of actual writing and 84 graphs.

One girl that I helped out on a regular basis (she'd help me study, do homework, or work on lab reports) would bite/chew her fingernails, often until she bled because she was stressed. She, of course, didn't have a hobby outside of classes, and maintained a very poor social life with other chemistry majors. Right click it, press duplicate layer. After that, move it around and put it where you want it. If the duplicate layer doesn't merge nicely with the background, then apply a mask on the duplicated layer and use the mask to brush out any ugly parts.

I want to assume some things you need only pay tribute for once, such as changing your physical form. Physiology, gender, age, beauty, paying for those every season should mean you can change them every season too. Exempt, Visitor, Vacation, and Private are iffy. I could see Visitor and Vacation being a one time investment too, but I'm not so sure of the others.

Likewise, homes, save for the Inn. Would they remain yours once paid for once, or are you just renting? Servants could be a one-time buy, as they're bound to you, and even if they're not you certainly shouldn't need to pay for their perks like an altered appearance unless you're changing it further.

It'd be nice to know if some things really are one-time buys, as then I'd know how many points of tribute are turned into gold after my first season, and how I could redistribute them if that's also allowed. I wouldn't mind being exempt for a year or two, to get my bearings, then using those points for a larger home later on.

It is possible to blend them together but also kind of a pain. Another trick you can do is copy your cloud layer and flip it horizontally so they match edges but it will be noticeable.

I take the dragon soul specifically so I can combine it with Incarnation and Overpower if my first kill attempts go terribly awry. First thing to do is get a Pheonix under my belt so I can take the soul and have re-incarnation as a second fallback. To be perfectly honest, even with all that, I'll be relying heavily on ambush tactics, keeping out of sight, and plain old running away to get myself out of most scrapes early on before I've got real experience.

Goal two - make some friends. Being required to kill the two most powerful monster types means I'm also killing some of the rarest monster types. I'll need a network of information and backup to take down those critters while I gain experience fighting alongside others. Bounty and Club will be helpful for that, and letting my partners take the presumably rare materials while I first start out should prove suitable enticement without having to burn through my limited income.

Goal three - gain experience, as much as possible as fast as possible, in preparation for not only future hunts, but also the fourth goal.

Goal four - Survive the culling. No heroics, no murderhoboing - at least not the first year. Fight only when I have to, if I have to. Odds are good that I'll probably have to. Note to self - ambush tactics are your friend. Hopefully by this point I'd have a Strange soul to use for powerful illusions to throw people off the trail. At the end of the day, Overdrive and Nullification as a last resort while swapping over to a Phoenix soul that I hopefully haven't had to burn yet. If reincarnation is burned, Dragon Scales will have to suffice.

Goal five - repeat until I reach the skill to take on the Convergence. If you are seriously thinking of buying a dreadnought and going at it alone, I'm going to find your skull taped to a pirate's bow sometime in the next few months with your crew sold off as sex slaves. That is, unless you play it smart and get some friends. If you embed yourself into the Blackhawk Elite faction for example, you're likely going to get a lot of support and logistics from them. Then I will applaud you for not being fucking retarded.

This is all according to me, though. If you want to buy a dreadnought and call it viable for going at it on your space adventures with your waifu, more power to you.

And I have yet to see someone take this approach. For this reason, I believe Star Dust is a failure in regards to the dreadnought problem. I want to remove them completely, but you can imagine the shitstorm.
