What if the Lesser Chaos Gods replaced the big 4?

Malal, Zuvassin, Necoho, and Hashut!

I just wanna see marines of Necoho and Daemons of the Undoer.

I have some scattered ideas for them...like it's either an alternate universe where they ascended in place of the Big 4, or they overthrew them through a combination of their talents.

Zuvassin would be the anti-Tzeentch, his endless weaving plans revolving around giving everyone everywhere the shaft, otherwise really pretty similar. Like a post-Ironic lord of change. His Daemons might be called The Unraveled or something of the like.

Hashut would be a technological mockery of Nurgle, creating foul bloodstained mechanisms and exploring all the techno-horror it entails.

Necoho, The Doubter might be the Slaanesh of the setting. A newer, slightly weaker god with strange ways and strange actions. He'd be the Lord of Paradox, a reluctant master sitting on a throne of smirking madness. He'd be exploring all the hate and rage of doublethink and masturbatory intellectualism that permeates the internet. His Marines, the Faithless Zealots would be like chaotic warrior monks, feigning intelligence while being illiterate, ignorant bastards.

Malal is Malal, but with vast armies of contemptous, silent, hateful daemons. Imagine Khorne but with cold fury. Sons of Malice as the new Bloodthirsters.

Pretty sure Zuvassin is the Laughing God wearing a Groucho Marx mask.

As anybody else noticed the similarities and symbology of the Chaos Star and the Wheel of Emotions.

Huh?

Pretty fitting save for the blue tones and Tzeentch.

I'm sure we could come up with a convoluted reasoning how grief and Tzeentch go together.

I mean honestly, right now we have Nurgle who embodies human despair but is always jovial and his own followers want to escape pain but then receive it and suddenly they love it.

And all of this makes sense only because we allow some slight bullshit thesis on the superduper deep and totally legit guys I swear nature of how the warp works.

Technically speaking, Tzeentch wasn't even a human emotion originally but just the setting's alibi God of Sorcery.
>>

Well, Tzeentch is the god of innovation and new beginnings.

Loss and grief could be his domain.

Slaanesh is an essential part of 40k lore because of the fall, he/she will never be NOT canon. However, it is possible that GW will get rid of him/her with Ynnead as an excuse if they ever advance the plot.

What would be the equivalents of the Bloodthirsters/Plague Marines/Noise Marines/Thousand Sons?
>>
>>44615406

>Bloodthirsters

Anyway, while I'm not sure about the specific marine type, I can see some legions kinda aligning themselves with these new deities.

Alpha Legion is Malal almost to a T

Hashut seems like a good fit for the Iron Warriors.

Necoho seems appropiate for a weird turn of events in the Word Bearers. Embrace atheism like daddy said instead of looking for new deities, but end up finding a new deity.

Zuvassin is the hard one, I don't know what to do with him.
>>
>>44616398
Zuvassin is not dissimilar to Tzeentch, so something could be done with that.

How about the Night Lords? They fit Zuvassin's MO of mindfucking psycho shit.
>>
>>44611422
> Necoho
> One of the big 4
Odds are, he's already operating at his maximum potential. As the Chaos god of Atheism, having less followers makes him more powerful, but he still does need a small cult in order to have his will carried out. His "goal" is to get rid of all cults and religions, including his own in the end. That being said, he may as well have used the Emperor as his pawn. Other than that, there is no way that he could have a large impact outside of the Warp, especially with a large cult following like the big 4 gods.
>>
>>44616531

Funnily enough, that's what I had in mind while writing the post, just seeing it in the angle of Kurze's future gaze allowing him to fuck with the events that he saw.

And so the Warp was never stilled, but merely shifted as all things are wont to do.

A butterfly flapped its wings, some infinitesimal speck of information in the Changer of Ways' grand scheme faltered, and somehow in some way the great game began to shift.

None of the Chaos Gods were weaklings, each gorging upon the depravities of the 41st Millenium in turn. All of the pain and carnal pleasure of the ten million billion whorehouses and twisted torture chambers fed Slaanesh well. The despair of broken stars has given the Plaguefather ample place to spread his gifts. And of course, mighty, everlasting Khorne feasted wherever the blood flowed.

Yet it was Tzeentch, the Knowing One that pulled ahead in the great game. Somewhere, somehow, he rationalized that he could inherit all the might and power of Chaos. For he was a God of Sorcery, in a realm of pure magic.

And for this hubris, that even a deity as mighty as a Chaos God may become master of all madness...the Mad Corvid made his great mistake. For his enacting of the Plan came at a cost.

Zuvassin the Undoer, a forgotten and small godling began to snort, then guffaw, then howl with glee and laughter as the greatest, most meticulous and complex scheme in the history of reality was laid...and here he was. Ready to unravel everything, and drag the structured madness of Tzeentch back to the undivided writhing morass Chaos must be.

(will cont.)

>>44616589
And yet he sits. The Doubter has found himself, the Paradox King, a God of Athiesm with a Faithless Clergy, laughing soundlessly from raw red throats at the twisted comedy these stars have become.
>>
>>44612706
No
>>
>>44616819

Tzeentch's subtle workings began to have their effect, ever so lightly on the cosmos. His staff began to knit itself truly back together. The whispers of the goddess Isha traveled faste r and farther. The blood-hungering Khornate Daemons arrived at battlefields already cleared. Moments of all-knowing clarity began to infect the Pleasureborn who began to grow bored by the everlasting sensation of Deja Vu. And the schemers grew more powerful. Endless networks across the cosmos of inspired ideological plans began to unite and move towards a single goal, unknowingly by their very perpetrators. Nine hundred and ninety-nine million, nine-hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine geniuses all were maneuvered and maneuvered and put into place, each and every one of them receiving a single letter of the Great Incantation. And, as in order throughout the stars, Heretics, Researchers, Haemonculi, Chaos Marines, Guardsmen. Each and every one spoke willingly or unwillingly the near-billion letter rites of the Great Incantation, killing the schemers and drawing their souls together into a source of such incredible power that Tzeentch would attain great and final supremacy over the other 3 Chaos Gods.

Of course, he would have, had the last's tongue not been severed by one of the "irrelevant" Cult of Zuvassin.

The chain was broken. The ninefold ennead of decimated souls funneled the incredible source of carefully arranged psyonik power away from its intended target at the heart of the Crystal Labyrinth and inadvertently to the one who had broken the chain.

As the wrathful screams of the Master of Fortune echoes throughout the warp, it was the aged, snickering form of the Undoer himself that absorbed the Broken Billion into his realm of Influence. While this did not grant Tzeentch's unknown spanner in the works all power, it made the Planshatterer a far truer force to be reckoned with.

I'm probably not going to finish the fluffy flavor text but basically

Zuvassin wishes to overthrow the Chaos Gods, destroying the plans of each to come out on top. To this end, he realizes that he must tempt and assist other Renegade Gods, so as to truly wreak havoc on the warp.

Zuvassin approaches Malal, Malal is empowered by the oppurtunity to cast out his hated rivals and by now they are on about equal measures of power. While his hatred for all Chaos runs deep and true, Malal senses a basic similarity between the goals of himself and Zuvassin.

Malal becomes the basic muscle for the new 4's initial coup. He replaces Khorne, and the realm of flames and hatred does not become any less angry. It simply changes to cold fury. Where there was once rivers of blood and twisted burning spires, the new realm of Malal is silent, black and cold. A Mausoleum befitting the Renegade God that hungers for total galactic devastation.

Necoho, another unlikely ally with his miniscule power base and paradoxical nature, found his plans to eradicate chaos worship faltering. In attempting to devastate the works of Religion, the Doubter found himself and unwitting patron of nihilism and emptiness in a cosmos of pure blood. As Chaos Worshippers converted by the thousands to "his" Faithless Church, he found himself growing stronger against his own will. In suspicion, the Contradiction questions the Undoer, who fesses up to the organization of the athiestic religion. Necoho, ever a being with a twisted sense of humor began to double over in laughter of being the Atheistic Chaos God of Organized Religion. As his church of numbness and stoic oppression swelled in power, the jovial little bastard did too and the overall lack of pain or pleasure they feel began to disturb Slaanesh.

So Necoho got his own church bolstered by Zuvassin. He found this hilarious and went from being pissed to excited at the prospect of destroying all of the other gods, winding up replacing Slaanesh.

Necohoian Clown Marines, formerly Word Bearers.

Basically the Joker in Armor, each and every one of em. Incredibly serious about their smiling outsides. Laugh constantly during combat.

How about putting Tzeentch where amazement touches terror and Nurgle where grief touches loathing?
>>
>>44612706
The Machine God is a C'tan, or a shard of one.
>>
>>44620785

Both acceptance and fear are pretty Nurgle.
>>
Wasn't there a canon god if greebles/nurnies that's responsible for all the spikey METAL bits on chaos things?
>>
>>44621626
Given it is near "love" and is the weaker form of "trust", I think "acceptance" is referring to accepting people as part of a group, not acceptance in the stages-of-grief sense.
