Getting back into Heroscape recently, and purchased some of the MTG:AOTP map tiles to use as a ground level. Any tips on custom cheap terrain, or similar advice?

Dont even remember the last heroscape thread. Last i heard of any heroscape at all was people reviewing MTG:AOTP actually... of which the major complaint was lack of tiles provided.
Still painting for customs. Friend bought a lot of heroclix for customs for 80 bucks 2 full plastic tubs.
I played for the first time with a buddy the other day.

Yeah those expansions you have are not cheap now, I'm trying to find alternatives/hacks and homebrews of creating some trees at least. I don't know how I can do castle expansion stuff.

They are lotr hex game prepaints. Not too expensive. 1-3 bucks a fig on ebay. Stores were selling out of stock lasy time I looked but lots pop up.

I only own the original game and the road/bridge expansion, plus a few figurine packs. This shit is rare as hell, and expensive as hell when I find it and disappears almost as quickly.

We are using the magic tiles and buildinh around them now. And making an urban area with wall hexes. You can find lots for reasonable ammounts on ebay. Or buy singles from auggies. Figs can be glued. I cut pieces up to make customs
Damn, I remember this game.
I only had the two starter sets and a few figure packs, and the alternate terrain looked so neat.

In a way it did. "Magic the Gathering: Arena of the planeswalker" owns heroscape and they used the exact system in that game. They aren't doing the 3D terrain though, so it was a bit of a let down. Only one expansion has come out and people seem to think it's not being supported and doomed.
