X-white Heroic was a Standard deck until Theros rotated out.

Also, pic related.

Anything that stops them from being a 2 for 1 waiting to happen makes them at least worth considering, and that's ignoring combo pieces.

Totem armor worked well, and was a concept they could refluff easily.

The only actual enchantments in UW were aqueous form and cloudshift, which were both used to prevent blocking and push damage through. The ordeals might as well have been sorceries because they popped the moment you played them, and everything else was instants that targeted for heroic procs.

There's also bogles (and other X-G hexproof decks), and pic related.

Okay, so, what we've learned is, auras can be good if you have a combo. Like...
* Hexproof, or other things making your creatures hard to target
* Heroic, or other things that give you bennies when you cast them

IIRC, Rancor and Angelic Destiny were also pretty good in non-eternal formats, so you can also have aggressively costed auras that return themselves when the creature dies if your opponents response isn't literally in response to you casting them.

This card is both broken and unintuitive. It turns an enchantment into a creature enchantment, but then makes it not a creature. All that aside from giving +10/+10 and Annihilator 2 for one mana.
>>
>>44542059
It's definitely broken, but even if it's unintuitive, it's only as unintuitive as THS's god design. So it kind of has precedence.

Nice try OP, but you'll not be convincing us that easily.
>>
>>44543034
OP? And convincing you of what? Is it a lie that Theros gods are enchantment creatures that cease to be creatures on the board until a certain criteria is met? I'm legit confused as to where you're trying to get, anon.

An Aura that makes not-Gods into Gods is far more unintuitive than the Gods themselves because this conditionally makes creatures into not-creatures. Compare it to the Opal cards: they all start off as enchantments and then become creatures, never the other way around.
>>
>>44542716
PS:
And, just to round this out, OP's image is also a complete failure in terms of formatting and flavor, as the only creature in magic lore who has ascended to godhood was neither black nor white.

Gods also go from creatures to noncreatures conditionally. What are you even on about, m8? And what's so unintuitive of noncreatures becoming creatures and not the other way around? The only unintuitive thing here is the god phrasing, which is the same in the gods (it stops being a creature unless you have X or more devotion to COLOUR(S)), which pretty much forces us to be constantly counting our devotion. In fact, in the god cards themselves it's even more unintuitive, because of creature tutor effects, as proved by the number of people who think gods can not be creature *cards* just because they don't have enough devotion to be a creature when on the battlefield. That sort of bullshit doesn't happen with the aura, as it'll only work on one zone, which is the battlefield.

I agree that it's terrible in formatting, though. It's also completely unbalanced and should be just be burned into the ground. Just for the record, which creature ascended to godhood? Xenagos? Regardless of that, this sort of thing of a creature rising to a divine state kind of seems like it could fit in any colour, depending on the method used white through selfless heroism and acts of great value being rewarded with godhood boon by a greater power; blue through extensive research of mystical artifacts and intricate rituals; black and, to an extent red, through mass sacrificial tributes and/or pagan-ish rituals; green through some sort of deep connection with the world, shamanistic rituals, shit like that However, that sort of thing kind of feels very white - after all, it's white that does a lot of all that divine intervention-flavoured stuff.
