Zerg don't have access to anything that doesn't work in RL with two exceptions.
1) Queens and Overlords have human - level intelligence, wide - range telepathy, and very minor telekinesis - much less powerful then a gun. As a result, Overlords can't fly.
2) Zerg hyperadaptivity is still working, but without Vespen gase it takes not seconds, but weeks or several days in a cocoon.

Everything else is just... Not working. Growing a hatchery takes several weeks, Hydralisk have firepower of an LMG, Zerglings are vulnerable to AP rounds or concentrated fire from guns, and even mutalisks can't fly without a major change.
As a rule of thumb, Zerg can research anything that we see in nature, combine it and make it ~ two times better. With some inspiration, they even can emulate modern tech, getting similar results as we do. They technically can create entirely new biological systems, but it will take months even with Abathur - level intelligence, and still will need tests.

Scenarios:
1) A single primal Zerg is transported into a secluded spot on the Earth. How long untill Primal zerg start replacing our ecosystem? Could we fight it? Can we survive it? How it will affect our lives? Primal zerg don't usually use viruses or bacteria as weapons.
2) A single Zerg drone without any supervision or intelligence beyond basic instincts and urge to evolve is placed in a forest in Siberia. Will the very stupid Zerg colony even survive? Will it pose any threat even to a small group of armed people?
3) A single Zerg Queen with telepathy and some basic knowledge of Starcraft universe is placed in a remote forest. It can use telepathy to gather data about today technology, and spawn some Zerg larva, Drones, Zerglings. It has Mineral - hardened shell and spine - launchers that are equivalent to 50 mm guns. It can use evolution chamber and even do something itself. It has no orders beyond survive. What will it do? If it is agressive, can Zerg outsmart modern military?

Zerg are honestly the shittiest bioweapon horde of any scifi setting.

At the most, they've held maybe a dozen planets.
Pretty pathetic.

Considering StarCraft setting, that's not too bad. They were more or less just natives of the Sector who got bigger because humans came into the picture. If it weren't for the Xel'naga crap they'd be just that.

Buggy aliens.

Zerg running on basic instinct are at best a very adaptable and very dangerous alien creature that can certainly out compete and push out more mundane forms of wildlife, but against military grade weaponry they're nothing too special to write home about.

Feral left-over zerg populations were common enough that Terrans in the starcraft universe would have hunting competitions and would accidentally hit and kill zerglings with their cars every once in a while.

The other thing you need to remember though is that Zerg are only as dangerous as their environment: Zerg left in a fairly safe environment would themselves become weaker and less dangerous as time passes and would instead turn to making adaptation better suited for their environment and less so for killing.

Wild and Feral Zerg on numerous planets during the starcraft 2 campaign were demonstrated to be weaker, but expressed numerous and varied adaptations to ice, desert, jungle and lava worlds to better live in these conditions at the expense of perhaps deadlier attributes.

H-how feral/wild zerg reproduce?

what kind of things can these wild and feral zerg do

>what kind of things can these wild and feral zerg do
>H-how feral/wild zerg reproduce?

Feral Zerg reproduce sexually like normal animals: they rut and they lay eggs with no real structure or conscious design in mind or at play. Feral zerg are capable of recreating their respective "buildings" in the wild, I.E: Zerglings will seek out the appropriate conditions so they can construct their own zergling spawing pools, Hydralisks will make themselves Hydralisk dens and so on and so forth. All Zerg can produce "creep"- they just sort of vomit it up like silk.
They obviously don't use these buildings for developing or researching upgrades, but instead use them for traditional purposes like shelter, spawning and a place to store food.

Feral Zerg possess no real intelligence and revert back to pack-mentality where they will only tolerate the company of their own kind with the biggest, strongest and most weaponized Zerg usually being the pack leader. Zerglings will gladly kill and eat one another and are capable of producing their own ecosystems if need be.

It's also important to note how QUICKLY Zerg can adapt and evolve in the wild when compared mundane or more ordinary animals, but lets give this a time-frame to add some perspective:

When Kerrigan ventured off into space to gather and collect rare and unusual Zerg genetic strains she was looking for the feral zerg that had been left behind when the OVERMIND was killed.

These Zergs had been only feral for about five years. In the span of five short years these feral zerg units were capable of adapting enough distinctive physical qualities to seperate them from standard or ordinary zerg units- one might consider even sub-species.
The "Raptor" sub-species of Zergling native to the planet Calus had adapted and evolved more physically developed wings so they'd be able to glide and better scale the rough terrain of their planet.
The "Swarmling" sub-species of Zergling native to the desert planet Astrid III developed the ability to gestate THREE offspring in a single egg due to the harsh environmental conditions and stress from preditation. The Swarmling breed also started to develop "supliferous" adaptations including fatter little bodies and a distinct sail fin- actively starting to physically resemble a more normal creature.

((Pic related. A big thing about the Zerg is that they're bred and designed for war- with little resources spent or administrated on environmental adaptation or sexual selection since they're very artificial. The Zerglings of Astrid III however were really interesting because they began to develop more normal or mundane animal-like features that the Zerg hivemind typically discludes from them- making them look like emaciated, horrifying, spiky death machines. ))

>If it is agressive, can Zerg outsmart modern military?

Oh hell yes. Modern militaries can barely handle regular human guerrillas in caves, and it costs them trillions of dollars to do so. Something as ruthless and adaptable as the Zerg would be pants-shittingly scary, considering we don't have any of the toys that Terrans have. If they set up a hive in one of the remote parts of the world, like in Siberia or the North American arctic, they could grow their numbers for months or years before we had any idea that they were there, and by then it might be too late to remove them.

Overlords have gas sacks to fly. They use telekenesis to move in a given direction.

1) >Single primal zerg
>So it doesn't make creep
>Has almost no way to reproduce unless it eats something that reproduces asexually and decides that is a good enough trait to keep
>And may even just die because primal have relatively low environmental adaptation compared to other zerg since they eat and evolve based on consumption not specific adaptation.
If it lives longer than one two seasons it will become an apex predator then just wander around being "That huge creature that levels cities."
As for fighting luring it to a remote area and nuking it would likely do the job.

2) Siberia might get to cold to fast for an unspecified zerg, the one on the ice planet from SC2 where already very adapted to the cold and even they where pretty hindered by it.
It would probably pose as great a threat as a large heard of lions, until it really got rolling with biomass and numbers, though given that it is Russia we are talking about they may just accept that this in now part of life and just means of needing more wodka.

3) >It has no orders beyond survive, assuming its definition of survive is reaching a point at which it has a maximum number of zerg in a given area such that any larger expansion is infeasable or result in conflick risking the brood it would probably get to the size of a large city than just iege up and try to fend off all the militaries trying to find out how to make their own copies with black jack and hookers.
Could it outsmart the military? Very easliy. Could it win? No, our final option it to turn a larrge area of land into a radiated field of molten rock.
