When making my D&D setting, I realized that with enough money and time, a middle class citizen of the Kingdom can hire a magic tutor. I figured if this was possible, there would be a whole class of citizen that is at least somewhat magically adept.
What I want from you is to pick THREE cantrips from the D&D/Pathfinder books that YOU would choose to learn to use in normal everyday life*.
*Tech level is around 1850.

Prestidigition can levitate things more efficiently than mage hand.
Lower weight limit, but you can move any number of objects for an hour, as opposed to Mage Hand's 5lbs but you have to cast it every time you want something moved.
I'd take message over mage hand, any day.
I tend to use Acid Splash like a paper shredder.
Detect Poison, more like detect date rape drug

Touch of Fatigue, slap mugger and their too tired to bugger.
Open/Close, Laziness? bottle opener
Mage Hand, Flip up skirts also laziness
Arcane Mark, Graffiti

Prestidigitation and Mending are the obvious choices that will get most-used in everyday life. I'd probably go with Dancing Lights for my third, because while light lasts longer, Danging Lights has a little more versatility in what it can do.

Prestidigitation, Message, Mending. If you can access a 1st level spell, Purify Food and Drink.
Having access to these would be so revolutionary to the people that it would be insane.
As has been said, if only 3, Prestidigitation, Mend, and Message.
If we wanna talk about the uses of cantrips, well...
Prestidigitation, Mend, Eldritch Blast.
Prestidigitation for work, Mend for my sewing hobby and repairing simple things, and Eldritch Blast because a combat ability whenever I need it is a nice prospect.
Mending is a must.
Message.
Light because I don't need versatility, I need a freaking light I don't need to concentrate on.
If I manage to get a druid to tutor me though I'll replace light with Produce Flame.
Light can be replaced with Spare the Dying if I'm learning spells at church.
