>Robot comes from the future terminator style.
>For some reason, it's giving the present technology from the future and the future notable items from the past.
Explain why.

It's trying to make the past into the future and the future into the past so as to reverse the flow of time

The robot is from the far future, where the civilisation from the present has wiped themselves out due to nuclear war/climate change/aliens/magic/whatever, and a new civilisation has taken its place and grown to the point where it can make time travelling robots. The technology from the future exists to combat that issue, and hopefully ensure that the current race survives up to the future that the robot came from.

The robot is taking notable items to his future because they're needed, either as antiques to sell for a shit load of digital cash or because the techniques needed to make them are lost due to data loss/memory wiping/lost papers/whatever.

>Alternate theory: Robot comes from the far future where the current civilisation has fallen and a new one has risen, and is just a massive fucking weeb for the present civilisation's culture, and wants them all to live with him in his future while taking key items to adorn his awkward [present civilisation] shrine he's kept in his manufacturing box.

Time travel is risky and the supercomputer that sent it back doesn't want to risk destroying everything just to give its minion slightly better technology.

>antique
But that's dumb.
If you take a toy built last year and travel to the future with it, they'll call you a scam for trying to sell them an obviously year-old replica of an ancient toy.
And if you take them a 10th century sword, they'll call you a mong for selling them a 21st century replica.

>Explain why.
In the pulp sci-fi series Perry Rhodan it's summed up as "Es geschieht weil es geschar" (it happens because it happened).

Future!ISIS destroyed most of the relics from the "past"
Robofriend is bringing tech to help defeat future!ISIS before it even begins.

The robot is actually the galaxy's greatest and wealthiest auctioner of rare and noteworthy historical items - his ability to locate priceless historical artifacts is unparalleled in 3457...

However, he is flouting intergalactic time laws by actively producing historical items in the past, recovering them in the future, and auctioning them for insane profit margins. To make matters worse, he's not above the creation of "cursed" items, for ghoulish collectors in the 34th century. To do this, he often "induces" huge and terrible accidents like the Hindenburg crash or Titanic sinking, only to later recover valuable wreckage.

Because those in the future are a bunch of assholes who love paradoxes. They also sent back children conditioned to kill their own great grandparents.
>>
>>44207339
How is it terminator style if it can go back to when it came?
>>
>>44207339
Time travel is convuluted bullshit unless multi verse theory
>>
>>44210255
He just finds a hole and waits the time away until he can go back, his construction able to survive the ages for at least 5 trips before having to get replacement parts or living out his days on theoretical wealth from bringing ancient things.

balance. Something is askew in the fabric of space-time - something important has been removed from the past, or the future and the robot is attempting, crudely, to correct the imbalance.
