The Odyssey style "let's try to get back home to our families". Family's the most important thing during Christmas. Make their obstacles based in the spirit of Christmas.
Kringle has been kidnapped by white court vampires who want to force Christmas down the path of consumerism for their own gain. The players are senior council, led by the Merlin, in a daring rescue mission. It concludes withhelping Santa deliver his presents

Some doomsday cult wants to bring an end to Father Christmas. Why? Because without him the sun will not rise.
Every year he must die so that the sun may rise but in summer he is only as dead as the world in winter. In winter he comes back out of the permafrost along with Jack Frost, the Groke and other such winter spirits.
Solstice, or some time around then, is his grave. He goes to the place of his birth and the elves wait for him there and slit his throat. A feast and a booze up and a riotous party with music and booze and red meat and drugs and sex and fighting and singing and any combination there of and at the end of it, as the sun rises, red blood on the white snow, a body burned and the sun starts to come up. The winter starts ti fade away and the world turns towards summer.
He is the elven king of the winter court. He is their god, their allfather. Humans are just children of his adoption.
But if he is murdered rather than sacrificed then the sun will continue to fade. The world will cool down. Although some life may survive around geothermal activity it will be surviving rather than living or thriving.

and finally of course, you have the helping santa deliver his presents, because belief is important

Santa Claus is actually Red Noel, a corrupt paladin that travels the worlds over and slays those that he deems as "naughty", all the while going Ho hO Ho as he butchers his victims and uses their blood to paint the snow a deep red. How does one know if they made Noel's hitlist? When Santa shows up in front of them and tells them.
It has been said that, should you somehow be deemed "nice" that Noel will give you the greatest present he can offer: to be spared of his torment for the rest of the year until he comes to judge you again in the next.
Your party is hired to take out some bad guy group whatever could be bandits or corrupt merchant or slave driver or even a fucking dragon and when they arrive at the scene they happen to run into Noel as he's about to decorate a nearby pinetree or fireplace with the entrails of the bad guy they were supposed to kill.
You can choose how to play out the next part here, or continue playing around with this scenario.
One way to do it is to have Noel begin judging each party member. If none of them are naughty then he'll just leave but if even one of them is then he'll unleash a wave of nigh-infinite killing intent and proceed to wreck the party.
Another way could be to have Noel ask if the party would like to assist him in checking his list twice ie join in on his killing spree as his little helpers. Have Noel target some of the more important npcs in your campaign, even those with close personal ties to the party such as family members or childhood friends, to spice things up.Give him a fucking polar bear while you're at it
