Kingdom Game 1_Map 1.jpg
2 MB, 1848x1308
Okay, This is the start of a Kingdom Game similar to those of the last few days but a restart to bring in new players and new life

The Rules:
1. Select a kingdom that is currently unclaimed, ask if youre unsure.

2. When you select a kingdom role 1d10

3. Name your kingdom, and name our ruler.

4. must have a trip code. Whick is ##(your password) after your name.
>>
>>44077312
My man, that looks much better than mine! I'll have [5].
>>
Rolled 90 (1d100)

>>44077396
Kingdom is named Greenland, since I'm uncreative. Ruler is named after his kingdom.
>>
>>44077396
Roll 1d10
Your nation is a strong Island nation, your peoples have been ship makers for ages.

You have a small population of 12,000 but your nation is dominated by extensive forests that bare fruit and small exotic birds.

Your coasts provide abundant fish, octopus and coral reefs.

Your western coast is to rocky for docks but provides a small amount of iron.

Who is your ruler? also what square is your capitol in?
>>
>>44077419
Okay King of Greenland, in square 22(x axis) 13(y axis) you find the ruins of an ancient civilization, select one type of technology to gain a bonus in, and ill tell you how it effects you
>>
>>44077451
Beautiful! Your a much better GM than I was. My ruler is Greenland XIV. My capitol is in the square with the 5.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d10)

>>44077491
Clockwork.
Sorry, here's the proper roll.
>>
>>44077501
Okay, currently you only own your central island, as the surrounding Islands are home to hostile tribes of primitive hunter gatherers.
>>
>>44077542
Can I build a clockwork robot? Like a dog, to amaze the savages.
>>
>>44077520
Lol I just used 90 as 9, Okay, your people have a mastery of water clocks, theyre rather large dont need metal parts (unless you choose to further this tech) You can build them anywhere and it has allowed your people to keep accurate time even at sea allowing you to make the most accurate maps of the seas and oceans that any nation has seen
>>
>>44077561
Clockwork automatons will require extensive study and resources you dont yet have.
>>
>>44077312
Give me [12], please.
>>
>>44077600
Okay Albatross I will wait for your role and ruler before I tell you about your nation
>>
>>44077595
Well, let's study what we can now, as well as mine that small amount of iron. Let's start doing what we can to domesticate the birds.
Also, what is the climate here? Like the Mediterraean?
>>
Rolled 2 (1d10)

>>44077629
Our ruler is Oceanicus.
>>
>>44077312
The King of the Lake demands his lands of 3 be relinquished!
>>
>>44077666
Okay, you establish a mine colony in your western zone, it will take some time to come to full efficiency, your research teaches you how to incorporate iron cogs on your clocks, increasing their efficiency and decreasing their size,

You send explorers to capture the small birds and they succeed. The feathers are quickly incorporated into the fashion and the wealthy start keeping them as pets.

>>44077698
Okay king Oceanicus, (put a [12] after your name)

Your northern most coastline holds several rich silver mines,

the central and southern portion contain large tropical forests full of banana, pineapple and medium and small sized monkeys,

Your central heart land is open pasture containing horses.

You rolled an increase of rare substance, I rule that in square 6,24 are large salt planes.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d10)

>>44077731
Oh right, a roll

Here we are
>>
>>44077731
role 1d10, King of the Lake,

Your Nation boasts the second largest population of 58,000

Your Northern Boarders are home to extensive foothills containing Rich iron deposits. You own a small porton of the forrest you share with [2].

The Lake in your territory has been considered holy for generations.

Your most abundant asset is the VAST pasture lands home to massive herds of cattle and buffalo.

Southern Coast is home to hidden coasts and currentl faces piracy problems. Your northen coast is frozen in winter AND spring.

>>44077789
Pick on technology to gain an advancement in, I will decide how its implemented
>>
>>44077882
Our people have long studied the use of projectile weaponry, famed for our archers on both foot and horseback
>>
Can I have 1?

Ruler is a pair of ministers known collectively as the Blues Brothers, at their own request.
>>
We begin to construct wooden boats.
>>
>>44077982
We could build those for you, as we are skilled shipwrights.
>>
>>44077982
>[12]
>>
>>44078001
What do you want paying in? Wood?
>>
>>44077938
Okay, your people have long harvested wood from the western forests, currently only King oceanius of Albatross [12] have horses but you can attempt to domesticate bovine mounts if you wish. You have excellent iron armor piercing arrow heads. ,

>>44077965
Please roll 1d10 (no one reads the rules lol) and put a [1] after your name

You have a large nation but the cold keeps your population lower at 20,000

Your western Nation Has gold mines but the conditions are rough!

Your peninsula in the south is home to a rare tusked sea creature. The ivory is very expensive but be careful the population of these creatures is not the healthiest.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d10)

>>44077965
Forgot the roll
>>
>>44078075
Sound out, see here >>44078088 for my roll.
>>
>>44078088
Okay pick a type technology you would like to have an edge in. I will tell you how it gets implemented
>>
>>44078108
My people long ago realised the methods they used for building meadhalls could make pretty good fortifications as well. Architecture if you please.
>>
>>44078075
Right, slipped my mind.

Anyway, we start work on some ships to patrol the southern coastline.

>>44078040
Oceanicus! My friend across the sea! We both have glorious pastures. Perhaps for the benefit of us both, we could share their bounty? I provide you with cattle, and you me with horses?
>>
>>44078040
Salt, a few monkeys, and silver. In return, we will see to it that you have the best navy there is, other than our own, of course.
>>
>>44078119
Your nation has shipped large slabs of stone from the western mountains all over your nation. Large stone walls surround your outposts and each has a large stone keep/meadhall
>>
>>44078139
We can build your ships, if you so desire. All we want is iron.
>>
>>44078139
You're certainly in a convenient position for trade and I've contemplated doing some with you, but I don't think I want to sell any fertile horses at the moment.

This is early in the game yet and there might be well be other trade opportunities.
>>
>>44078163
Excellent.

/spoiler How will this work in regards politicking and such? Is there a military element to it? /spoiler
>>
>>44078210
>He can't even spoiler
Did anyone else read both the entire rules and faq when they started posting here?
>>
>>44078210
Yes, they will help you if you are invaded, There will be as much war as you guys decide.

>>44078139
Your forest provides enough wood for a small navy, you begin work on 100 ships
>>
>>44078226
Read the rules alright, not the FAQ. Have a link?
>>
>>44078257
4chan.org/faq
>>
>>44078173
I would be most appreciative. However, if we were to strike such I deal, I must ask that you do your part to keep the waters between us safe for our traders. We have had a rash of piracy as of late, and without many ships to patrol, there is little we can yet do.

>>44078201
That is a shame. But be sure to keep our offer in mind for the future.

>>44078235
Excellent. With Greenland's help, we may expand that Navy even further.
>>
>>44078257
Go to the bottom of the home page. It's right between rules and blog. I don't want to spoonfeed you too much.
>>
>>44078235
Sounds good to me.

I wish to establish the capital of my kingdom to the west, inland a bit, using the mountains to cover its rear. It shall be built solidly with numerous round towers to watch nearby approaches, though the western side is less well protected.
>>
>>44078284
Sound out man, thanks
>>
>>44078270
We attempt to fight off the pirates whenever we can, although they are usually too strong for us. Luckily, our expertly made ships are always too fast for the pirate menace.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d20)

>>44078270
Your 100 ship navy is established while Greenland starts new ships before you.

>>44078270
>>44078323
On a roll closer to 1, pirates will survive, the closer to 20 the more you will eradicate them.
>>
>>44078360
>>44078270
You lose 20 ships in a brutal skirmish with pirates,

>>44078323
You lose a few ships , a small number in comparison to your navy of 300 masterwork ships.

Piracy continues to run rampant.
>>
>>44078390
Do we have gunpowder technology? Cannons?
>>
Is it too late to get in on this?
>>
By the way, our capital is the Holy City of Talran, in the center of the Lake. It is actually smaller than most other cities in the nation, as few live there, most only visit annually for the holy day.

>>44078323
Your efforts are appreciated. I assure you that they are a temporary problem, and will be dealt with as soon as we are able.

>>44078390
Are these pirates stationed in my nation, or do they attack from abroad?
>>
>>44078435
Not at all, we've only got like four guys
>>
>>44078435
[5], [3], [12] and [1] are taken, iirc.; everywhere is free.

We've just begun.
>>
>>44078450
What numbers are they?
>>
>>44078435
Nope, just read all the rules and post!

>>44078415
There is gunpowder but no one has discovered it.

>>44078296
Your beautiful stone capitol in the west is established,

>>44078436
The pirates are heavily based along your southern border as it contains 1000s of hidden coves.

But you hear rumors of a pirate city hidden somewhere on the island located at 14,15 x axis and 17,18 y axis.
>>
Rolled 5 (1d10)

I want 9
Also what's the general tech level, I am assuming 11th or 12 century.
>>
I arrange the finest hunters, architects and cartographers of my nation to make a thorough accounting of the nature and location of these beasts to the south. We need to know where they nest and what locations nearby are suitable for building on.

should I roll for their success?
>>
>>44078521
Very well. I must eliminate the problem at its source. For this endeavor, I will train a corps of Holy Archers, blessed by the God of the Lake, for the sake of routing evil wherever it may hide.
>>
We begin moves to domesticate some of the horses.
>>
I'll take 10.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing though.

My new kingdom, a union, is largely unmapped. I will send expeditions to survey the mountains for mineral deposits and set up mining towns
>>
>>44078648
Hello! Welcome to the neighbourhood.
>>
>>44078648
Greetings. I wish you luck. Watch out for pirates on your coast.
>>
OP, do we have any fruit other than bananas and pineapples?
>>
>>44078667
>>44078712

As soon as I get a little synopsis I'll be interested in trade. My region looks to be rich in minerals but low on flat land.
>>
Op, if I may, whats the situation with lands beyond the confines of the shown map? Uninhabitable territories? Doesn't exist? What are we talking here?

>>44078609
Might i interest you in some trade for said horses, good sir?
>>
Rolled 10 (1d20)

>>44078551
The age of tech is early pre- Age of sail technology, so yes around 11th century, with some exceptions

Your nation has a population af around 30,000

Your western Mountain range contains Extensive tin and copper mines, Your northen foothills contains iron.

Your central and southern nation is vast arid steppe lands home to camals.

However (because of your roll) the camels are owned by tribes of nomads, masters of the steppe. You do not control these nomads, but at the moment they are nether friendly or hostile.

>>44078562
The Beasts are massive tusked Sea lion like creatures, a roll closer to 1 your exploration will be a faliurre, closer to 20 will be success

>>44078579
You begin the raising of a might host of Holy bowmen. Young men start travel from all over your nation to join the cause.

>>44078609
You have succeeded domestication of your horses (I rolled a real d20) Your people have grown up with them for generations anyways

>>44078648
please put [10] after your name and roll 1d10

>>44078716
roll 1d10 to determin the success of your quest for fruit.
>>
Rolled 12 (1d20)

>>44078804
Hopefully all goes well on this quest. The wilds can be a perilous place.
>>
Rolled 8 (1d10)

>>44078804
FRUUUUUUIT
>>
>>44078786
The lands are surrounded by vast unexplored oceans and are unreachable

Also your men find some nests but are aware there are smany more, They bring back dozens of sets of ivory tusks, 4 feet long each, as well as meat and blubber. The central and coastal land are all suitable for building but beware winter will be harsh on you.
>>
Rolled 3 (1d10)

>>44078804
Here you go boss
>>
>>44078834
You find, mango's and because of a great roll you find both cocoa beans and vanilla beans in the jungle heart.
>>
Rolled 3 (1d10)

Requesting [13] please games master.

Kingdom is Abol, and our king is named Horath.
>>
>>44078838
Excellent. I will store the tusks and use the blubber as an interim fuel supply to light my halls while the meat shall be salted to be kept as an backup food supply. I thank my subjects for their work and gift them each a small quantity of meat and blubber for their own use.

Speaking of food, what is my countries situation regarding food?
>>
>>44078903
Could I get some tusks? I'm willing to trade small songbirds.
>>
>>44078841
The Land of hill and wood has a bounty of natural treasures,

Your Northenn Mountain range contains vast reserves of charcoal, which your people have learned to turn into gunpowder as well as use for fuel.

Your foothills contain a decent reserve of iron though advisers tell you it is not unlimited and you must use it wisely.

Your Central land is dominated by large forests that contain a species of large hunting cats that can easily kill a man, though these forests also bear fruit. Your northen coast is to rocky for easy trade but your western coast is more gentle. However you are currently dealing with a massive pirate infestation.

Your population is 38,000

>>44078903
You currently survive on blubber and meat from sea lions as well as some fish from your coasts but you lack advanced fishing or boats.

>>44078863
One second,
>>
>>44078937
Songbirds, eh? Hmmm. I am willing to offer 2 tusks, carved with runes honouring you and your nation as a sign of goodwill between our peoples.

Beyond this, I am willing to offer up to 10 tusks for trading. How many songbirds will you offer in exchange?
>>
Is anybody willing to sell us some iron?
>>
>>44079041
My last trading effort did not go well, but I am still willing to make a deal. These pirates will not get the better of me.
>>
>>44079041
Maybe

>>44079065
What are the quality of your ships? Maybe we can help each other with those

Abol is Heavily forested, containing rare woods that are vary oily and both burn well as well as make fine waterproof vessels

You have a tiny population of 20,000

Your people have long made a living harvesting
food, blubber and oil from the whales that live on your coast,

On a roll of 3 you get the knowledge of a rare substance like chinese silk or something similer, but it must be in the context of what i've told you.
>>
>>44079065
Ah Teldor, my neighbour. Might I interest you in some trade? I seek wood and ships and I am willing to trade ivory and rare meats.
>>
>>44078997
Two birds per tusk sounds alright, hmm? Could give them to nobles in need of thanking.
>>44079087
We would like to trade our amazing timekeeping devices for your fire powder.

Can the animal be more fantastic than a camel? I'd like pic related. Are there any wild beasts in my land like lions, leopards, cheetas and more fantastic beasts as well?
How is my food situation, are there any rivers?
>>
>>44079087
>>44079103
I am afraid my ships are only merely adequate at this time. I have iron and meat to spare, but as long as I cannot wrest control of the seas from these pirates, there is little I can do. I am currently training a force to eliminate the pirates entirely.
>>
>>44079132
I don't think you have earned fire powder, foreigner.

Not for trinkets at least.
>>
>>44079135
What do you have against camels?
>>44079103
We will trade you expert ships in exchange for a few more tusks, as well as a bit of gold.
>>
>>44079092
Is it required that our specialty be something as small scale as Chinese silk?
Is it possible for us to produce flammable oil as our speciality?
>>
>>44079132
Aye, and they have other uses as well. Perhaps you could stretch to 3? These are large tusks, after all, near tall as a man. A fine resource and tool for decoration and, between you and me, they make for very good arrow heads. Many You can make at least 4 quivers of arrows from a tusk and they will strike deep into your foes.
>>
>>44079179
I don't like the way they look, and I like the animal in the image whatever it is. Also please answer my other questions so I can plan my stuff and place my capital.
>>
GM, I'd like to eliminate the pirate infestation to earn Hill and Wood's respect.
>>
>>44079217
>>44079179
Lol thought you were OP
>>
>>44079169
Wait, friend. An idea just struck me. Perhaps if we combined our unique technologies, those pirates would fall much easier.

I imagine the marriage of our armor piercing iron arrowheads and your fire powder would be a force to be reckoned with.
>>
>>44079214
The deal is struck. Enjoy your song birds, comrade.

>>44079135
Oops, forgot the most updated map,
Yes they can be more fantastic then a camael, I like your pic, The animal is good at surviving long periods of time without water in extreme heat, as well as climb mountains with goat like ability.

Rivers are scare in your land but there is one major one cutting through the heart land(knew i forgot something.)

Roll for more beasts, as you send out a scouting party

>>44079147
Your archer force is assembled, appoint a general!

>>44079197
Yes, through the combination of whale and tree oil, your people have created a highly flammable and sticky substance, Abol Oil, (slimier to greek fire)
>>
>>44079234
Give me ships, or the knowledge to build them myself and we can talk about the powder. My people have the supplies but not the experience
>>
OP, what is the situation regarding my gold supply? I assume the mine is active but what level of output are we talking? Say in terms of lbs per month?
>>
>>44079264
We will work together to build an armada of ships equipped with your fire powder.
>>44079239
I would like to work with you as well.
>>
We produce alcohol and pickled fruit.

>>44079239
>>44079264
Is there anyway we can band together to eliminate these pirates from our sea?
>>
>>44079263
I appoint my finest general, Arlat, to lead the Holy Archers. We wait to see if other nations show interest in joining us in our quest to eliminate the pirates.
>>
>>44079309
Yes, I will agree to this. I will sell you gunpowder afterwards but keep the secret to it's production for myself. Those are the only conditions.

>>44079314
I also agree to ally with you on this endeavour. I will add those islands to my kingdom and we can meet upon it as equals.
>>
Rolled 5 (1d10)

>>44079263
Fantastic to hear.
Right now the people of Abol are going to do their best to increase fishing operations in the local area.
>>
>>44079315
I can offer to you some of my architects to design forts in the territory cleared. With a little effort, you should be then able to keep the pirates and such from returning and even have advance warning if a foe should approach from there.
>>
>>44079349
This could be good.

>>44079342
Hill and wood, what say you to this? We can all work together to eliminate the pirates, and make that island a junction between our nations.
>>
>>44079314
>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

GM, with the metals we have mined as well as gained from trade we would like to study how to make these gears into more than timekeeping devices. I'll roll for this.
>>
Rolled 4 (1d20)

>>44079268
hmm 150 lbs of gold a month, its an active mine.
which if you put 30 grams of gold in each coin (what google told me is about average) thatd be 2265 gold coins a month, if thats all you did.

>>44079234
>>44079315

With your combined navy and Holy archers with
armor piercing arrow heads

On a roll of 5-18 You remove the pirate menance from the Lenqus southern border driving them back to their secret bace, 1-5 You deal a major blow and still open up trade but some pirates remain hidden in their coves, 19-20 You completely elliminate the pirates.

>>44079343
You build more ships and start pulling in the oceans bounty
>>
>>44079366
I'll agree to rid the island and region of pirates.

The island will cause trouble
>>
Rolled 15, 2 = 17 (2d20)

>>44079263
I place my capital at the black spot, the nearby land is irrigated by the river and is highly fertile and has been cultivated for over a thousand years. Rolling for my expedition discovering animals. My kingdom is good at smithing. We make great bronze(copper and tin alloy right) statues and vessels(pans, pots etc). I am rolling for how abundant the iron is(will I have enogugh to equip my whole army and export ot is it something reserved for elite troops).
>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

>>44079403
I start building ships with Greenlands help, if I don't have any already.
>>
>>44079403
Hey, OP, what happened with >>44079314
>We produce alcohol and pickled fruit.
from last turn?
>>
>>44079403
Wait, so Hill and wood wasn't part of the attack? If so, then I want to make sure to take jurisdiction of that island, to keep up efforts against any remaining pirates in the region. Anyone else would still be allowed there, of course.
>>
Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>44079263
I'll take 8 as the Baroxy Commonwealth
>>
>>44079309
Greenland, how much would you charge for Greenland to help us produce a fleet of ships?
>>
Greenland, if you remain interested, I am willing to trade another 10 tusks and 1500 gold coins. I will trade for wood and ships but, if you are willing, I will offer favourable rates for the knowledge to build ships. My people are fishermen and architects, not ship builders
>>
Rolled 13 (1d20)

>>44079423
I just saw that I was iron rich, hopefully that invalidates my shitty roll(the 2). My army is equipped with the finest iron weapons and armor. We establish a diplomatic miasion with the tribes(rolling for that too).
>>
Furthermore, I send a dozen skilled architects to Lenqus to help secure the territory with forts.
>>
Rolled 1 (1d10)

>>44079403
Now making attempts to up our carpentry, what with all our trees and ships.
>>
>>44079481
Or for giving us shipbuilding training?
>>
>>44079487
I will teach your people how to create good ships, but will keep the knowledge to creating the best ones to myself. I will also build many ships for those tusks and gold coins.
>>44079481
Same as when I offered earlier, some salt, small monkeys, and silver.
>>
>>44079553
Mmmmm. Silver might be difficult to mine at the moment; we don't have any iron for tools. Are you not at all interested in accepting some pickles?
>>
>>44079553
Excellent. I thank you for you aid, good sir.

I employ the ships to patrol my coast, establishing a few coastguard forts. I will assign my greatest architects to this work.

Furthermore, I give the wood to my people that they may make better fishing vessels and improve our supply of food.
>>
>>44079403
Ah the ocean is semi-free to trade but many of the most fearsome pirate crews as well as the secret pirate capitol remain,

>>44079396
Yes, you have developed mostly accurate personal time keeping devices that can be worn on a chain. However they require daily winding and cost more then most of your population can afford at the moment. Since you are using both silver and iron the device is exceptional for the time period. More types of metal will improve the design.

>>44079423
You can have either equipt your whole army with iron, or only elite troupes but have enough to trade, your choice.

You find hyenas and baboons. As well as a pterodactyls.

>>44079432
You have the wood for it, and with Greenlands help soon have a decant navy, of 180 ships.

>>44079450
I told you you found cocoa and vanilla as well as mangos, you succeed with the pickling of them and you make a type of fruit based alcohol that tastes delicious, but it is very sweet.

>>44079467
No they had not agreed at that point, only said they might. You rolled to poorly to claim the island form the pirate lords

>>44079496
No you have some iron, your rich in coal. If you eqquipt your army as such you will have no iron to trade.

>>44079506
>>44079467
Fine fort builders arrive and start construction on forts, but where exactly?

>>44079472
Hold on.
>>
Beyond this, I will use 20 of my acquired songbirds to improve conditions in the mines. They will boost spirits and hopefully might alert the miners of any unseen dangers.

Should I roll for an increase in production and if so what do I roll?
>>
Rolled 6 (1d20)

>>44079615
I guess I will now roll to clear the pirates from my coast and the island group. not sure how we could coordinate an attack, maybe we should all roll together?

I also will send barrels of black powder to Greenland as per the deal.
>>
>>44079615
The fort was meant to be on the island, but if we were not able to claim it, then I would like them to line the southern coast, so we may eliminate the pirates easier.

Through my Holy Word, I also wish to create a system ensuring employment for all. We have enough resources to assign anyone as a miner, farmer, rancher, trader, scholar, or soldier. There is no reason anyone should ever resort to thievery, and from this point on, any who do so are violating my sacred word, and shall receive no mercy.
>>
I have
>Clockwork
>Amazing ships
>Tons of iron
>20 tusks
>1500 gold coins
>>44079423
I'll trade for some tin.
>>44079606
I'll give you iron if that can increase the amount of silver you trade to me.
>>
>>44079678
Once the architects have finished their work in Lenqus, I will happily offer their aid to you in forming defences against future pirate incursions, in exchange perhaps for some barrels of gunpowder?

If you are further willing, Im open to trade.
>>
>>44079678
The pirates seem to be too entrenched to fall to a single attack unless they are completely overwhelmed by superior force.

My idea of a potential new weapon between us may be the key to doing so, if you would agree to a mutual relenting of technological secrets to create it.
>>
>>44079615
I wish to send out hunters to explore the deepest depths of our forests for game.
What roll would be required?
>>
>>44079472
You have the Largest population at 75,000.

However your people starve as you struggle to feed them all

Your food is taken mostly from a horned type of desert goat and potatoes that grow in the foothills.

Your wast foothill range is the richest source of iron in all the land and your western mountains contain rare gems as well as copper and tin mines.

Your people lack the knowledge or resources to fish on your coasts.

The great southern reaches which is a vast desert contain a rare resource but currently are controlled by hostile nomads.

>>44079611
Your peoples quickly take to the seas bringing in a bounty of fish.

>>44079508
Your attempts at increasing your carpentry knowledge fail

>>44079632
With less mine deaths you have an increase of 25 pounds of gold a month

>>44079678
With the temporary lull in piracy the black powder arrives safely

However your attack fails, you lose 15 ships and the pirates are unnafected.
>>
>>44079708
I'll increase the amount of silver by 1/3, but only if you give us the iron now and begin helping us to produce the fleet this go.

I'll give you some salt and some small neutered monkeys now, if you like.
The silver will be paid after I've mined it.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d20)

>>44079615
Some other guy had coal and gunpowder, not me. Anyway I'm not planning on trading my strategic resources, so a mighty army it will be. Also how did my mission to the tribes go, I rolled a 13 out of 20.
I guess I can use the baboons as food and trade them for something. I want to domesticate hyenas(rolling for that).
>pterodactyls
Dyno army soon.
I want to start constructing a citad at the strait or whatever it is between me and Hill and Wood.
>>44079708
I want to get 20 ships and I will give you 8 tons of tin, as well as a large amount of bronze goods.
>>
To late to join?
>>
I wish to send a pair of carved Ivory tusks to Hill and Wood, as a sign of good will between our peoples. They are to be carved with runes lauding the leader and honouring the people.

GM, as outlined here >>44079886
I now have many more metals. I'd like to do more research, as well as tame those monkeys.
>>
>>44079783
So my neigbor is resource rich and weak?
I want to prepare my army to take some of those lands with the rare resource from him.
>>
>>44079894
My Northern brothers, you currently take great measures to trade with the other nations, by going all the way around the continent.

If we were to open our borders to you and allow you to travel though Lenqus on your way, it could benefit both our people. I could set up a highway from the North to the South. Does this interest you?
>>
I use the iron I recieved from Greenland to craft pickaxes and shovels in order to mine for silver in the mountains.

I would be willing to negotiate access to your scholars to help innovate... I already be some ideas [spoilers] Do I have cannons or just powder production? [/spoiler]

I'd like to put some effort into establishing universities in my towns and researching uses for the gunpowder. I'll roll for it.

HAPPENING
what if I told you guys our nation is currently offering great deals on flammable oils currently?
>>
>>44079955
Your army is starving and weak, mine is iron forged. You shall see my might
>>
Taking stock:
I have
>Walled cities
>A coastguard force
>Reasonably good food supplies
>Mines producing 145 lbs of gold a month
>Population of 28,000
>Roughly 2 dozen 4ft Ivory Tusks
>Skilled hunters, architects, cartographers and fishermen
>A resource creature of value
>10 Songbirds

I have 12 architects aiding Lenqus and am offering their aid further to Hill and Wood in exhcange for Gunpowder.

I am willing to trade for wood, ores, food and knowledge. I am also open to allegiances if anyone is interested.
>>
>>44079916
>>44079955
We do not approve. Would you guys like some tamed birds? They can send messages.
>>
I use my newly bought ships to blockade my enemy the Commonwealth, no goods will reach him. I also want some of those flammable oils.

>>44079995

Also, would you guys build us some walls?

>>44079980
We wish to have access to any creations made through our combined efforts. You may keep the secrets of your fire powder, but you must be willing to supply us with it to use our new creations.

>>44080014
I'll buy some songbirds.

How much?

Don't ask me for silver; I owe to Greenland what I haven't even mined yet. I can supply you with fruit alcohol (of which I have a replenishable supply), but you'll have to come over here to collect it.
>>
>>44079947
Your offer intrigues me Teldor. Trade between our people would benefit us both greatly I should imagine. We will need to keep them secure though, lest bandits should prey on our traders.

>>44079980

A medium sized nation of 40,00

The Mountains to the north contain marble and limestone, great for building

Your Large forest contain a rare tree that grows 200 feet tall providing much wood, as well you find a large type of slow moving herbivore similer to bison living in your heartlands central plains,

Also inhabiting the north most plain beyond the mountains are penguins.

>>44079799
You have begun positive relations with the desert nomads, they will start trading you for the not-camels as well as teach you to ride them.

You fail to truly domesticate the hyenas but capture several of them in "zoos"

>>44079915
You now have extremely accurate time pieces, made of Gold or silver with the finest internal mechanisms, they resemble 18th-195h century pocket watches

>>44079954
You double silver producion, becoming wealthy

>>44079955
I will deal with this war in next post based on die roll

>>44079980
Hmm, you establish a fine university in your capitol but due to frequent explosions progress is slow
>>
>>44080035
I am willing to negotiate sending you the aid of some of my Architects, if you so wish. What would you have of them and what can you offer me in return? I could use some ores, if you possess any to trade.

And I will accept your offer of allegiance. I thank you for extending the olive branch.

>>44080058
I am willing to trade 5 of them in exchange for, say, 5 barrels of fruit wine? They are a valuable tool, I believe you will find them of great value in your mines.
>>
>>44080029
You do realize that your entire population does not go to war. Also I now have cavalry mounted on desert animals and I can get some of the nomads to fight for me too.
>>44080089
How will the war work OP? Wi we just roll or will you do a write up.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d10)

I'll take 7.
Name it Phyrexia.
>>
>>44080089
I'd like to start communicating with the savages, as well as start creating more advanced clockwork.
Also, I'd like to trade with the guys who have penguins.
>>
>>44080145
Oh. Name of ruler.
Queen Vilrexia.

What's the objective of game?
>>
>>44080024
Ofcourse, we'll offer you a decent war-sized supply of barrels.
Dependant on what you wish to offer in return?
>>
>>44080065
Of course. I will start work on the highway immediately. I will also designate soldiers to guard travelers on the highway, though if you were willing to build forts along the highway, we could make it even more secure.

Regardless, the increased interaction between our people can only benefit us.

>>44080075
Very well.

Resources
>Fruit
>Cocoa and vanilla

>>44080172
That is to be decided by you. You have occupied a perilous position, friend. I wish you luck.

>>44080089
Kek , I'll take it. What are my peoples armed forces like? My land is made of two/three cultures. Forest, hills and coast/flatlands if that effects the forces I have at my disposal.
>>
>>44080065
What do you have for trade?
>>
If I can take an action, I begin to train my people in working the silver.

>>44079821
Using some of my new fleet of ships, I sail north to Zucaea and gift them some fruit wine and pickled fruit, that will keep during the long northern winter.
>>
>>44080204
Ooc:
So no clear objective. Right.
How do we know our resources? Our army ? Our power? Or is this pure rp faggotry?
>>
I wish to send another expedition to hunt the tusked beasts. Some of the best of my hunters are to be sent. I will roll a 1d20 for success

>>44080184
Indeed so, indeed so. I will send a half dozen architects to liaise on this project, that it may be made secure. I will also send a trade delegation with the right to trade gold and ivory to trade for wood and ores as well as a few luxury items.

>>44080190
Indeed they are friend. I am selling you 2 females and 3 males. Do with them as you please.

>>44080203
I shall accept your gracious offer friend. They will be of great use for my coastguard. What would you have of my architects in return? I have a dozen fine men and women waiting to ship out at your request.
>>
This is a roll for the war,

will everyone slow their posts till my result post so I can catch up whats happening with everyone???

Geomund has a smaller population and some iron weapons, however they have a cavalry and a few regiments of nomad mercenaries (better relations will result in more

The Commonwealth has a far larger army, that are all equipt completely with iron weapons and armor, however their supply trains are poor

Both Sides are suited to the heat.

On a roll of 1-5 Geomund takes a decisive lead

On a roll of 6-14 the battles will result in little ground won on either side. I will arbitrate what HAppens

on 15-20 The Commonwealth takes a major lead.
>>
May we have an updated map, OP?
>>
>>44080293
Need those walls built, friend.
>>
>>44080261
See >>44080014 less 10 songbirds and plus 5 barrles of fruit wine.
>>
>>44080282
OP will tell you your resources, he's just busy cause two players are going to war right now.
>>
OP needs to get in here and answer dese here questions.
>>
>>44080293
I'll purchase those songbirds, then, unless OP rules that I'm doing too much in one go.
>>
>>44080312
I can easily build walls for your cities and, say, a fortress on your Southern coast to watch for aggressors?
>>
>>44080089
I would like to set up a mine at the mountains to get some resources for building
>>
>>44080317
Correction, less 5 songbirds.

Ill slow my roll now. Need to take stock anyway.

Rolled 2 (1d20)

Taking Stock:

I have-
>Walled Cities
>A reliable Coastguard
>Goldmine producing 145lbs a month
>5 Songbirds (2 males, 3 females)
>5 barrels of Fruit Wine
>A reliable source of Mead presumably since Ive mead halls
>Roughly 2 dozen Ivory tusks
>Reliable food supply
>Skilled Architects
>Ivory Workers

I have a half dozen architects sent to Lenqus and a dozen in Greenland partaking in projects of fortification. I am allied with Greenland and initiating a trade route to Lenqus. I am aiming to participate in a project with Hill and Woods.

I remain open for allegiances and am still seeking ores, wood and technology/knowledge though with my trade route opening my need for ores and wood should be lessened. I can trade in ivory, which is a useful decorating material and it makes good arrowheads, mead and gold or even exchange the service of architects for aid.

I will attach a roll for the results of my hunting expedition
>>
>>44080466
Ouch. Hope I didn't lose anyone.
>>
>>44080393
The gods are displeased with this lose
>>
>>44080393
>>44080320
Its alot to keep up with this many active players, not complaining I can just only do so much.

Your nation is on the smaller side with 30,000 people, to the North you have forests that are good for building and contain several unique insects

to the south you have a decent iron supply but your people are not the best mettle workers.

Your central lands are dominated by swampy wetlands, however they are rich in both rice and bamboo.

Your people have an understanding for the production of paper

>>44080144
>>44080029
Geomund repels the attack from their eastern neighbor, the supply line shortage they faced really was a critical factor it turns out. Geomund captures several iron mines and the commonwealth loses 2500 population

>>44080363
DOne, you have lare stockpiles of material

>>44080348
>>44080319

The Construction of a major highway begins and makes great time ( I rolled a real dice to save time) Flow of goods and culture now extends between both nations

>>44080345
Your silver production in 5 mines increases, you now have a fortune of silver

>>44080312
You now have walls

Okay guys did I miss anything? continue to post freely Ill do my best to keep up sorry this took longer then I thought
>>
>>44080345

Preserve a lot of food.

Pickle it, smoke it, salt it, whatever. Ideally a bit of all three for variety.

Make any fruit that we haven't yet used into fruit wine or pickles.

It likely won't get very cold down here in the south, temperate probably, though food might become more scarce. Also, the fish might migrate south and there might be a change in the fish caught.

I base military power on population to start with, using 10% to get a number.

This is to everyone, Winter is upon you, last chance to tell me how you prepare, if you already have just hold tight. I'm not sure who is all still with us.

Just some more ivory, comrade.
>>
>>44080797
Ah a terribly harsh winter! trade almost grinds to a halt, piracy becomes non existent for awhile and everyone loses 10% of their ships., also for everyone I rolled a real die for each of you based on what you told me

>>44080795
>>44080771
You have much beef stored for the winter, so your people fair okay. Your northern coast lone stretching to Northern Soul freezes into a sheet of ice.

>>44080804
>>44080718
You go into full scale food production, your people have huge celebrations for harvest where much fruit, seafood and alcohol are consumed, with more then enough to set away from winter.

>>44080748
You got lucky, the nomads showed you hidden aquafers to supply water to your armies, as rain all but stops in the winter months, and the nights grow extremely cold even if the days are still hot. Coal is stored and your people are kept warm through the winter, food is not an issue

>>44080736
Your people only begin the domestication process, it will take more time. As I rolled a 1 and you a 2 your people are poor statue builders, but possibly building a school of the arts made of limestone and marble will help you(make it your next research)

You do fine for the winter

>>44080656
Your peoples do not stop their offensive during the winter, the water all but dissapears in the winter leaving your ragid supply lines all but dried up, wearing and carrying so much iron makes already thirsty soldiers worse fighters. Since you replied to my call to prepare with your attack order I assume you make no special food preparations, you lose 5000 population to famine.

>>44080640
Winter storms bat your island with heavy rains, but your prepared food means your people to not go hungry, however on top of the 30 ships you lose (10% from everybody) you lose an extra 20, you now have 245 ships

>>44080518
>>44080920
You do well though your villages are burried under 10 feet of snow till the end of spring, something your people are used to it
>>
>>44081029
Is winter over now?
>>
>>44081029
After this winter passes, my people wish to make a fresh start. The meager farming they've done until now will not suffice. I have my scholars study agriculture intently so that we may use the coming year to its fullest.

>>44081102
Sort of, you can tell me what you'f like to start in the spring but it wont be over until everyone either checks in or like another 10-15 minutes passes, the site crash probably made us loose a couple people. Im bummed we lost so much time.

Rolled 11 (1d20)

>>44081141

That's good to hear. Didn't know I had any of those rascals about but I'm not complaining.

I'd like to focus on my military using this time to try and work on tactics and the development of ranged weapons too.

Sorry man, messed up so I just deleted the post. I don't have any ships so I won't be able to send anything by sea and I doubt it would be a good idea to send people through two nations at war

Fuq. Site crashed and I feel asleep waiting. Fml

To build you must first break.
-The Great Prophet Zazareich

Twenty percent survivors of this campaign shall be reorganized into smaller self sufficient units. These units named the Claws of Zaz with a focus on harassing and bleeding the enemy dry with constant harassment. The bulk of the army shall return home to till fields and focus on re-vitalizing the potato industry. The commanders who have proven incompetent in the campaign shall be sacrificed to Great Gods for their blessings. May they guide us to greater glories.

Okay, your research teaches you how to get the fullest from your herds, you learn factory farming. if you'd like to us eyour fertile pastures to farm you'll either need to explore to discover seeds (die roll 1d20) or trade for seeds

>>44081208
your research yields advanced silver smithing (youre 12 right? put that or albatross back in your name) and you learn to craft fine jewelry

>>44081215
Your people build a massive limestone and marble building which starts drawing thinkers and astists from all over the world

About those islands at the mouth of our sea, do you think they're hazardous enough that they'd benefit from a lighthouse?
>>
>>44081323
Okay, if you make your research a focus on agriculture, you can stop the coming years famine, your army optimization means your enemy will make no use of the mines they have captured but you don't regain any lands, also the nomads harass The claws making it hard for them to hunt the desert goats and feed themselves.
>>
>>44081361
Those are the islands that house the pirates who have been giving us so much trouble
>>
>>44081324
Thanks OP. Let me read and try to smash my way in ever so gently.
>>44081318

So if this is your first time reading other peoples actions will help you get the hang of it. What would you like to research at the begining of this year?

>>44081361
>>44081383
Indeed, and they had time to repair their ships and recruit young fighters, they are begining their spring offensive

>>44081355
Nice, you discover wheat growing wild in your pasturelands, and being cultivating it.
>>
We sail north and collect the wood and marble given to us by Zucaea.

I set up a school of metalworking.

>>44081383
Let me propose something: you gift Albatross a fair bit of iron, we craft it into pretty good swords with our metalworking knowledge and I give you a hand supressing the pirates and we'll discuss ownership of the islands. How does that sound?
>>
>>44081383
The largest island should remain neutral if anything. The two closest to me I will request.

>>44081461
While I work on the cannons can I also survey the forest for useful materials or any resources of note; special animals, plants, trees etc.

>>44081382
That's the vague idea of it

Just a quick check do we have to scout nations to contact them or do we just know they are there.

>>44081475
Your fine smiths will take time to learn the new iron material.

>>44081498
Okay, what would you like to do next (not sure if geomund is still around, which makes the war hard but if he does't come back I will still let you continue it.
>>
>>44081475
>>44081483
If our three nations pool our resources, we may well be able to rout the pirates for good. But it might be more pertinent to wait until we have a new advantage that gives us the edge. Regardless, once the matter is settled, I'd like to request that Lenqus gets jurisdiction of the main island, but only so that we can keep our archers there to defend against any resurgence of pirates. The island itself would be open to all and a junction between all our nations.

If it's not already included in that, start researching uses for wheat. (i.e. bread, beer)

Fingers crossed for something good.

A free settlement jointly garrisoned and administrated works better. Or dividing the island in three...it's strategic value is quite high

I prefer the idea of a joint garrison over splitting the island. Ideally, it would become a hub of trade for all of us.
>>
>>44081580
Do you mean this turn of the next
If we still have more actions.
We will move into the manufacturing of better weapons such as barbed arrows and other weapons that inflict injuries and not fatalities for use by the Claws.
