IT IS ACCOMPLISHED Second Mask Edition

Discussion thread for Bioshock PnP system being homebrewed currently. Be it setting, mechanics or even discussion of the original games themselves.

The Homebrew is up for review and testing folks! Let me know if anything needs adjusted or of any errors that need fixed. I suppose it's what I get for posting it so early in a work day. Most of you folks proved to be around during my nocturnal hours anyways.

The setting is pretty open over all, it's mostly just taking Rapture as a base skin. You can repackage it as you like pretty easily.

Though, taking a second look at your question, yes, there is lots of Infinite content in here. All of the Vigors are present in the Plasmid list, and Gears are there too. A few of the weapons are here, and some more will come later after a bit of testing is done.

That's technically the same function of the Dodge skill, which could be flavored as such as you desire, For using the Plasmid mechanically in that way, there is no real rules for it yet, so I suppose it would depend on the GM to come up with something for the moment if they'd allow it. Idea is neat though, so I'll put it in the list of stuff to consider adding in.

Going to be running a Roll20 game for this in a bit. I'll keep folks posted.

Possible ideas for cheat/growth point usage
Lowering the modifier on appearance or sanity roll
Making additional mutation rolls
Undoing insanity, deformity, or mutation (would most likely cost a hefty sum of points)

Once you start using Adam, you need more and more Adam to hold back the tide of its effects on the mind, but taking more in effects the body. The Capstone is basically serving this function.

I'll take a look at the file here in a minute to see if I can finite the text in that section to make it easier to understand.

Posting in the generals might be better just to spur discussion among other players too, see if maybe other folks have had similar experiences with certain things that might require more immediate attention and all that. Hopefully we'll get some more of the old lurkers back too and have more folks playing with the system to help pick it apart faster.

I owe 13th age for the inspiration on movement and placement, so if you like this, might want to give that a try too. It's classic fantasy with a class system, but it's one of the better one I've seen in a while over all.

Gonna throw out some mutation ideas instead of bumping, feel free to add some of your own
Undertow: waterbreathing
Murder of Crows: nails become more talon-like (1 rank in brawl (claws))
Headhunter: eyes become more sensitive, improved low-light vision
Winter Blast or Old Man Winter: the character can see their breath at all times (not beneficial in any way, but not harmful)

I'd actually make this an Unarmed specialization, and turn Unarmed damage into Slashing. Very neat idea though, really helps the melee builds who use Murder as an engage and distraction tool.

Well, you could either go with the ingame effect, charge to add acid damage, or try something else
Off the top of my head:
Reverse the effect
Suspend enemies in an orbit around the well
Pull enemies toward you
