>le epin pauper players are poorfags meme
pic related, literally the first card i saw after opening one of my modern deckboxes
>Playing?
Caw Blade
>Brewing?
Dimir Teachings
>Favorite card / deck in the format?
I have a few, but easily Mystical Teachings as a card and Madness / Caw Blade as a deck
>Most hated card / deck in the format?
Fucking Slippery Bogle. Also Cloud of Faeries rustles my jimmies from time to time
>Your pet deck?
Caw Blade
Shameless self bump

>prove's he's not poor by posting a <$100 card from literally the latest expansion

Standard player detected. Thanks for the bump anyways

Pauper would be better if Delver was banned. Like, you play Delver, Brainstorm, Ponder, and Daze in the same deck. When did this seem like a good idea?
>>43821400
Delver is fine, it's Cloud of Faeries that is the main offender. Think about it: remove CoF and suddenly Delver doesn't have its explosive starts and becomes much more manageable. All of Delver's creatures die to a breeze, so you just either overrun them or kill the main offenders with cheap removal.
Also they don't play Brainstorm because they don't have shuffle effects, they use Preordain.
>Playing?
Nearly everything that isn't familiar combo.
>Brewing?
Esper caw-blade, I guess you'd call it. Lot of self bump and trinket mage.
>Favorite card / deck in the format?
Trinket Mage or Cavern Harpy. In terms of established decks, probs Kuldotha.
>Most hated card / deck in the format?
Spellstutter sprite/Delver. Playing delver or playing against it, it feels a solid tier above the rest of the format.
>Your pet deck?
Either UB value powered by Harpy, or the above esper cawblade.
I don't play yet but people of my playgroup have expressed interest in pauper so i am currently getting into it.
Brewing Aura Hexproof, Delver (mono U and UR), Tron and Burn. Which of these has the brightest future?
>>43823071
All of them have potential and most are t1 decks (hexproof suffers too much from mbc being anywhere). I find UR to be the most fun, but I like playing fast combos that can also play as an old fashiones beatdown deck. Also playing cantrips and bolts is magic for me.

Teachings. I hate pure control with no win cons. At least snow go can actually win games.
>pet deck
Mono green infect. It was my first standard deck and later I reused all the cards to build it in mode4n an pauper. I know its just worse than kilnfiend, but Ilove it anyways.
>Playing?
Burn.
>Brewing?
Nothing.
>Favorite card / deck in the format?
Fireblast.
>Most hated card / deck in the format?
Circle of Protection: Red.
>Your pet deck?
Boros Landfall.
Seriously, fuck copr.
Also, t4 instakill, bolt bolt chain spike fireblast fireblast.
Played this in a very small tournament on Saturday.
>>43825546
Have you tried Flaring Pain against CoP: Red?
>>43825008
Teachings has now a wincon in Gurmag Angler tho
>>43827767
Why not Shard Volley and Searing Blaze / Needle Drop senpai
>>43828454
>Shard Volley
Felt risky with only 19 lands, and needing them for Fireblast anyway
>Searing Blaze
Can't guarantee consistent land drops, felt Volcanics were better
>Needle Drop
1 damage cantrip is bad
>>43828670
But isn't Volcanic Hammer a sorcery? Wouldn't Searing Spear be better or is Dispel an issue?
>>43828816
Oh, never realised it was in instant.
Probably should've ran them instead, but don't own any.
>>43821400

some sort of faerie ninja deck, i'm sure i'm not the first one to do this but it's pretty fun.
>most hated card/deck?
Turbofog mill. Not because i can't beat it, it's just not fun to play
Is Affinity a contender in the meta, or is it go Delver or go home?
>>43830203
affinity is a deck and it's pretty popular
