Also the real sorcerer is veiled behind him and preparing to backstab. The person he killed was only a low-life or someone from his background story (needs setup throughout the campaign of course).

I really like the first part; a mask that makes whoever is wearing it unrecognisable by anyone. To whoever sees them, they are a stranger. The other PCs would probably freak out at the fact that the Evil Wizard is now standing beside them and quite alive.

That's not a dog. That's a monkey. Jakartan street entertainers used to have them and train them to pester/entertain people for money. For some reason, they thought it'd be really funny to make the wear doll heads. At one point, streets of Jakarta were full of these motherfuckers.
For some unfathomable reason, this was outlawed some time ago and they rounded up all the performing monkeys they could find. I'm sure there's still some, somewhere, but at least you don't need to worry about SAN loss for walking down the street.

The mask changes every quarter of a second to one of the last 999 living people the character in contact with it has met, and the thousandth is the characters' own face. Instead of contacting with the wearer, any attack that strikes the face will strike whoever has their face on the mask, twice as hard as if they were to be hurt normally. The wearer will not be hurt or stunned for any attack to the face, so long as the visage struck was not their own.
