>Games Worship sinks a year's worth of profits funding a month-long marketing blitz the likes of which have never been seen before
What would happen?
Awful new fanbase, /v/ tier threads, casualization, general degeneration and a sizable increase in sales of helium tanks

Given recent world events, it would probably snowball into a revived fascist movement, ultimately leading to WWIII and a unified Western Empire.
They could make a pretty awesome marketing campaign by building two small armies at the scale of their Stormcast HQ statue and play out a game in some key cities.
>>43729561
A looming bankruptcy, I'd imagine.
>>43729561
/tg/ would complain about it.
>>43730955
Would water remain wet?
Any chance the sun would start rising in the West?
>>43730955
/tg/'s already complaining about it
>>43731068
Not fair, tg is always complaining about everything
see this thread
tg complains about tg complaining about tg complaining

40k becomes the new big fandom among teenage girls. Any attempt to discuss the franchise on the internet is soon derailed with Tumblr-tier sexuality and gender headcanons.
>>43731825
Wouldn't work. There's not a large enough diverse cast of interconnecting characters to create fanart about, since so many characters are either male or all enemies.
>>43731879
So, derailed with yaoi hateshipping, then?
Hell, the Horus Heresy is pretty much already that.
>>43730303
I would like to know exactly what percentage of alcohol and Slav is needed to get to the situation in that picture.
>>43729561
Likely that management and the board of directors would be ousted by investors
>>43729561
>What would happen?
A lot of people would get excited then disappointed.
>Is that a videogame?
>Is it a movie?
>Is it some new western Anime?
>Is it a comicbook?
No, it's a game that requires you to spend hundreds of dollars on miniatures you have to build yourself, so that you can play out simplistic sci-fi combat with smelly nerds.
>Oh... Okay then.

>What would happen?
Normies everywhere would shit their pants when they saw how much our toys cost.
>>43730303
So literally nothing would change.

It would be a waste of money to put so many resources into a marketing strategy akin to one that has never been seen before
nothing. They get tons of free pr all the time, but GW hasn't grown in value in 10 years. Video games are made... but GW says video gamers don't buy models and they make no effort to get the video gamers to transition over, so that's just more wasted pr. They have no idea what they are doing.
They can't agree on whether or not they get all of their money from collectors or from new players. But they DO have a policy of disposable customers. They fiercely target new players or potential new players who enter their stores, and basically tell any one who's been in the hobby longer than 6 months to go fuck off (though in more polite ways).
So not only do they not take advantage of current PR, but improved marketing would only be a magnification of the current failing policy.
>GW goes out of business
Who would buy their IPs and what are the chances that everything will be worse?
>>43736091
>video gamers don't buy models
Then Amiibos are the answer
GW doesn't make all that much money in a year dude.
