>A town is having a festival with a beauty contest
>The PCs decide to enter the contest

How would you resolve this in a manner that won't ultimately result in a war that ends the Age of Heroes?
>>
>>43703840
In what role am I? The GM? Obviously I had a plan already, or I wouldn't have come up with something as stupid as a beauty contest. As a player? According to you, I've decided to participate, so all I have to do is not throw a retarded bitchfit over the outcome.
>>

>>

Charisma is not related to appearance.
>>
>>43703840

All the PC's must enter, no exceptions.

Their mysterious benefactor sends them to an all-expenses paid makeover spa complete with training on how to walk, talk and behave on stage.

Once at the spa they slowly get transformed magically into beautiful, adorable or cute female versions of themselves. Characters who start out female become more and more stereotypically feminine and attractive.

Their benefactor then sends them to be equipped for the contest, with each player getting a casual outfit which is a skimpy female version of their normal adventuring outfit

Finally they get fitted for swimsuits

Also, if the PCs try to start a fight, their mysterious benefactor is ridiculously easily killed and now the PCs are stuck like this.

This is what you get for going off the rails, 100% magical realm if you step off ths beaten track. Bet you wished you were still fighting the hordes of Ragmar-Uluth now, right?

(Str+Dex+Con+Cha) / 4 = Appearance Score, use this as a modifier for checks you make while out on stage, wearing a swimsuit, or doing whatever.

If I want to troll them, I'll tell them that they loose because they lack the poise and grace that a beuty queen should have

If they are graceful, they'll admit their defeat with honor, if they complain or throw a shitfix then they are clearly not graceful enough to deserve winning

Build it up to be some particular reward that will have the PCs backstabbing and sabotaging to try and win no matter what.
Npc contestant not considered attractive, possibly described as "hideous" enters and wins.
Plot twist, it's an inner beauty pageant, the judges all have undetectable scrying spells and can see the PCs being typical PCs behind the scenes.

Yes, yes it is.

We've had this argument a million times.

It's not the end all be all, but it plays a part. Just like how resisting poison is a part of constitution, but you're not going to be holding drinking contests in order to determine who should be in the frontline of the party.

We were about 1% into this arc before our campaign suffered Critical Player Loss. It would have been very amusing to have seen how the GM planned to kidnap us, probably some heavy duty magic haters. My character was shamelessly employing the "fall in love with me" aura from Nobility, so she probably would have been the first to get black bagged.
>>
>>43705111
Yeah, as a GM I'm trying to figure out how to get the group I'm running there. Got one or two things, but I'm gonna wait a bit longer, as there're one or two hooks they're currently risking grabbing.

>Implying my character would willingly participate in a beauty contest
>Implying my character would give two fucks about the supposed "no exceptions" rule
>Implying my character would EVER enter a spa

Yeah fuck that noise. My half orc brawler spent then last eight years before joining the party fighting in a pit for money because he didn't properly read the contract he signed. Competitions are a no go for him now, as is not reading the fine print. At any rate his face looks like he spent his entire life beating his face against rocks and trees for fun and smells almost as bad as he looks. The chances of anyone getting him into a spa are nil. He buys a room to stay the next few nights in and laughs at the party when he sees what they've turned into when he runs into them again. Alternatively I tell my GM to curb that magical realm shit or leave if he tries some silly shit with my character.
>>
>>43703840

1) Have them participate in a question and answer addressing political or social issues. Let them actually think up and create a small speech to sway the crowd. Have them roll a persuasion check (so charisma is still a factor) and give them a bonus based on the efficacy of their speech.

2) Mud-wrestling

3) Reveal to the PCs in the course of the first round that the entire contest is severely corrupted by bribery and coercion. They're heroes after all, and righting wrongs whether in a world-threatening or even an integrity-threatening scenario is what they're supposed to do. Give them the chance to bring order and fairness into the contest. Spur that desire by introducing a pure, sweet and honest participant who legitimately deserves to win, and then have the heroes' actions result in her victory. They won't win, but the person who does will be so deserving that they'll feel like winners.

Bonus Option: Have competition result in a war that ends the age of heroes.

"I'm still not comfortable with this," Corral said. He leaned close to the mirror, examining a face that was his, but...unfamiliar. The scar over his right eyebrow was there, the crooked tooth, his skin tone, his eyes, but all situated in a smaller, prettier face. In his old body he would have found a face like this attractive. Now he didn't know what to think.

"Nobody likes this, but we've got a job to do," Pellor rasped. The mage was annoying most of the time, only bearable because his power made up for his noxious personality. Now that he (she?) had transformed his pretentious wizard hat and amply filled out robes seemed, uh...more bearable? Corran turned his eyes back to the mirror, trying to hide his blush.

"You said it," Corran said. Had Pellor also been looking at him? He wasn't as...developed, to put it delicately, but the mage had been staring at his legs? Maybe?

"...alright, we both know what's going on here," Pellor said. He raised his staff, lightning crackling from the end. "You wanna just hate-fuck this out?"

Corran reached for his sword and shield. Left the scabbard on the sword, just...just in case. "Sure, let's just get real fucking weird with it."

It's not much, but it's something. Writing for a fetish I don't have feels kinda weird.

Probably not tonight, I only wrote a bit because the other anon never came through. I was working a bit on something about a barbarian being disgusted by his new soft body with its lack of muscles and overabundance of squishy bits but I couldn't think of anywhere for it to go besides another implied yuri scene with the party rogue, originally a woman who was into the barbarian as a man and is confused by how much hotter she's finding this new version of him? It just wasn't quite coming together and my movie's about to start, may take another stab at it later.

Also I don't remember how explicit written stuff can be on a blue board?
>>
>>43747602
Honestly I'd be fine with a story just about adventurers getting used to their new feminine body and learning to flaunt their stuff, implied or actual yuri is fine

And technically lewd text never counts as NSFW, it can count as off topic/garbage, but not NSFW. If you're worried post it in a greentext

Eofen swung his sword clumsily, rotating his whole body into the strike in a way that put him off balance. In his boyhood he played a bit of neighborhood stickball, now those skills were being put to use again. As a swordsman he found it clumsy, but with this weakened body it was the only way to get any power.

Luckily, he still had his timing and sense for battle. The longsword sailed into a gap between the skeleton warrior's defenses and sent its skull flying away from its body, the leaving the undead body to collapse to the floor. His comrades Corran and Pellor were fighting back to back, combining steel and sorcery more smoothly than Eofer had ever seen. Their brawler Orthus was lagging worst of all in this battle, his lifelong training in hand gto hand combat useless now that he could no longer trust his body. Still, half the skeletons were down. If he made a beeline straight for him Eofer might be able to skip straight to the necromancer.

He grit his teeth, hitched up his overly-fancy skirt with his off hand and prepared to charge.

* * *

"So it was the Bathing Beauties host after all," Orthus said, looking at the unmasked and severed head of the necromancer. "Isn't he the one who...?"

"The one who transformed us in the first place," Eofer said. He made his way to the edge of the stage and sat, his strange new legs hanging over the edge so his feet trailed in the water. They had interrupted the ritual of the contest, battled skeletons while the other competitors fled and the crowd ran for cover. Now it was just the four of them, a lot of bones and one corpse left. Eofer dipped his sword in the water and watched the blood drift off the blade into the clear blue, clouding it. "Also the one who could change us back."

There was an uneasy silence as the group thought about the implications of this. Corran cleared his throat. "Well, the Sorcerer of Sufett may be able to lift this curse. He's only two tendays ride from here."

>1/2, comment too long
>>
>>43764269

Eofer thought about his old body. The grey in his grizzled beard, the aches and pains of waking up in the morning after a hard day's march and a night sleeping on the hard ground. Developing his counterthrust timing to perfection just in time for his right shoulder to sing in pain if he used it.

He leaned forward to look at his reflection in the water. They were looking out from a dainty face framed with blonde hair, but his eyes were still the hard eyes of a lifelong swordsman. He pressed his free hand to his unmuscular thighs, his soft stomach, the strange new breasts that threw off his swing. If he had to guess, this body was...twenty, maybe? He experimentally rotated his shoulder a few times. Nothing hurt.

"I'm keeping this one," he said quietly. "It's going to take a lot of work to get it into fighting condition, but my old body was just going to get me killed any day. I knew it, you all knew it too."

"Eofer, that's..." Orthus trailed off. Eofer didnt have to turn around to know he was looking at the too-often broken knuckles on his right fist, young and strong for the first time in a long time. The mind of a martial arts master in a blank slate of a body. He was starting to see the potential.

"I could...try it out," Pellor mumbled. Corran grunted in acknowledgement.

"Let's try it out for a bit, then," Eofer said, rising to his feet. He swung the oversize blade to rest against his shoulder and turned to face his men. Corran and Pellor were standing together and holding hands, the mage as poker-faced as the fighter was blushing and embarrassed. Orthus was tearing the useless sleeves off of his outfit to make something more comfortable to travel in. Eofer felt his blood start burning like it did all those years ago when he left the family farm for a life of adventure. An involuntary grin spread across his face.

"We stand as one, then. To new adventures!"
