Is it possible to run a fantasy campaign where transformation magic is prevalent without players turning it into their magical realm?
>Is it possible to...
Yes.
Yes, just don't play with people who cannot control themselves. But if your definition of magic realm stretches to include people transforming into a giant lizardman and wrecking stuff because it's "furry" then you'll have a slightly harder time.

Have their mom play the game with them. Nobody's getting into magical realm shit in front of their mom.

That only leads to discovering incestuous relations.

I've been playing for a little over twenty years, and I have only ran into obvious magical realm shit twice, in all of those years. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but if you don't play with autistic virgins, it's probably not gonna happen.

It's possible, yes. Transformation has huge problems even without Magical Realm though. It's one of those types of magic that's completely game-breaking in all but the most high-powered settings.

Look gor the goblin king cyoa, the goblin king have powers and he can share those powers with their goblins.
So any non goblin charachter can't use those powers.
Hand your players a list with transformations that are available to them.
