Dark Eldar up in this bitch
"Get off my lawns. All of them."
>Orks tied for first place
What?
IG have the most character.
Adeptus Mechanicus. Don't really want to invest in 40k.
Since I can't play Epic, I'm making do with painting my Dystopian Wars Covenant fleet red.
I can only hope that GW doesn't fuck up this specialist games thing they're doing.
>>43618675
>generic humans
>most character
>>43620683
Thats what makes them characterful, they are not power armoured demigods. They are just ordinary men fighting against all the horrors of 40k
>>43620648
The red looks good on Covenant
>>43620683
He is right mate, they are the most versatile and relateable race.
My favorite faction is the Tau. Not becuse the have battlesuits but becuase of thier lore
They are the young, upstart and naïve race that doesn't know jack shit about the galaxy. And I like that. The battlesuits and guns is just a bonus

Ad Mech in General, Skitarii to be spesifi.
I like the idea of Ad Mech version of IG, they are relentless guardian of the forge that still has their own personality even to the most scared sicarians, not just mindless automaton. And their model are one of the best in the market to.
>>43620648
Why can't you play Epic? I've seen some pretty nice Ad Mech proxies.
>>43621265
Who am I going to play it with? I know exactly one person who has any Epic stuff at all, and that's just a half-built unpainted Imperator that's been sat on his mantelpiece for years.
Adepta Sororitas.
They are such a versatile group. Where most of the Imperial Armies exist purely to fight, the Sisters are part of all facets of Imperial Life. You could tell a damn lot of stories with them even outside the Battle Sisters.
>>43620718
Where's that from?
>>43617615
>17 (SEVENTEEN) commissars.
Jesus, that regiment must be made of mutant traitor heathen penal troops to require that much morale management.
>>43621401
Ah that's a shame :( you can't convince anyone to make the jump with you?
>>43622372
Possibly, but getting people to pick up new official models will probably be much easier than convincing them to buy/find proxies. And since there are a fair few pre-existing 40k players around, I think it'll be easier to get them to play than getting the lazy asshats who play Dystopian Wars to try another new game (My fleet looks like an international prize winning paint job next to everyone else around). And don't get me started in the guy who called his Ryuo Skimmer "Reaper-Chan".
>>43617982
>>43622569
Lmao, sounds like a fun bunch. Let's hold out for new Epic stuff, it will be so much easier to convince people to play when there are official models and rules. Some people seem to be completely terrified of anything without a stamp of approval from a big company for some reason.
>>43620709
This is so much not happening.
>>43620700
Which adds jack shit in terms of character. Character comes from actual writing, from building the faction from the ground up and immense detail. Not only is being a demigod/superhuman prevent you from having lots of character (or else Greek literature wouldn't be a thing), but Astartes have the most world building than any other faction in 40k.
>>43617615
>guard in the lead
>>43620709
Don't get me wrong, I love my guardsmen they are the single biggest reason after the emperor himself for why the emporium still exists But in no way could I see it being a successful strategy for the guardsmen to engage in melee with space marines, Not unless you are willing to take 70% + in causalities.
>>43624011
sorry the ant picture was my only copy of said pic, it has been BLAMED! So have a commissar instead.
>>43622310
Well if you look closer, that regiment looks like a mix of several depleted regiments; I see Cadian and Valhallan units at least, with Atillan Rough Riders and Catachans in the back, so really I would guess that these units all got squished together and formed into a single unit, keeping their comissars as they went.
Its a beautiful collection though.

Catholic France, now and forever
the space marine selection process is harder than a lifetime of guardsmanship and occurs before power armor

I would like Sororitas a whole lot more if they had modern plastic models. I can guarantee you I would even own an army of them.
>>43627831
This. There's so much I want to do with them, but then I remember that its all metal.
>>43623132
>so not happening
My favourite bit in every hoo-rah propaganda illo like this one is the supposition that Evil Tank Giants with rapid-fire rocket launchers would obligingly let the tiny, squishy flashlight guys get close enough to re-enact the Blazing Saddles finale.
"Get 'em, girls!!!"
>>43623132
Eh, Thousand Sons are pretty terrible.
>>43627831
Perhaps when geedubs is finally able to sculpt a female face.
>>43627831
Oh yeah. I'd love to get some.
Especially with that Sallet Helm. Seriously, best helmet in all of 40k.
>tfw you cant decide if you love spiky space elves or guard more
>All marines put together still lower than the Guard
>>43629282
Maybe they could just use the helmeted versions more.
Or just tell the designers to make Eldar heads then file down the ears.
>>43620709
wait, when did the 1k sons get into a comic? can a battle brother get a source on that?

You. I like you. Deldar for life.
Death to all corpse worshipers.
>>43624011
>>43623132
Slow and Purposeful, bitch. No overwatch. I have had a squad of my guard beat a Space Marine squad in melee... Ok, it was much more luck than judgement, and they did have a Primaris Psyker giving them Endurance, but we won, nonetheless.
>>43626989
Oh quite agreed foul xenos scum.
>>43631970
I recall a friend of mine once charging a unit of Firewarriors with a Bloodthirster. He went down like a bitch in a single assault phase.
>>43617615
I know nothing about W40k aside from the lore. How good are Eldar Harlequins? I really like their fluff and aesthetic but no one talks about them
>>43623538
This guy gets it. All the faggot IGfags who claim IG are the "deepest" or "most character" faction are dumbasses. Why is it in every other game, people say the human race or character is the MOST BORING or LEAST CHARACTERFUL. It's for that exact reason that IG is the LEAST characterful race in 40k. They're just humans. They lack every single hundred qualities that make all the non-human races interesting.

OH BOY ARMY MEN, ORKS, AND TAU HOW FUCKING SURPRISING AND NOT SHOCKING IN ANY WAY THAT YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF BORING, LE RANDUMB WEEABOO PUSSIES.
>>43633295
well, they're called murderclowns for a reason and they flip around the battlefield slaughtering things if they get into combat. they also do plays and keep the peace between the eldar factions. they're an ally book
>>43633519
Yeah because you can't like space marines over IG. This entire conversation is mainly IGfags claiming boring ass humans are more interesting and space marines are "boring" despite being different than regular boring humans.
>>43633519
>posts image of a traitor
IGfags pls
Even Severan Dominate is more lame and boring than Astral Claws/Badab.
>>43633526
I like how there's only like 6 votes for space marines and some dumbass in this thread was all like "LOL OMG AM IS MORE POPULAR THAN MARINES"
Like 6 is even close to the amount of marine players in a single fucking store, let alone the entire world. Even GTs show representation by faction and the field is like 75% eldar necrons and marines.
>>43633589
So would playing them alongside of normal craftworld eldar be the way to go?
>>43633788
go for it
>>43633788
You can run them by themselves, though they don't have a very wide variety. Allying them with either Craftworld or Dark Eldar is what most people do.
>>43617615
>Astra Mili-tardum
Not Imperial Guard
Get outta here kiddo
Do you think that geedubs employees get a pay cut orspankingsif they say Imperial Guard instead of AM?
