It wouldn't too hard to convert ships into 40K style, I've never really liked the imperial counterpart and would love to try that.
It could also mean that theses battleships could have deckmounted catapults for fighters just as battleships from WW2.

You just need to Macross Missile Massacre everything until victory, so maybe just roll with a straight missile ship or an aircraft carrier with a bunch of bombers. Launch those off a catapult and voila.

Well, I'd probably give it Gothic style but i'd probably design it to be without a rail system and be add elements from tanks of that era.
