"Loyal servants of The Emperor! Cast off the shackles of the High Lords of Terra, who twist His light to their own purposes! Join the Severan Dominate, in His name!"
>>43536471
Sure.
Man, its nice having friends for once, totally not evil chaos corrupted friends at that!
>>43536471
Give up separatist bastard! Your little rebellion ends now!
>>43536471
get rekt rebel scum
>>43537549
>>43537491
The Severan Dominate Stands ready to defend the true servants of the emperor.
Severan Dominate? I thought we were the Dominate of Severus
>>43537549
But... have you noticed all the skulls tho?
... are we the baddies?
>>43537721
The baddies have even more skulls, dontcha know?
>>43537721
>being afraid of skulls
literally heretical
don't apply 21st century standards to 40k
ain't this guy actually an asshole who only decided to secede when the IOM started discovering all his shift deal and shit before he had a chance to flee?
>>43537721
The skulls represent humanity you faggot.
>>43537721
>>43537759
Kind of. He's the product of a dozen generations of hate towards the Imperium, but that hate was somewhat justified at the time. It sure isn't now.
Personally, I love the Severan Dominate perspective. 40k has always been about seeing things from every scale. Yes, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't even matter if the SD existed, let alone successfully rebelled. But I don't care about the grand scheme. 40k's been talking about nothing but the grand scheme for 20 years! It's boring! Give me the views of a single planet, a single sub-sector. People who care if their country lives or dies, not their Imperium.
>>43537995
Also the aesthetic is pretty cool too.
I wouldn't mind running a game as Severan Dominate. Or building an Severan Dominate Army.
>>43536471
God damn it I want to make up some Severan troops.
They won't really fit with my Macharius Crusade army, but Roman guardsmen be ballin as fuck.
>>43538224
I'm sure once Duke Severus supplants the Lords of Terra, it'll fit just fine.
>>43538571
>Literally not even a hundredth of a percent of the LoT's available manpower.
I like Severans too man, but that shit ain't gonna happen.
>>43538599
I can happen! It might take a few hundred generations... but it can happen!
>>43537549
>Implying the Death Corpse of Kreig is worth half a shit
Enjoy losing entire battalions walking up a hill.
>>43538751
Nigga, there's wishful thinking. Then blind zealotry. After that, there is you.
>>43538914
>>43538571
It's not even their goal. They just want independence. No one in the Dominate cares about the High Lords. The point is simply to hold until the invasion force is needed elsewhere.
>>43536471
Fuck of cunt, if you truelly were loyal to the emperor you would not make his rule about your shitty little one-planet empire, you are simply another dictator trying to get some of his holy light.
At least the high lords don't go "The high lords are greatest in the imperium, join the high lords now!" cunt.
>>43537721
Maybe they represent perfect Terran bone structure.
>>43536471
>don't let them do this to you
>let me do it to you instead
Let me think about it. No.
>>43538206
>>43538224
The Spinward Front, which is where you'll find the Dominate at all, takes place a few centuries before the latest events in 40k continuity. You could reasonably make the case that the Dominate fell, but that since the soldiers thought they were still fighting for the Emperor but had been deceived by Severus, they'll try their damned to redeem themselves for their unintentional betrayal.
Boom, Imperial Roman Guardsmen.
>>43537995
>gimme
Typical severan entitlement issues confirmed.
The God-Emperor never promised you a rose garden, faget. Join the guard and pull your weight. Service guarantees citizenship. Or something.
>>43539423
True!
>>43536560
Brother-Sergeant, I don't want to jinx this or anything, but I have a bad feeling about this. I mean, these Severan Dominate guys seem mellow and praise His name and all, but.. I just have this feeling, you know.
>>43537721
Underrated post. Newfriends don't get it.
Does anybody make good counts as models for Severan Dominate?
Really seems a waste they haven't had models.
>>43540051
they're just cadians with bracers and shin plates
>>43540076
And different helmets, and leather skirts, and the shin guards.
>>43539268
This guy gets it
>>43539997
"Don't worry about us betraying you. In fact, we could use your aid with a certain Dark Eldar Problem we're having."
>>43539423
>Roman Guardsmen
Well there's already the Honorific Order of Tachoman who carry a Roman aesthetic but I don't think there's been any fluff published on them.
>>43539947
>1400 hours and still we haven't seen a towelhead today. What a lovely day, chap.
>Certainly. Hmmm why does it suddenly smell like corpse starch kebab?
>>43540051
>Really seems a waste they haven't had models.
Probably because nobody gives a damn. They're a relatively new IG regiment created by a third party, not one that has been around for years.
>>43547315
Still, Missed potential.
>>43539423
I've been considering painting some Tempestus in my Inquisitor's retinue in the theme of >>43538206
To represent an army of them serving him in order to try and redeem their people.
>>43548778
I mean, they're in the same boat as stuff like the Rak'gol.
Really interesting fluff and potential to be a cool addition, but it would be too hard to fit them in and their fluff is written by FFG not GW.
So wait, which book is the Severan Dominate from? This is the first I'm hearing of them
>>43551845
They're one of the three main opponents in the Only War RPG. The others being Waaagh Grimtoof and the Children of Thorns kabal.
Each of the RPGs has three main opponents based on the setting location.
>>43549373
I pray everyday and night for more Rak'Gol fluff. Fuckers are scary.
>>43551941
Chaos is ar around. But surprisingly sparse.
>>43540776
Robot bird legs make run fast
>>43536471
Look, man, this is just a job. I personally don't hate you, but duty requires me to crush your rebellion. Fish got to swim, birds got fly know what I'm saying?
