Last Meeting: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/43384622/#q43384622

1: The damned Space Elves are still complaining we be "too ugly to be allowed to live anymore". They have stepped up war preparations. What are we going to do?

2: The damn Lunarians are fucking about with a Novalith and antimatter engines. The hell are they thinking?

3: Dearven are being fucks with taxes. They are being manipulated by the elves. War or no?
>>
I say we launch a pre emptive strike against the space elves!
Glass thier homeworld and go back home, where we then preapre for thier assult!
>>
Wait, are space elves blue? This is important.
>>
>>43442227
No brown or light skinned but some are blue.

>>43442220
We glassed their homeworld at First Contact. I think...
>>
We can handle the space elves, what we can't handle is the lack of Torbox crystals from Vredum-III.
The local Jooblatraxians are on a strike, they want better working conditions! Otherwise they will succeed from the Terran union and then they might join the Grodman coalition who is aiding the space elves in form of orbital factories and weapons
>>
>>43442271
Wasn't that done by the combined fleets of Mars, Jupiter, Terra and Pluto?
>>
>>43442326
Pluto hasa fleet?! Why hasn't I been informed? How long have they been in service?
>>
>>43442329
Viceroy Flod please calm yourself. Of course Pluto has a fleet. She IS a coreworld after all yes?
>>
>>43442344
How can I be calm!
If I do not know about any human installation then how am I supposed to tax them?
>>
>>43442329
They got Core world status by having the Third largest non Terran fleet in human space.
>>
Sorry for my outbursts, but we really need to look into the Vredum-III issue. It can be a major problem, both economicly and war alike
>>43442274
>>
>>43442326
Yes. Although the Klog sent a flotilla as well.

Also the Catgirl issue is becoming increasingly unstable. 2 worlds already are now 4 catgirls for every human and 7 worlds are at 2 or more per human. This is getting out of hand.
>>
>>43442375
It's simple, but a law that atleast 33% of ones total income will be going to taxes if you own 1 catgirl or more
>>
>>43442375
Mandatory spay and neutering. Kill any who resist.

>>43442365
My good man Jupiter fleets have found a new source. Purity is at an unbelievable 87.89%! The coordinates are being sent by secure blockade runner as we speak.
>>
>>43442274
A Terrorist group of Space elves called "the Brides of Man" wiped out those factories.
>>
May I also adress the issue that the human world of Erberita has not paide it's 5 year tithe to the Terran Union.
Therefor I ask persmission from the council to all me and my retinue to secure and enforce a new goverment on Erberita that can pay the 5 year tithe.
>>
>>43442410
We never approved the Union charter. The Council is a loose Coalition of human nations.
>>
>>43442425
My point still stands. They haven't paid thier taxes.
>>
>>43442433
what happend to my name?!
>>
>>43442433
Who's sphere are they under? If they are independent then they just opened themselves to annexation to who ever forces their compliance.
>>
>>43442451
They signed a trade treaty with my mercantile clan 15 years ago. Wheren't you informed. My clan is basicly what administration you have that connects all of the human worlds.
For a small fee ofcourse
>>
Another thing of note; My mercantile clan has claimed the Ice world of Snofrys in hopes of deveopling a safer trade route between the Orion sector and the Belt of Oidus. I hope no one else had a claim on that world?
>>
>>43442570
That planet is a penal colony of the Space elves. They put their degenerates there.
>>
>>43442591
Those are the degenerated that have bonded with a human correct?
>>

Sci fi space fleet.jpg
83 KB, 808x446
>>43442591
Well, I guess slave labour is cheap. And since that planet "was" a penal colony we will turn it into a prosperous trading hub for everybody!

My ships are already on route. It is too late to call of the occup- negotiantions
>>
>>43442623
Only the ones that couldn't get their human to stay with them.
>>
>>43442642
Well then Viceroy Flod. I'd like a prisoner from there. Female. Usual specifications.
>>
>>43442742
Noted Baron, also if possible could possible send a cargo transport or two containing Data-4-processors, i've heard they are the best AI units from the Terran core worlds.
I am willing to pay you at a resonable price
>>
>>43442764
My friend they were the best. But if you still want them that is fine. Of course if you do want the best than the Hartkern-7 is preferable yes?
>>
>>43442775
But can the Hartkern be mass produced?
>>
>>43442787
Only with the license. Come now.
>>
>>43442794
What will it take for to aquire a licence to mass produce them? Name your price Baron
>>
Have we finally reached a decision about those dam elves?
>>
>>43442917
I thought that was clear? They have two options; becoem our slaves, or be destroyed
>>
>>43443813
I was referring to the councils decision on whether we go to war last time I check it was 1 for 1 nay.
>>
>>43442917
I forward the motion to focus on defensive operations for now, if the elves strike first we can make it look like they're barbaric warmongers, which they are, and make it too easy to get support from the rest of the galactic community.
>>
>>43443874
I support this action. You have my vote on this matter Baron
>>
>>43443874
the Armed Forces are already fully prepared and on alert at the last meeting I asked for a decision to be made because the sector generals were getting on edge.
>>
>>43443901
My dear supreme commander, I think everyone is a bit on edge. I mean ever since this whole space elf situation started my shares in galaxy wide corporations has sunk by 2%. And if this continues then I might loose a portion of my wealth! So I an everyone in this council want this situation over as quickly as possible!
>>
>>43444130
Af Flod isn't close to the theorized warzone so it should be fine viceroy.
>>
>>43444199
Have you looked on a map recently Supreme commander but Af Flod isn't a place, it's my name, if you need to know the area of my rule, then look at the all of the legal trade zones that stretch the sectors, they are all owned by the Mercantile clanm and are thus led by me. So I am a bit worried about the theorized warzone, commander
>>
>>43444273
((sorry misread you name as a title I though it was some major space port or trade world
>>
>>43444315
No worries commander, mistakes happen

I also made it so everyone can see that I rule over something in the galaxy
>>
This reminds me commander, but there have been reports of pirates in the Strax Nebula that has attacked cargo ships and trading vessels. Could you spare a warship or two to deal with them, the Clans retinue is busy in other parts in the galaxy.
>>
>>43444374
I'll send a message to the sector general to deal with them.
>>
>>43444395
Wonderfull.
Now what else is there on the agenda?
>>
>>43444402
The other council members are off tending to their own worlds at the moment.
>>
>>43444446
Uh is that so. So it means that the only ones left are those without a "world" to directly rule
>>
>>43444457
No there's councilors who don't have worlds to tend to but tasks that need to be taken care of were the only ones here at the moment but I'm going to go check on the war preparations soon.
>>
Is there a map of the galaxy where all the Anons/council members domains are?
>>
>>43444509
((We're kind of vague about it nothing really set in stone I think it makes it easier to bring new stuff in.
>>
But honestly, regarding the space elves issue, we can't just sit around doing nothing while we wait for the approacing attack. I suggest that we move forward and set up outposts and other stations near the borders of the Space elves
>>
I be back from me expedition, lads.
>>
>>43446529
Ah captain broadside your back from the your trip.
>>
>>43446529
Greetings captain, I hope you've had a pleasant journey?
>>
>>43446635
>>43446648
I be bearin' bad news. Commander, there be nothin' alive out there.
>>
>>43446674
Where exactly have you been exploring captain?
>>
>>43446674
WHAT!?
>>
>>43446698
>>43446740
I was commision'd by the Commander 'ere to search fer the reas'n aliens stopped attackin' colonies near the Jericho Bulwark.

All the planets ye'd expect ta find 'em are dead. Nothin' but ashes 'n corpses.

Gonna need ta be paid extra if'n ya need me services again. Bad omen that was.
>>
>>43441887

1. Step up our own preparations. I heard they have an economic recession at Nessus. Requisition a new fleet division or two. Also send diplomatic envoy of nerds to charm the elven bureaucrats.

2. Didn't we send a police fleet to teach them a lesson? What happened to it?

3. Embargo them until they adopt less quarrelsome policies. Start with luxuries, then move on to high tech hardware.

>>43442375

>catgirls
Mandatory sterilisation of strays, obviously. Reversible process for now, perhaps they will get the message. And imprisonment, encloisterment and confiscation of laboratory equipment for any rogue geneticists.
>>
>>43446766
This sounds like a serious issue. Where there any signs of the attackers? Anything that didn't get burnt? Any records?
Did you alteast salvage something?

Also reminde me fellow council members to notify the Clan to foritfy my trade hubs and routes with my retinues.
Also note to self, aquire more retinues
>>
>>43446825
Aright, I'll answer yer questions in order.
1. There be nothin' but dead bodies 'n ash.
2. I recovered some jewelry, a couple fancy plates, 'n a box.
3. Think th' box might be some kind 'o record keepin' thing.
4. Box.
>>
This might not be to bad our information on the xenos was they were a very tribal society the most their governments centralized power was to build ships to raid our worlds in and past the bulwark the fact that something wiped them out shows they either don't mess around or those xenos were weaker then we thought.
>>
I propose that we give non militairy organizations like my Mercantile Clan more power and money then what we have at the moment, in order to create standing armies to combat this new threat!
>>
>>43446962
That wont be necessary the coalitions military forces are still on high alert for the elves were prepared for war if it comes and it would make coordination difficult if their were separate hierarchies.
>>
>>43446962
If you are worried about security, might I make a proposal? Olympus Corporation has a number of vessel-models suited to escort and security details.

For example the Phalanx can electromagnetically lock its distance from ships around it. Multiple Phalanx ships can form a literal barrier out of themselves around a group of ships. Their hulls are made with the latest in hyperceramics, capable of withstanding extreme heat and high-velocity impact.

Alternatively the Aegis uses the opposite principle: energy over matter. A single Aegis can project and electromagnetic field around itself and any allied vessel. It's field can stop or at least divert any metallic or energy weaponry thrown at it.

The Phalanx units are fairly small as defense ships go but can easily keep up with their allies simply by towing alongside them by locking to them and they can collectively tow along a fleet with the same method. The Aegis is rather bulky and a bit slower in order to maintain the integrity of their shield.
>>
>>43447406
Hmm, a very interesting product indeed. But here is a counteroffer. What do you feel about the Olympus Corporation becoming a part of the Mercantile Clan like many other corporations have done; a few examples are: The Lunar Alloy co, Zarabas cargo&freight, PlanCo drilling and many more. They have been secured financily and all of the products and ideas are shared in order to maximise profits.
We are not forcing you, this is just an option if the ceo(s) are interested, otherwise we can just resume normal trade agreements.
>>
>>43447607
Very tempting. Certainly joining the Clans would be beneficial. Simply having access to PlanCo drilling would assist in acquiring materials. I'm afraid quite a few of our researchers, engineers, and officers are fairly attached to their works though. It usually takes a while just to get them to sign off on Olympus using what they develop.

Maybe we could begin a trade agreement to open relations between Olympus and the Clans. Then we can discuss merging with the chief officers.
>>
>>43447903
A simple trade agreement sounds perefctly fine. Now I have checked the data logs about Olympus facilities. And I have found a small orbital dock near the Zepob ridge. Perhaps the Mercantile Clan can send a ship or two will alloys and other metals for a moderate sum of credits. Just to lighten up the relations between our two, groups
>>
>>43448408
That would work. However that's mainly just a research facility and refueling point. There's a processing and manufacturing facility not too far away from Zepob Ridge on Ixon 4 that would likely appreciate the alloys more than Zepob would.
>>
>>43448649
Then my trading convoy in that sector will spare a few ships to take a detour in order to drop of the cargo and recive payment at Ixon 4. They should be there in less than a month
>>
>>43448739
I'll notify them to prepare for the shipment and make sure the payment is there within a few weeks.
>>
>>43448796
Great now that this is settled, I have just one question. Where the hell are the other members?! Is it lunch or something? I mean we need to keep it professional here.
>>
>>43448820
I am still here but will be soon have to take care of something for several hours.
>>
>>43448820
Viceroy calm yourself. I went back to Jupiter for the last trials of our new Heavy Plasma Cannon. It is designed for our Medium Cruisers and up. It boasts a 50% increase in range, completely overwhelms a Light Cruisers shield and destroys any corvette. On Medium Cruisers it drops shields by 20-37% a hit. Not including the damage that is able to slip by the shield. However the the Heavy Plasma Cannon only has about half the shots of our current Plasma Cannons but I'm sure the trade off for firepower is acceptable. Jupiter Heavy Industries will be taking orders in a few months after we have retrofitted our current fleets.
>>
Terribly sorry I'm late to the meeting. Hopefully I havent missed anything too important. My cape got stuck in the door and I had to get my manbot to help.
>>
>>43449744
I am pleased to see the test went well, not that I expected anything less from the science team at Jupiter Heavy Industries, they are as you can say almost a rival to the Clans research team.
I and I can say that I just got the good news that our alloy deperatment has discoverd a new alloy that they call PL-Steel. It is supposedly 20% more durable than the common armour that is used on ships and space stations today, and it is aroudn 35% cheaper to make. Porblem is the materials for the alloy have only been found on one of our Clan owned planets. So we will be outfitting our fleet for that. But if anyone is interested I might provide some, for a "small" cost ofcourse
>>
>>43441887
1. Here's what I propose to do about the Space Elves.

Send them a formal message, in their language just to brown-nose a little. Inform them that we have faced that same opinion of "too ugly to be allowed to live anymore" time and time again from within our own species. Include a list and extensive summaries of every war a faction of humanity has ever waged on the basis of race, culture, and/or religion. End the message with something along the lines of, "You can deal with it."

2. Send a group of inspectors, designers, and engineers to the Lunarian facility/facilities working on anti-matter and Novaliths. Instruct them specifically to nitpick everything and, if needed, make up issues. If the Lunarian are insisting on building these we should make them really work for it.

3. They aren't happy with us placing a tax increase on the few things they make well, which is a practice that humanity has implemented for millenia. I suggest using the final line of the message to the Space Elves: "You can deal with it."
>>
So a Jupiter patrol has caught the demented bastard responsible for the catgirl infestation. According to our laws he is going to be put to death for altering the human form. This will happen after he is interrogated about how he achieved this.
>>
>>43452192
I say we make a deal with him if he reverses the process we don't kill him....and if he does it again then we will. I mean this guys has to have some seriously good genetic engineering skills to pull that stunt off.
>>
>>43452192
I still don't know why catgirls are illegal. 'Perversion of the human form' my ass.
>>
>>43454782
The breed far to quickly.
>>
>>43452192
>>43454741
>>43454782
Sorry lads. I be makin' too much money off 'a these girls. I'll be takin' the good doctor off somewhere nice and quiet for a while. I 'ave been told to inform ya that yer time is best spent lookin' fer a way ta "integrate" the lasses.

Apologies, but coin is coin.
>>
>>43454924
That gives me an idea~
CONSCRIPTION!

I put forward the motion to acquire as many catgirls as possible for the purpose of giving them the minimum of one week's military training, and to then be shipped directly into combat. I myself will take as many as possible. The cost will come out of my own pockets.
>>
>>43454782
Yes maybe not for Saturn but Jupiter has stricter genetic engineering laws. We'd lose the genetic memory of our home planet if anyone could just tailor themselves how they want.

>>43454741
Yes but he was found in Jupiter space. We have strict laws that forbid what he has done. Unfortunately my hands are tied in this manner. And no o will not disclose where he is or where he is being transported.
>>
>>43454961
I will pay you in platinum to bring the bastard to me. He'll be locked in a high-gravity holding area of course.
>>
>>43455010
You be a funny man, Baron sir.

I make much more offa these catgirls than ye could afford ta pay me. So unless ye've got a Carrier fully manned and loaded with Platinum, I think I'll be goin' now.
>>
>>43454961
Yes except what ship is he on? Or is he even in one? You know nothing. He will be dealt with by Jupiter forces.
>>
Pardon the intrusion sirs.
But we have just lost contact with several listening posts along the border with the space elves.
>>
>>43455078
'e current;y resides on the "Crowd Control", me good Baron.

I can't rightly say what ship 'e was on afore, only that it is now a bunch 'o liquid metal 'an dead Jovians, I'm afraid.
>>
>>43455155
Are you entirely sure that it is him? Not one of several dupes made to look like him and implanted with some of his memories? Rigged to blow in case he isn't given a specific code word every 5 minutes?

>>43455195
It's been 15 minutes 'an 'e is still intact, so I'd say aye, it be him.
>>
>>43455153
...

...

Fuck.
>>
>>43455225
Yes of course. Do have fun. Gentlemen of the council I put the motion that this scum is now a wanted felon and must be killed on sight. Oh and please try to not say his name for five minutes will you? Thanks scruffy bums.
>>
>>43455278
Might I just say that I am a privateer, and therefore exempt from many 'o yer laws, so long as I 'ave the interests 'o the greater good at 'eart. Which of course I do. Think 'o the prostitution! The money!

I 'ave done literally nothin' wrong, lad.
>>
>>43455153
We'll send some damn ships out there. Also I motion we move to immediate war footing.
>>
>>43455356
Except attacking a coreworld ship in their own space. No amount of protection will cover that pirate. I was willing to let you go but taking out one of my ships is unforgivable.
>>
>>43455399
Yer makin' a big mistake here, boyo.

Just recently I was paid 58 grams 'o Antimatter by some Lunar Communist ta deliver a message.

I ain't threatnin' ya, but ye'd do best ta leave it be.
>>
>>43455360
Sir, I am not sure you grasp the situation. Most of our warship have not been mobilized. Our standing forces consistent mostly of recon frigates.

Sir we are not on a war footing and unless we can do something our meager standing forces will be overrun before we can fully mobilize.

Also intelligence reports indicate that the weapon mister Broadside is referring to is unreliable and will likely destroy him as well as his target.
>>
>>43455431
No I am not. You are the one who attacked first. If that stands then who else is going to be next? You have committed a grave mistake pirate. I wouldn't have cared if you hadn't destroyed my ship. You claim to be a privateer for the greater good yet your actions have been anything but. I do hope you enjoy having nothing to spend your wealth on. Lunarian anti-matter oh please use it and take yourself out. Please I could use a show.
>>
>>43455500
Which is why I was hoping other council members where here to pass the motion. I'm sending some ships towards you please assist them in any way you can. They are commanded by Knight Reynard.
>>
>>43455431
Your actions and the people you facilitate threaten the continued well-being of the system and people we represent. Therefore we have cause to stop them and you.
>>
>>43455536
Thank you sir, I will deploy them as soon as they arrive.
>>
>>43455500
I 'ave connections, lad. I've proved that time an' time again.

>>43455510
Pity ye don't 'ave the balls ta come test me. The fleet needs some target practice.

>>43455542
A Martian. eh? Bought me ship there. They make 'em nice 'n tough, just the way I like 'em.

Speakin' 'o which, we are currently available fer rapid deployment anywhere you lads need. I'll even wave some 'o the usual fees. We've recently discovered some 'o the council is angry with us, 'an we'd like ta make up fer it.
>>
>>43455571
>>43455536
I'm not sure why you weren't informed but our forces have already been mobilized?
>>
>>43455586
PRIORITY MESSAGE TO ALL SHIPS.
Under article 173 of the Terran Coalition charter I am hereby conscripting all ships and their crews with in Terran territory. Please report the nearest Terran military base for instructions.

By order of Captain Inquisitor, Acting Commander Coalition Defense Forces
>>
>>43455663
About time sir, we have already taken over 60% causalities. The enemy has greater numbers then expected. I am retreating to the secondary defensive line. Send support quickly we will not hold long.
>>
>>43455671
We're comin'.

I just 'ope this really is space elves, an' not whatever took out those colonies in the Jericho Bulwark.
>>
>>43455703
As supreme commander I'm ordering the 4,6,7,11 fleets to the elven front.
Inquisitor I have a special task suited to your skills if you have the time.
>>
>>43455732
The configuration of their ships matches the the spaces elves. But they are acting strange, they are just throwing themselves at us with no regard for their own lives.
>>
>>43455805
I will make time sir.
>>
>>43455807
This isn't like they elves they prefer finesse and disciplined strikes
>>
>>43455834
We've changed our plans.

Obviously, they be runnin'. Me an' the lads are jumping in a bit farther back. I suggest holdin' fire, comin' ta me, an' watin' ta see what;s chasin' 'em.
>>
>>43455857
You think they're running from the same thing that torch those worlds I don't even want to think about what could cause the elves to run.
>>
>>43455834
No sir, and to make matters worse I looked into the communications breakdown. It seems there have been many instances of vital information not be passed on. it does not seem to be a technical fault. I am conducting a further investigation. But in my opinion it seems to be intentional sabotage.
>>
>>43455890
If they are, I ain't gonna be here much longer. I told ye it was a bad omen then, and it's suicide now.

>>43455897
Inside job, eh? Always hire the help.
>>
>>43455890
Sir it is not like they are running. They are focusing on large concentration of humans whether population centers or fleets. It is almost like they are rabid.
>>
>>43455897
I wonder if Markes had anything to do with this?
>>
>>43455932
RAISE THE PLANETARY SHEILDS!
tell the ships being concentrated on to pull back and move other forces into position to hit their flanks.
>>
>>43455964
The Super Heavy Jupiter's Pride and attendant fleet are en route. Knight-Admiral Kuritz is in command. They are armed with some of the Heavy Plasma Cannons.
>>
>>43455964
Any major targets ye need hit?
>>
>>43455964
Sir, they are gone. All gone. I am no longer reading and friendly signals for sectors 07 though 11, I did manage to evacuate most of sectors 06 through 03. But have less then a hundred combat worthy ships.
>>
>>43456024
What is your ship armed with?
>>
>>43456031
DAMMIT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?
>>
>>43456036
Standard fare fer a Battlecruiser. Plasma, Lasers, Kinetics, a variety of experimental and possibly illegal weaponry, the works.

Oh, and a Antimatter launcher. That one's me favourite.
>>
>>43456052
I have no idea sir. But I am ordering all ships to retreat to the Sol system to defend the home world.

Sir with your permission I would like to lead what is left of the 12th Flotilla to find out what is going on.
>>
>>43441887
>What the fuck? God damn it Knife ears
>THIS IS WHY I SAID WE CUT THE BUDGET
>... No, Kill Elfs we can't risk the dwarfs yet.

I got here as fucking soon as possible
>>
>>43456031
((btw sector is a group of solar systems when I say it

We aren't paying more taxes for the 10 cat-people to 1 human on Pluto. They are what is keeping us warm!

>>43456091
Commander please reference this message.

>>43456017
Where would you like them stationed?
>>
>>43456091
Guess that means I be backin' up >>43456082

Call us in when when ye need help, or if ye find out what's causin' this most profitable 'o battles.

>>43456120
Pay attention ye bloody idiot, we've got bigger problems, an' I saved yer catgirls.

>>
>>43456146
Ah Thank you, Free Anti-matter and ammo for you for a year because of that.

>>43456159
... Supreme Commander, What would you say if there were a few stored... Novalith's and over 500 Capital class worthy vessels? Would somebody who knew or was hiding them be in trouble or thanked at a time like this?
>>
>>43456194
A little of both. Also why are you helping a man that has destroyed a coreworld ship in coreworld space?
>>
>>43456194
your not in trouble were going to need those to take back sectors 7 and 11.
>>43456224
Wait what?
>>
>>43456194
I like this one. Would Pluto be a safe place ta drop off the man who created the catgirls? That is, if'n we don't get destroyed during the battle.

>>43456229
I'm a privateer, an' I was paid ta help a man escape. What of it? Ye know I'm useful.

>>
>>43456159
Sir, I have made it to the center of the enemy fleet. There is... I can't describe it. It is a metal sphere, but it is kilometers in diameter. It is not of Elfish make, but it seems to be control them.

Sir it gets worse, The forces we have seen so far appear to be only a probing attack, there are upwards of a million ships. They are not only elf but also dwarf, Terran and many configurations i am not familiar with.
>>
>>43456270
Do you have an weapons to damage it?

>>
>>43456286
The elves are attacking apparently they're being mind controlled
>>
>>43456283
I can give you an opening to attack it. But we will need something to exploit the gap we make.
>>
>>43456286
Catgirls are fine and I am deploying the uh.. Stuff I might've had stored for a rainy day against Luna... Do I gotta turn the laser on as well?
>>
>>43456302
Captain I wait til I breach the spheres armor then use your antimatter launcher.
>>
>>43456321
The good captain broadside has antimatter weapons that can do the trick.
>>
>>43456344
>>43456352
I'll wait, lads. Takes a while ta reload, so ye'd better hope we don't miss.
>>
>>43456367
Follow us in, we will keep the flies off you. As seen as the Sphere is breached take it out.

Alright lets do this.
>>
Alright here's the plan I've called in several fleets to form an armada made up of the 1,2,3,5,10,13,15,16,20 fleets we will engage them by drawing of groups of the enraged elves to separate them from the sphere.
>>
>>43456395
Just give us the go ahead lad, and these elves'll have the full force o' a modified Battlecruiser ta contend with.
>>
>>43456425
>>43456400
As soon as you give the go order we will move out sir.
>>
If they hadn't attacked so soon we would have our flagship available
>>43456447
Once broadside ready well begin.
>>43456425
hold back with your ship until we draw the evles away from the sphere part of the armada will move in to damage the sphere and bring down the shields when theirs an opening hit it with the antimatter launcher
>>
>>43456494
Hurry up already then, gun is primed and the lads are gettin' antsy.
>>
Alright all forces are in position begin the first phase attack and draw the elves away from the sphere.

They are moving off. Alright that's our signal go go go.

We are almost there but we are taking heavy casualties.

Did he really just jump Pluto? Moving something of that mass, with company, is really stressful on your systems no matter what kind of engine you've got.

Plus you've just thrown out Pluto's natural orbit. There goes Pluto's natural environment. And jumping nullifies your current velocity, leaving you sitting at your destination. Gravity's gonna just pull Pluto into the nearest star.
>>
Soo why don't we try and make this into a /tg/ setting? Motion approved?

What if we told them, that by us being ugly, they look more beautiful by comparison.
Elves are stupid and would fall for that right?, Then they must let us live by killing us they make themselves more ugly.
>>
>>43460738
This...this could work
>>
>>43459652

>>
Anyone still here?

Also regardign this "makign this into a setting" idea, it sounds like it could work, but we need to flesh out this universe even more. Like for example we need a map of the galaxy, more races, an insight to the policts, and economics etc..I support the idea, for when it is ready
>>
((I've go some backstory for the coalition if anyone's interested.
>>
>>43464654
let's hear it
>>
The first wave of colonization made having a unified government in the sol system difficult so each world was pretty much independent and developed in ways to make themselves self sufficient using available resources when communication and travel improved enough the worlds got together to discuss what would happen the idea of a coalition for mutual defense and prosperity was proposed with a somewhat centralized government based on earth the worlds that would make up the core worlds functioning somewhat similar to what the founding fathers had for the united states when it first formed. its governed by a council made up off the leaders of the core worlds, star system leaders, and important government officials. the core world leaders get an individual seat on the council because of how developed populated and industrialized they are while star systems are much less developed industrialized and populated compared to the core world. Mankind also met the space elves and have been in a cold war with them for several years not so sure on the exact time at the moment. there are several treaties/laws in place for the use of certain technologies like genetic engineering antimatter and novalith cannons and that's it for the moment anyone have anything else feel free to add in.
>>
>>43465196
I am not going to lie, that was very poorly written. Improve you grammar and repost.
>>
Here's a couple of setting ideas from me.

In the case of a ranking system for anything the difference between first and fifth is very small. The difference of the sixth and fifth is huge. A single improvement may make the fifth into the new first.

1. Humans have the best AI. The second best are the Dearven. The third are such and such.

2. The fastest ships belong to the Elves. Humans have the fifth fastest.

3. Humans have the third best Plasma Tech. Flog have the first best.

3. Dearven have the strongest ships. Humans have the third.

4. The humans have the most territory for a non hive kind life form.

That okay?

The Mercantile Clan was founded shorly after mankind ventured into space. They began as a small "unification" between the trade ports on Terra and Luna. But this changed soon when mankind invented better jump drives. And where new trade ports where built, the newly founded Mercantile Clan was founded. It started to produce it's own ships in the orbital docks of Mars.
Many years later the Mercantile Clan owned almost every corporation and trade route in the systems and sectors. But dark times where approacing the Mercantile Clan.

Alien invaders and pirates where destroying and buring planets and trade hubs alike. This was a hard blow for the Clan that took time to come back from. But after several years of almost facing bankruptcy the Clan pulled itself out and hired soldiers of fortune to take back and secure thier trade routes between the human world.

After they had seen what an armed force could do, the Mercantile Clan started to focus heavily on defending and arming thier territory, planets and trade hubs.
Now in the present day the Mercantile Clan has one of the biggest fleets in all of the human territories. They might not rival the mighty Terran warships, but one would think twice before attack the Mercantile Clan.
The current leader of the Mercantile Clan the "High Viceroy Af Flod" is a member of the Terran council due to his vast wealth and influnce of trade in the human territories.

Shown before you is a proganda film often shown near or on Mercantile Clan planets, trade hubs and starships.

what do you guys think of the backstory for the Mercantile Clan?

Can we try to get a comprehensive list of major groups in the Coalition? Governments, corporations, clans, any prominent families, merc/pirate/privateer groups? Where they primarily live and operate? What their specialties and industries are?
>>
>>43470718
Well each of the planets and moons seems to be a group.
There the mercantile clan which is a buisness corporation merchant guild kind of thing.
Theirs the council which appears to be mad up of the leaders of each world in the solar system the leader of the mercantile clan. Not sure how representation of places outside of the solar system is.
One guy made a character who was an inquisitor so that something we could use.
There's also a communist revolutionary group on Luna that's lead by an eccentric man.
That's all I recall at the moment.
>>
>>43470718
Jupiter has extensive AI research and development centers. They also are one of the primary proponents of Plasma based weaponry. Jupiter run companies largely run counter to the mercantile clan. Most habitation is on Thebe with some stations around the gossamer rings. Amalthea has a medium sized colony that does the bulk of research on Plasma weapons. Adrasta and Metis house the AI research.

Jupiter was colonized primarily in the hopes of having a staging ground for further exploration of the solar system and reaching the far off planets.

Some brainstorming from me.
>>
>>43470718
Mars is naturally geared towards mining the asteroid belt, supplementing normal planetary mining. Mars is also very prominent in producing ships. They produce a very large number of sturdy, general purpose ships on a regular basis. These are also supplemented by more specialized craft, like the Phalanx and Aegis.

Olympus Corporation is a major player on Mars's industrial industry. The headquarters and original facility are located on the slope of Olympus Mons and utilizes the heat from the volcano to assist the energy efficiency of the processing of materials.

The Cadmus family were some of the first to start a corporation on Mars, literally purchasing the Sol system's largest volcano, Olympus Mons, to build their facility and family home on. The family has produced many proficient and successful material, mechanical, and chemical engineers.

Size of ships from smallest to largest. Cribbing some from House and Dominion.

Corvette
Frigate
Light Cruiser
Escort Carrier
Medium Cruiser
Battlecruiser
Carrier
Heavy Cruiser
Battleship
Heavy Carrier
Mega
Super Heavy
>>
>>43477698
But this is wrong. The largest ship class is carrier, followed by the cruisers, then battleships, etc.
>>
>>43477698
>>43478356

A better list (smallest to largest) would look something like:

Corvette
Frigate
Light Cruiser
Medium Cruiser
Battleship
Escort Carrier
Heavy Cruiser
Battlecruiser
Carrier
Heavy Carrier

I'm not sure why you just have "Mega" and "Super Heavy" though. Those don't make sense as names.
>>
>>43478356
Yes I know. I said I was cribbing some from That Slow Typing Guy.

>>43478557
They were in the list tstg made before and like I said I was cribbing some things off him as I did like how they worked. As to the Super Heavy and Mega, I'd go for more they are a direct consequence of people going okay but what if we built this bigger with more guns and shields and everything?
>>
>>43466787
I like the backstory. I really like the idea of the Mercantile Clan being a very powerfull organization with it's own fleet and planets. I think this makes them almost like a neutral faction since what I got the impression of they just want to protect thier own trade territory
>>
>>43478732
Make sure you use that list. The one that you (or I guess TSTG?) made is very, very incorrect.

You should also come up with a name for Super Heavy and Mega. A Super Heavy ship doesn't give you any indication of what it is, other than it is really big. Same goes for Mega. Try something like Super Heavy Warvessel and Mega Artillerybarge for example.
>>
Greetings, my business associates have been noticing a large transference and mobilization of supplies in various sectors. We would like to be part of this endeavor.

The Meridian trans-galactic shipping industry is offering to lend our two of our escort carriers and a whole fleet of our shipping and transfer vessels for a seat in the council.
>>
>>43467573
Hello Af Flod, How's the trade been going, We've heard great news about our feisty competitor and occasional partner.
I've come to see this as a chance given by fate or the intelligent designer to smooth out our turbulent past and work together for mutual prosperity.
>>
guyth? is anyone still here, I'm waiting for a rick-roaring time of finance, politics, and military disputes and fck ups.
>>
>>43485347
Greetings Mr.Penapoupadapoulous, I see the trade is going well for you indeed. But you are still to far off to compete with the Mercantile Clan. We are still waiting for your reply for the invitation we sent you that asked if you wanted to be a part of the Mercantile Clan.
Like many companies before you, like for instance; The Testla Engineering corp, or the Orion Trade district.

But we aren't forcing you. But whenever your corporation is in bad shape you know where to turn to.
>>
>>43485865
Thank you for the offer Viceroy, but such a decision isn't only mine to make. Since the Meridian Shipping Industry represents the outrimer. Also isn't it dull to have the entire terran trade ruled by one group. We, of the T-TCA would like to provide the Coalition some sort of excitement in the forms of deals, arnaments, and supplies provided for by the outrimer.

The Outrimer is the various sectors that teeters at the edges of terran space. During the hard economic strife of the last xeno invasion. Which I believe also damaged the mercantile clan's economical standing. The outrimer, facing neglect from the core worlds, were the first one to fall. The remnants of the standing enclaves and governments in the outrimer created a coalition called the Transgalactic Transport and Commerce Association (T-TCA) To ensure a speeding recovery of the our key worlds through inter-galactic trade and cooperation.
One of the major members of the T-TCA is our company Meridian Shipping industries. and we, having our roots proudly planted in the core world of mars. Would like to be the first to introduce to the coalition a new horizon for trade and prosperity.
>>
>>43485865
However Viceroy, I assure you, We will try our best to be a very cooperative power and you need not worry about too much competition, And that pleasing offer will be submitted directly to the caucus.
>>
>>43486274
I am always open for new trade opportunities with new partners and clients Mr.Penapoupadapoulous, and trust me, for your own good, do not want to break any deals with us. Just see what happend to the Kyzon merchant guild on Kazyn-V.
They broke a deal with us and took all of the profits for themselves, we had no choice but to deploy our fleet. It was unfortunate that we had to burn that trade hub, but we later "acquired" thier trade lanes and terrioroty.
But do not take this as a threat, just take it as a friendly warning. And just to remind you that we where well inside the local laws when we dealt with the Kyzon Merchant guild.

But please, what do you have to offer, I am very interested to see your inventory.
>>
>>43486485
Certainly sir, the reason as to why I came here is to present an opportunity! a new and exciting market and partner. Not to bring back a flotilla of core world ships hell bent on destroying our ports.

In regards to trade, I would love exchange the services of a fleet of our transport and shipping vessels and two of our modified heavy escorts carriers for a seat in the council, I would like to negotiate from there on. But only If the Lords would be so generous to an outlander like myself.
