You are Marie and Watt. Created by your father, The Inventor, in his lab, you were his greatest work. Automatons achieved sentience via the use of a magic based power source! Unfortunately someone was not to kin in his work and his lab was attacked. He would't tell you who the attackers were, and he told you to run. Run as far away as you can. You escaped with a number of worker drones, but soon after you left, the lab exploded. Your father was dead.

>Marie's Journal Entry 625491
We have been on the run for nearly 3 months now. Power is not a problem for me and Watt but our drones need to be charged by us, and that takes time. We need to settle down somewhere. I managed to find this large cave by the side of the mountain, and we are resting here now. By the looks of it this used to be a dragon's cave, tough its owner looks long dead. I proposed that we set up our home here, sense we can use the cave to carve out a tunnel system in the mountains. He agreed. On our way here we saw some dwarven settlements, which means they must have city near by. Maybe we should visit them? We don't have many materials left and we need to set up a defense at the cave's entrance. I hope this goes well...

Watt modifies 2 of the drones with stone pickaxes so they dig into the mountain.
>-10 resources.

Three drones are sent around the mountain to collect loose stones and other materials. They only manage, however, to find a few loose stones and not much alse.

You sent the miners to dig a small shaft down into the earth. They manage to find a medium vein of copper and a small vein of iron.
>You can now mine for copper (6 times) and iron (2 times).
You sent some drones out on a collecting mission again. This time they return with a much bigger bounty.

Marie, along with a small team of drones descents down into the forest south of the mountain. The tree there are varied but they would likely produce some good quality lumber. However there appears to be something within the forest, watching Marie and her scouts. They leave before that something engages them.
>You can now explore the forest.
The rest of the day was spent recharging the drones.

You sent the miner drones into the mining shaft to mine the iron ore you found earlier. They bring out server pieces of raw hematite, but it requires a smelter to be made into bars and a forge to be made into tools.

The drones spent hours setting up a small stone wall around the cave's mouth. While lacking a gate, the drones will stand guard and alert for any possible threads.
>You now have a small stone wall.

You sent the miners to dig a new room inside the cave. Several benches and tables are carved out of the rock, and a small stockpile is made next to it.
>You now have a crafting room.
>You now can make new drones!

I'm leaving now, Gm. I think this game has some potential, especially if you fluff out Marie and Watt more later on.

The miners dig into the mining shaft and return with a load of freshly quarried stone.
>+5 resources

You order the miners to dig out a new room and order the workers to build a basic smelter out of the stones. While not much it will serve fine, tough it does need fuel. Some wood from the forest should do the trick.

Marie, along with a drone, move along the mountainside looking for the entrance to the dwarven city. Its not hard to find. The large stone gates and the watchtowers carved in the stone make quite the sight! The guards on the towers seem to notice Marie and her drone but don't appear to do something about it. You're not sure if you're welcome there but hey, worth a shot right?
