Actually, there's an idea here. The Imperium should worship gravity. It's always present and it's demonstrably powerful. If they turn the entire Ecclesiarchy to it they could create a new God, one based on an actual law and not some stupid emotion or abstract concept. Then Gravititat can drop the other gods and rule over the galaxy, content that things are going down as they should for all time.

From a technical point of view, it cannot be destroyed via traditional means...not to mention that Tzeentch makes all the plans to double cross and all Chaos Gods are fighting each other as much if not more than the material realm.
The only way would be putting the Chaos Gods into cages made out of the densest and most durable materials known to Elder Gods and then throw them into the equivalent of a cellar.
Because if Chaos got killed, then ALL that's living would be brain dead. LITERALLY.

I would love to see an all out struggle between chaos and nids. Nids can be swayed, but infected nids get eradicated by the hivemind. But what if chaos dedicates all resources to the nids? Just imagine a creep of insanity sweeping through billions and billions of nids.
