Can any swedefags tell us about this game, how it plays, what the world is like?

The game system is pretty light but it have many abilities with least 3 tier level. The GM don't need to roll the dices because player make both rolls for attacks and defenses.

The setting itself take place in new kingdom after the war with black mages. The old kingdom beome corrupted with evil magic and the earth become unusable for farming.

You can play as one of the four races, human, changeling (elf that raised up in human society), ogre and goblin. You can choose one of the three classes, warrior, mage and thief.

Magic should handle with care because you can become corrupted and worst case you will transform into horrifying monster.

Wait, aren't ogres and goblins already horrifying monsters? What is the disincentive if you're already playing one of those?

Is it in Swedish?

Oh, it's by the same guys who did Mutant Underground Aardvarks. Noise.

When you transform, you will pretty much end up as very killy Chaos Spawn. Ogres and goblins is nothing compare to the abomination.

Symbaroum is earlier high-standing civilization that lies buried beneath the old forest, Davokar. The exiles from the old kingdom settled near the edge of this forest in a walled city, and PCs are assumed to travel into the forest in search of ancient artifacts and treasure.

Elves are not happy about murderhob-er, adventurers travelling into the forest, and the forest is not the friend of the settlers.

The elves are basically the antagonist species of this setting, taking the place that orcs usually occupy. Hence you don't play a "proper" elf, as they are as likely to kill you as look at you.

Nah, they aren't too bad in Symbaroum. Ogres are big, strong and a bit slow (not stupid, though). They wake up in the forest fully grown, with no memory or identity.

Goblins are pretty savage, but hard working. Some are newly civilized in the setting.

ANYBODY using magic can be corrupted into a horrifying monster. Some of the magic users have figured out rituals that will reduce the corruption or burn it away (literally), but it is a genuinely scary system. It's one of my favourite things about Symbaroum.

Is it like chaos taint in the Warhammer games or something different?

Its system is derived from a long history of Basic Roleplaying. It has its merits and some issues. The players rolls all the dice while the GM uses fixed numbers (but you can easily roll dice as well if you like as a GM).

Setting is dark fallen society ruins hiding in corrupted forest adventure time, well suited for BRP inspired product.

Very much so. It's very much the same tone as WHFRP. The land is ravaged, dark, mysterious and corrupt. It just don't have the renaissance flair or the mechanical bitz.

So what makes this setting different/better, or what kind of adventuring/genre does it do really well?
