It's logical for Conor to train with every single second he can spare because if he doesn't do exactly that, he will lose again.
He learned how bad his cardio was and doesn't have long to correct it. He experienced (but probably already knew) how badly mismatched he was on the ground and needs to ensure that does not happen again.
A normal person wouldn't have enough time to pull it off, but with Conor's dedication, he can do it if he's left to train. He does more promoting than any other fighter in the UFC, he's entirely right about all of that.

You know what, Conor actually illustrates a very important point for fighters that nobody else is willing to even talk about.
The UFC has a fucking stranglehold on fighter freedom, and they employ the fighter (an independent contractor) to fight, but then they also allow themselves to force that contractor to do as much or as little promotion for the company as they please.
It really isn't fair that fighters aren't compensated for additional promotion, especially with a brand like Conor's that he has built up and likely feels is worth quite a lot of money. His time is valuable in regards to promotional events, and he does have a fair point.
