Get a step box, that works you pretty good and gives you nice legs. Jump rope is cheap, burns shit loads of fat and makes your legs look good, also try lateral movement drills in your backyard to help your jukes/footwork. If your city offers a fighting club like boxing or mma that's a really good way to up your cardio and meet chill bros.
You're right about running, it's boring as shit and doesn't seem to help much with the quick reflex movements needed in basketball that gas you instantly.

I go with a group of friends and we run a circuit 3 times. You could probably find it online, but it's like you run each workout for 1 minute w/ 45 seconds rest between each workout then a 3 minute rest between each set.

Repeat that 3 sets changing the time/reps as needed and you should feel a good increase in cardio after a month if you're consistent.

we all start somewhere, planks for a little more than a minute isn't that bad. if you're trying to increase time I increased mine to almost 4 min (not crazy by any means just giving a basis for comparison) with a plate on my upper back until failure for a couple of months. I'm mediocre at planks right now since I haven't done them in a while
