Peps just confirmed he's going premier league. Where is going /sp/?

"Guardiola was speaking at his first press conference since announcing he will leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.

He said: "I haven't decided on a new club yet. I want to experience a new city and I want to work in England. That is the reason I have taken this decision. "

>I want to experience a new city

Chelsea it is.

Chelsea and mourinho have cucked him multiple times over the years, he even said the 2-2 at the camp nou had a huge effect on him psychologically and chelsea is mourinho personified as a club.

Taking over the team and molding them into a disgusting possession based meme team that gets blown out in important games like CL semifinals would be his ultimate revenge

You know what I was initially sad about this but I think it's good for Pep. He gets reunited with friends at City and gets complete control of a squad which will be good for football. I was initially sad because I thought it made us invincible but Pep has been beaten and we can do it again. Honestly he's a great guy and he cares a lot. I really wished he was ours for good just because of that but he always be a very special person in Bayern history and he's done wonderful these past years. Would be incredible to go out with a bang and win the champions league but even if we don't who cares, it's been a great journey. All the best Pep!

if he has any balls, Man Utd

what's the point of going to Chelsea or City? so he wins the EPL with plastic clubs with infinite monies. He will get no respect for doing it as it's actually happening, and in 30 years time he'll be able to say "I managed Manchester City" and people will say "never heard of them".

To bring Man Utd back to greatness, and create a dynasty with a real club, that's what will get him respect.
>>

Hasn't he said previously that he likes Man Utd as a club and would like to work there one day? Seems to me that he's dropping a hint to the board so they can get rid of van Gaal at the end of the year and appoint him instead.

As a United fan I don't know how I'd feel about that. Don't really like the style of football he plays, but we've been trophyless for a while now and it's got to be said that he gets results (albeit at the 2 easiest jobs of all time).

confirmed for having only watched the match against barca
Heynckes' Bayern played possession football in every single game of that treble winning season other than 1 game vs Arsenal and the Barcelona tie
the only teams they could truly dominate were Conte's Juventus in their first CL season and Barcelona who were in utter shambles at that point. They finished level on points with Valencia in the group stage (losing to BATE in the process), were 1 goal away from going out against fucking Arsenal, beat Dortmund on a last minute winner, beat Dortmund in the cup final with some major refball and couldn't beat Dortmund in the league

Heynckes' bayern was good. But that's it. Bayern had a lot of luck in 12-13. Look at their calendar. Many games were won like 2-1.

But can he re-develop an entire youth academy, scout out 4-5 world class players at the age of 18-22 and then go on to win multiple league titles and champions leagues whilst spending less than 3 of his domestic rivals over a period of 20 years?

Both of his CL wins were pure luck too, 2 late goals in 99 and Terry slipping in 08

Lol.
Wouldn't you say Chelsea were more lucky to hold onto a 1-1 when they were being absolutely battered and killed during the 90 minutes? Cech made 5-6 incredible saves, Tevez hit the post and the bar. Rooney hit the post. The ball was in Chelsea's third for 70% of the match. Drogba got a red card for slapping a player and Terry should have got a red card for spitting on Tevez.

If anything, Chelsea were lucky to take it to penalties. It made them look better than they were. It made them look like they were close rivals to Man United when the reality (and it's reflected in the league) was they were not close at all.

Also you want to talk about bad luck?

pic-related

Ferguson's average season spend was around 26 million pounds, significantly less than Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Spurs in the period 1986-2012.

If you count NET spend, then it's significantly less than that.

Hope this helps with your 'math' Amerifat.

Man city have already spent a billion and come back with a better list of stars than ferguson

Sterling, De Bruyne, Aguero, Boateng, Kompany were all bought in that age range in about 20 less years than ferguson had and they are all now among the best at their respective positions

They've also revamped their academy to the point that it's widely regarded as the best in England

>I didn't realise that late goals count as luck now. When did this happen?

I remember ABUs talking about how lucky United were to score so many late goals. It's hilarious they can't even see how poor their own logic is.

If they keep doing it, consistently, again and again then how is it luck?

Last time I checked, a football match lasts 90 minutes + stoppage times. Maybe other teams should focus and put in more effort right until the end if they don't like conceding late on?
>>
>>64703760

I don't get it.

Maybe you have a short memory, but Fletcher was genuinely a world class midfielder and absolutely destroyed the likes of Bayern Munich, Inter and AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. regularly.

He was arguably more important to Man United in that 2009 final than Rooney or Ronaldo were. It was a massive, massive loss. The game was lost in midfield as expected.

>"I thought before the game it may have been a problem," the United manager admitted. "I knew it might count against us because he [Fletcher] is a big-game player. And he was a big loss for us. It's difficult to say how big, and they [Barcelona] had players missing too, but it showed itself for us tonight."

aren't you guys meant to be clued up on this sort of thing, what with your fancy business schools and such?

let me explain it in simple terms

if the arabs pull out tomorrow, city will, within maybe 2-3 years be unable to pay any player more than 100k a week

as some players have contracts that are longer than 2-3 years, the club will be thrown into debt very quickly and they'll have to sell off their assets (players)

they'd be finished overnight

hope this helps

Yeah m8 you're a fucking busniess genius, the arabs are going to pull out after investing billions and finally getting the club into a profitable position where its valued as a top 5 club in the world. Makes perfect business sense, invest in an asset and then toss it away for nothing once it finally makes you money. And of course you think whoever took over the team would of course be some poor manchester mug who can't afford any players instead of some rich russian or other arab that could still throw loads of money at the club
>>
>>64704235

>>
>>64704167
Bit harsh.

Unless you're well off (at least £80k-£100k a year salary) London isn't a great place to live.

Way too busy.
Way too expensive and no value. You pay so much more but don't get more for your money.

If you work in London the chances are you work in the city centre. If you live in London, the chances are you can't afford to live in the city centre. (Property costs at least £1-2 million) Therefore you have a 2 hour daily commute.

That's 20 days per year you spend traveling back and forward to work.

20 sets of 24 hours.... Let that sink in. Imagine spending 20 days every year sat on a stinking tube or train.

Meanwhile, for the same money you could buy a 4 bedroom penthouse in Manchester overlooking the canals.

>Thinking a guy who lived in barcelona all his life wants to live in a boring suburban shithole

>>64704259
It's not a question if the Arabs pull out or not, the point is that City as a club, as a self-sufficient entity (ignoring their owners wealth) are a shit-tier joke of a club and are no bigger or wealthy/powerful than the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Wigan or Stoke.

Get over it.

City are a small, poor club with rich owners.
United are a rich, superpower club with VERY poor owners.

United without their owners = Even bigger and richer
City without their owners = Absolutely nothing

City has money, good players and friends of his.

I didn't say it was a total shithole m8. I quite like many aspects of it.

It's just grossly overrated. It's a very awkward place to get around and there is no value. You get ripped off everywhere you go.

I currently live in a one bed apartment. I rent because there is no way I can afford to buy. I'd need to save for 10-15 years to afford the deposit and by that time I might have a family and I'd need 2 or 3 bedrooms. Ridiculous.

For the rent I pay in London (4 years worth) I could have paid for a deposit and 2 years mortgage payments on a small mansion anywhere else in the country (barring the areas around London, Edinburgh and Aberdeen).

It's absolutely sickening when you think about it. I've killed myself for 4 years, working every day for what? I have nothing to show for it.

While that makes sense, because obviously people are betting on something for a reason (they think it's likely) and therefore it is more likely to be likely than an outcome that is not deemed likely, it is definitely NOT a sign that it will happen. I've seen betting suspended on many a thing in my time.

Last summer for example, Bale to United was suspended among talk of a fallout with his fellow players.

It happens regularly after a big 'news' story. It's just because the betting companies can't handle all the new bets they're getting and can't work out what odds to give in time. They need to sit and calculate it properly so they can balance the books and make profits.
