It's worth getting on Sydney Thunder over Sydney Sixers @ 2.30, the bookies have got this one all wrong.
I'll do a quick write-up for this one
The reason the bookies have the 6ers as favourites is because of the history between the teams (the 6ers have won just about every-time). But this really matters little because the BBL is only played for 1 month a year and the Thunder have strengthened massively in the last year and the 6ers are weaker. Man for man the Thunder are quite a bit stronger.
The Thunder have signed Shane Watson and Andre Russell who are arguably the two best allrounders in t20 cricket. They've also signed McKay and Fawad who have both capped for Australia and are among the better domestic bowlers. They also have Patterson available this year after he missed last year to injury which will boost their batting depth. Meanwhile the 6ers have lost Brett Lee (retired) who was their best bowlers and they aren't getting any of their good internationals (Smith, Starc). Their batting looks extremely poor on paper this year and their overseas players are probably the worst in the comp.
That said, it is by no means a dead cert because of the nature of t20 so dont bet more than you can afford to lose. If the Thunder bat first I'll be staking more on it because the 6ers dont have the batting to chase. That said, if the 6ers bat first I'll only have a small amount on because the 6ers have good bowlers who can defend a modest total.

Michigan State did outgun Baylor last season, but that was after getting outplayed for the first 3 quarters.
