Pochettino did not improve on Adkins at all. He managed to get similar results despite having more money and manoueveribility in the transfer market. It was Koeman taking over that made the huge difference. He overhauled the attack with Pelle, Tadic, Mane etc. Their improvement ever since is once they got rid of the replacement for Adkins. If Pochettino hadn't been taken away solely because he got some big results amongst the crock of shit that was losing to relegation tier teams and getting 6-1'd by Arsenal, they probably wouldn't be even close to where they are today.
No they didn't think we were going to die without Brenda, people though Laudrup was the best we could get without him. We didn't 'excel', we finish two spots higher. Monk gave us our best finish ever by ditching the mindless possession Brenny had put on the club, and attempting to fix the issues with Laudrups poor offence without a target man as we played 4-6-0 most of the time with Michu up top as a shadow striker.
Nobody thought we were going to flop after Laudrup because Laudrup was burying the club with atrocious form and losing the dressing room. Anybody would have been an improvement over him at that point. He forced players out of the club, caused fights in the dressing room. His tactical approach was fine but anybody who knows the club (which I get the impression you don't) knew that we were better off without him. People only complained because he had tactical success, not looking at anything other than that.
tl;dr I have every right to complain about the sacking. It's not going to reap short term benefits unless they give us insane money to spend in the Christmas transfer window and get some new faces amongst the morale-stricken shitters, which Monk already planned to do.

Yeah thats about the rule I go by. No good loaning out for first team football if the facilities are atrocious but also not worth loaning out to someone else with the same level of facilities where he won't play regularly. You either loan to someone with better facilities regardless of playing time (and even then you don't guide his development so you could be forgiven for not agreeing with that) or you loan out to someone with a similar or slightly lesser quality of facilities if they're going to be guaranteed more playing time than you can give them.
