>>
>>64063794
> pretty much worthless without him at this point
It wasn't worthless throughout 2011 and 2012 with him on a shitbox Ducati, it wasn't in 2013 when Marquez came and had his battle with Lorenzo, and it wasn't worthless in 2014 when he wiped the floor with everyone else on weekly basis.
Attendance was still high, some races were still sold out, on-track action was still thrilling. It's only been since Qatar this year (maybe late 2014) when the rosstards came back.

> Even with his flaws, at least he's not morally corrupt like Lorenzo or Marquez
Lol, the fact that people need to invent a new villain for Rossi every other year just to be able to look at the sport from his perspective again is the best case for him not being as perfect as you try to picture.
And if you think his actions since pre-Sepang were caused by him genuinely feeling wronged by the Spanish-Jewish-communist-mason consipracy, then maybe he's not morally corrupt, but only plainly retarded.

Currently, Rossi-vs-the-world is the only narrative that fanbase knows, but that hasn't been the case at least since 2010. If these people had any kind of power over the sport, you'd have FormulaE twitter polls, only instead of #FanBoost they'd deliver #FanHighsides.
It's not the only approach to the sport and no, it's not crazy to blame the fanbase for thinking it is.

If you are somewhat familiar with a black person you can call them 'negro' (black) as a nickname

When you are not familiar with English and you hear nigger it's pretty normal to think it has the same usage, because it sounds similar and whatnot

>>64066348
literally suarez amirite
>>
>>64066384
So in Spanish it's not racist for a white person to call a black person "negro"?
>>
>>64066384
That's how "nigger" started too. It came as a mispronouncing of the word negro and simply meant black person, but it quickly became used as a derogatory word.
>>
>>64066420
depends on context really

like, if you say 'these [negros] always begging for money get a job' then it's pretty racist

however for example where I live the darkest skinned person on a given group will always be 'el negro' (literally "the black" or "the nigger" as our friend roberto illustrated here) and calling him that won't be racist. You don't even have to be black to be know as 'el negro', just dark skinned (though that's because not a lot of actual black people here)

I really wish that BMW's 09 car was much higher up the grid. If they had more resources or spent more time on the 08 car, it really could have been a title challenger.

I've never been a huge fan of the 2006-08 cars. I appreciate them for being amazing pieces of engineering, but I would take almost any other generation of F1 cars over them when it comes to aesthetics. The simpler the better for me

>That front wing
It's like they hate overtaking. What was wrong with bringing back ground effect?

>>

>"Pinnacle of motorsport"
>lol stop going so fast
>>
>>64076943
Not because its too fast, because its too dangerous. The purposed 2017 regs make the cars faster and have more floor effects than current cars 2bh >>64067490 (see 6)

Thing is you cant have cars that depend too much on this effect. People were always ok with until this year, I don't know what happened that everyone suddenly started wanting it back.
>>
>>64077073
People want it back because they've realised that these complicated front wings result in less overtaking. Groud effect can be very dangerous but it at least creates less dirty air behind the cars.

1. Rosberg (pretty easy WDC, as HAM will get reckless and fucks up too much)
2. Vettel (Ferrari gets much closer, but still not enough)
3. Hamilton (pisses off Merc for ignoring strategy, team orders, etc., leaves/fired and goes back to the much improved McLaren or, though very doubtful, replaces a retiring Kimi at Ferrari)
4. Raikkonen (steals a win or two, some podiums at least, retires)
5. Perez (Force India/Aston Martin improve even more, Perez hype begins)
6. Bottas (hits skill ceiling, but more so hindered by the car toward the end of the season)
7. Massa (retires, miracle podium at Interlagos ;_;7)
8. Hulkenberg (RIP Hulk meme, leaves and becomes GOAT WEC champ)
9. Alonso (reminds everyone why many still consider him great with in a much better but still clearly inferior car, at least one podium)
10. Ricciardo (lol Renault engine)
11. Kyvat (on par with Ricciardo, but gone for Verstappen for 2017)
12. Button (inconsistent and unlucky but with flashes of brilliance, retires, small scandal as sex tape of him and Jessica is released after the season)
13. Sainz (it's close, but outdoes Mad Max in quali and race yet remains in his shadow)
14. Verstappen (inconsistent, but even more memorable overtakes, and crashes, one third place finish)
15. Grosjean (decent first year for Haas, team shows promise)
16. Nasr (single-handedly saves Sauber the embarrassment of finishing behind Manor)
17. Maldonado (only 7 DNFs, Huzzah!)
18. Palmer (one and done, gone for 2017)
19. Manor #1 (my guess: Werhlein, Vandoorne is a longshot, but whoever it is scores points for Manor in two, maybe even a third, race)
20. Gutierrez (ugh)
21. Ericsson (somehow even more unremarkable)

That simply won't happen, there is no incentive for major companies to advertise on race cars anymore. What you see on the cars now are mainly corporate partnerships related to the manufacturer or entrant. Unrelated companies get better value by using Google analytics than random sppnsorships.

>Mercedes Sues F-1 Engineer for Data Theft Before Move to Ferrari

>Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, which makes engines for the Mercedes Petronas team, is suing Benjamin Hoyle, according to an Oct. 19 filing released Monday.
>Hoyle, who intends to join Ferrari after his contract expires in December, searched for and saved files including a race report from the Hungary 2015 Grand Prix, mileage and damage data relating to Mercedes’ F1 engines and files containing code required to decrypt raw race data files, the suit alleges.
>Hoyle’s "actions were calculated to destroy or seriously damage the relationship of trust" he has with Mercedes, the company said in the filing. "Mr. Hoyle and potentially Ferrari have gained an unlawful advantage."

Werhlein Rossi is the ideal Manor pairing, and my guess for who will fill the seats.

There is no one else with the talent or credentials of either of these two that will have enough funding to take the seat:

-King and Haryanto were clearly beaten by Rossi in GP2 this season (though they have the cash).
-McLaren doesn't have money to waste on Vandoorne and would be complicated with Mercedes and Werhlein.
-That meme girl's name thrown around doesn't have a super license
-Kmag will move to sports cars and has no money

Who are the other options? Surely Manor will pursue drivers of talent in hopes they can wrestle the car a few places higher than it should be given they'll have a competitive PU.

Rossi is a seriously unimpressive driver, too. He's been in open wheelers since fucking 2007, been in GP2 cars since 2009, FR3.5 since 2010 and hasn't won a fucking title since 2008. hHis three GP2 wins this year were due to having more experience than 4/5 of the field, not because he's a good driver. He should've absolutely annihilated Vandoorne.

>Second place in GP2 in only his second full season, with 4 wins in the series
Again, he's been driving GP2 cars since 2009, on and off admittedly, but that's over 60 fucking races in GP2 - far more than enough experience to warrant winning a championship.
>Outpaced Stevens who had been in the car all year
Yes, Lord Will "the Lad" Stevens, the second fastest driver on earth. Obviously this must mean that Rossi is epic quickz and deserving of a full-time race seat.
>Brought in a ton of sponsorships to Manor
He brought Alaska Coffee Roasting Co and Coupons.com. Less than 2mil in sponsorship. There are better drivers who bring more money. Stevens brought over 5 times what Rossi brought.
>Be American
the Stoffelmeister is Belgian and therefore has more freedoms
>>
>>64086851
I don't disagree with any of those points.

However, given the situation he was put in, Rossi has done the maximum he could this season to ensure he retains his seat.

I was only partially joking about the being American thing. His nationality has definitely contributed I would say

vettel should be first. grosjean does not deserve to be that high. and no fucking way should maldonado be last. he was very close to grosjean in the races, and the points gap would be much closer if he scored points at spa.

yes, maldonado was poor in qualifying - but it's the race which counts. he was not worse than the manor drivers or ericsson.

Ok Then, here's my major gripes;

>Stevens and Mehri
I'm not claiming that Mehri was some racing god, nor do I think he would have had a long career in F1, but to put him behind Stevens is just wrong. Mehri creamed his team mate during the races and was equal on lap times DESPITE being far heavier.

>Foreskindia
I'll admit, I'm a Hulkenberg fan and his Le Mans win was great, but in terms of F1 he's seriously lagged behind Perez this year. Not just in terms of points, but I feel Perez has been the more exciting racer. He should get a little more credit than 0.01

>Muh Shamilton
I wouldn't have complained too much if he'd been top, but to be top by that margin is a bit unfair. Vettel should AT LEAST be close to him. As for everyone else, I don't see why they couldn't have been as good as him. Ok Rosberg became a beta for most of the year, but was he really the most fun to watch, or most tactically minded etc...

>Ericsson
Should be objectively last. Are you seriously telling me a guy whose teammate scored three times as many points as him deserves to be ahead of Massa and only 0.20 behind said teammate. On that note, Nasr should be higher, congrats to him.

OK Rant over
