I'm listening to a lot of Death Grips, but the novelty is fading away, so I might quit listening to them for some time so that I might enjoy them again. Besides that, it is the usual. I don't have a cool taste in music.
Writing is what I am doing. It's a novelette, the story should go along the lines of a delusional writer imagining himself as some editor that has found his trove of unpublished writings by accident, all of them being pretentious, delusional horseshit, and proceeding to write something of a summary of his own work as through the lens of the imagined editor. It winds up with the editor persona becoming delusional as well. More or less that's the outline. I'm still working on it, hopefully the outline should be done by the next weekend. Considering it's my first serious attempt at writing, it's absolutely shit. I'm taking a little break now, the midday sun is too hot and I can't focus on writing, so I'm reading. I'm bit glad I don't have that feel. I've had crushes and what not in my life, but never that feel. I don't know, unless it's a particular person, I can't really long for a companionship. It's not the same for everyone however, so here is a nice picture I saved a few months ago. My favourite picture for feels. Sometimes I think myself internally looking like this when the mood as is all time low.
I have succeeded in most areas at least once in life. Not total success, but I have felt something.
Now, there is one major area where the Gods above enjoy striking me down with bad luck. Every encounter with this aspect of life has had a major road block thrown in front of it. It doesn't matter what it is, something will get in the fucking way.
That aspect is love.
For me, it seems to be one of the hardest things to overcome. After 3 tries, which may not be many, I have never so much as gotten a date. It pains me inside, being 20 and not been on a date. It's embarrassing to me and nothing will change that.
I just wish, that one day, I will either grow the balls to ask someone out or some miracle will happen where the unknown love of my life will run into me by some chance. I'm losing patience and it is a cycle that keeps repeating with no end. no gf, find possible interest, something happens, back to no gf.

From the pictures you posted, there is this older one where you look like a literal neck beard. Not to sound offensive, you look much better when compared to then. I'd also say you got pretty solid facial features, besides your hair really stands out and I'm bit jelly. So whatever I say should be seen as a compliment. I think you can make it. I have written snippets of this and that before, but now I'm seriously getting into this. I spent five hours this morning, although I was mostly editing. Last night it was about he same amount of time. I will probably do another five hours before bedtime.
I don't really have a genre for prose. I read all sorts of things. I avoid the so called "genre fiction" because it's mostly masturbatory fantasy slapped together in bad writing for the sake of world building, which is basically literary autism.

I think it would be smart, if it doesnt serve a real purpose, to differenciate the styles of the hermit

In my reader.* I JUST. To be entirely honest, I hate the entire beginning section. It explains things very chaotically. I also dislike the fact that I mention the purpose of whatever writing twice. About calendars, they will have to stay. It doesn't matter, I plan on using that little erroneous mention as an important element later on. My ideas aren't exactly clear on this.
Yes, I actually scoured most of my sentences this morning as to make sure I kill my tendency for repeating for words. I'm using some online software to make sure the frequency of which I use certain words isn't too high.

Yes. You see, given my preliminary explanation, the writer and editor are the same persona. Now, the fact that he is completely isolated is true. So you can, at a certain point, arrive at the logical conclusion that the writer and editor are the only audience for his work, so not only is the editor and the author same persona, so is the reader. I'm not sure what I intend to achieve with this, I just think it would be interesting to hurl the reader, as in I or you, in a bit of confusion after realising that they were never spoken to all this time. It's an underdeveloped idea, so is my work, it's barely finished length wise or from editorial perspective, but I want to tackle those ideas. In a way it becomes a very uncanny thing, I think, to realise that this amalgamation of author, editor and audience is speaking to itself from these warped viewpoints. The only persona, the audience, remains unvoiced. But it is present there, although in a subtler way.
