How old is too old to start lifting weights?
Teenagers do it to impress girls and its usually just a phase.
After visiting /fit/ for a while it feels like everybody there is an edgy teenager aged 15-22.
Once you grow up and start to have responsibilities, having phases like this just seems silly and people laugh at you secretly.
You're never too old to start unless you find yourself a frail old man.. and I sincerely doubt there's anyone laughing at you for attempting to improve yourself. Keep lifting.
and have a smug eggman while you're at it

If it's really important to you, it isn't a phase. I wish I had the will to exercise regularly, but I don't. I do however have the will to eat extremely healthily and that seems to do well in helping me remain in surprisingly good shape for being a do-nothing lowlife.

who /smallbones/ here?
can only bench press 50 kg(110 lb), mabe a little more but with less reps.
I never saw someone with the same bones size as me lifting more. so it's not a meme.
There was a 70 year old women who started lifting and was a competitive bodybuilder in 5 years

>bone size
I don't think that's how it works anon. You're just not eating enough protein.
Just lift to build self confidence and make yourself a stronger person, not to walk around like you're carrying invisible watermelons and mean-mug people in parking lots.

your bones will thicken to deal with the stress your body mass puts on them

but Muscle Built on bones(I am talking in simplified way because I don't know exactly)
so people with small body are more limited.
for example:
>guy 1 with small bones develop 60% of his capacity, he now can lift 30kg
>guy 2 with big bones develop 60% of his capacity, he can now lift 45 kg

there is a limit for how thick it's can get.

OP on a scale from 1 to butt devastated, how much does being fat affect your life

My bones are pretty small, the most I have ever attempted was 100lb, but that is getting to be too little for me so I guess I will be able to lift more

>tfw you used to be able to leg press 450 lbs
>tfw no you cannot even lift a ten pound barbell because of an injury you suffered three years ago
I look like a child.

I know exactly how you feel, my wrist are only slightly bigger than 5 inches in circumference.
It took me 3 years of lifting to bech 80kg, while a guy I knew from high school was benching 115kg within a year and a half.
Guess what, his wrists are fucking massive. And I'm not even short, I'm 6'1 and I have fucking 5 inch wrists.
