I'm fairly concerned about the EU referendum. I'm not sure how to vote, for a start I don't even know what the economic impact might be...
>>
>>29385296
Let me try to help you. You see, the EU and the UK are intrinsically tied, beyond simply being just an economic union. In fact around 3.5 million British jobs are directly linked to British membership of the European Union's single market, that's about 10% of jobs!
Then you have to consider that around 50% of our exports are bought by the EU and that 75% of our exporters operate in the EU. The EU is also able to negotiate great trade deals with countries outside the EU, with clout that the UK doesn't and won't have.
Leaving would mean an end to trade with the EU which would be disastrous. This alone should be enough to convince you to remain in the EU.
>>
>>29385296
If you vote Remain then nothing changes.

Surely that's better than voting Leave and hoping we don't get monumentally fucked over by recession and crime
>>
>>29385095
If it comes out that this was an EU plot there will be riots in the street

>remain wins
>the EU takes more powers from Westminster
>the EU army is built
>the British army withers on the vine
>the EU becomes an undemocatic superstate
>the British public demand another referendum, the reeducation campaigns having no effect
>the eastern European EU army soldiers are sent in to suppress the riots
>Europe faces a never before seen wave of English terrorism inspired by the IRA
>britain rises from the ashes, more imperialist than ever
>nige takes the helm
>the 2016 battle of the Thames was just the beginning
>>
>>29385321
Worry not about the environment; the EU has a set of commonly agreed standards that help to maintain the quality of air, rivers and beaches. It also helps to keep CO2 emissions down and more efficient vehicles (this helps your fuel economy too!).
As for migration, this is one of the greatest benefits of the EU. You are free to live and work anywhere within the EU, in fact 1.4 million British people already do. Not to mention that your UK driving license is also valid - just remember to drive on the right side of the road.
If Britain does vote to leave then unfortunately your friend will lose her right to live in the UK and will, unfortunately, have to return.
>>
>>29385337
Wow, it sounds as though the EU does a lot for us. There's no possible way we could achieve this on our own, I think I've made up my mind on the referendum now, especially considering Freja's situation - thanks!
>>
>>29385346
Don't mention it. Remember that we've been in the EU for over 30 years and that we simply couldn't survive outside it, we'd end up like isolationist Japan if we left. Not only that, but the leave campaign is headed by racists, bigots and supported by actual terrorists.

You're not voting for the status quo by remaining, you're voting for permenant loss of sovereignty, possibly joining the Euro, Turkey joining the EU, permanent mass immigration, and worse than anything else it is turning your back upon centuries of British culture, tradition and history. It's a disturbing time when roughly half the electorate insist we are "European" instead of "British/English/Welsh/Scottish/etc", this is not just about economics, it's about our national identity and what will become of it in the coming decades.

Not really understanding the logic here. We elect MEPs just as we elect MPs, and they earn much the same as MPs.
>>
>>29385494
That's a false equivalence. MEPs don't have the same power in the EU that MPs have in the UK.
They are completely different. MEPs can only vote on what the council, unelected, allows.
>>
>>29385494
The european commission is completely unelected and unaccountable. They push through legislation and MEPs have no power to stop it.
>>
>>29385494
I'm talking about the EU commission and the EU ministers, the ministers being in the hundreds who get paid out of our pocket.

Why do we elect MEPs to begin with? To maintain a facade that the EU is democratic. The EU Parliament is the only one in the world today where its members (MEPs) are not allowed to propose legislation, or to propose the repealing of leglisation. Leglisation is put forward by the European Commission, people we did not elect and cannot kick out.
>>
>people still believe Turkey will ever join the EU

They won't, they'll never meet the conditions. And if by some miracle they did, Britain hold a veto, so migration isn't an issue unless a majority of British citizens vote in favour, and democracy is what you're after, right?

Turkey literally blackmailed the EU earlier this year with the migrant crisis deal in exchange for three billion euros and more, they have been fast tracked for EU membership and are going to receive Visa-free travel in the interim.

A veto does not mean we hold a nationwide vote on this, it means our government passes a majority decision in a vote. Given that Labour, the SNP and a chunk of the tories all want this, what makes you think we'll "veto" it? This country has NEVER veto'd any EU resolution.

There is little to no support for Turkey to join the EU at this point, it's actually quite funny how much they've been mugged off considering not in 2010 everyone was welcoming them

Yes, before the EU no one traveled anywhere and no one ever worked abroad. We all lived on streets called Broomstick Grove, watched documentaries about the British Empire and how things were going in the Sudan on 8 inch black and white televisions and ate liquid beef. Girls wore tweed underwear and boys had to do thirty six years of national service in the Army or Navy, and when they left they'd have to do it again backward but in a coal mine.

The thing with brexit as a movement and campaign is that the supporters behind it are so divided politically that their arguments are not coherent and often contradictory. They are a bit of a (to quote Mathew Parris) 'rainbow alliance' where they're temporarily united under the aim of UK 'control' and that is where it ends. Beyond that their aims are so different and diluted it's almost impossible to convince a majority to vote out as it just seems confusing and incoherent.
>>
>>29385961
Then you wouldn't require a working visa, you would go on a holiday visa which were issued to you on entry and would be in the event of Brexit.
>>
>>29385941
New Labour was shit, agreed. They were literally just as bad as the Torys. But Corbyn actually appears to be a decent human being who cares about equality, etc. Hence Blair attacking him at every opportunity. Short of the miracle of the Greens getting power or something I think Corbyn is the most realistic opportunity for actual political change. Politics has been shit for ages now and I think most people would agree that something needs to happen.
>>
>>29385982
You can't stay in a country for very long on a holiday visa. Some countries offer 3 months, but that's the maximum.

Sometimes I like to stay in one place for six months and I'd like the option to stay for longer if I choose.
>>
>>29385993
>But Corbyn actually appears to be a decent human being who cares about equality, etc.

Most of those countries (with the possible exception of the Czech Republic) require that you register your existence there if you stay longer than two months, EU or no EU. You have to provide your passport, address and working agreements.

You'd know that if you had ever set foot in any of those places. In Austria it's called the Meldezettel. Germany have something very similar, as do France.
>>
>>29386039
Not an argument. Corbyn/Sanders types can only make things worse and have always made things worse historically. I don't see Corbyn or the Greens doing any but promising mass welfare(debt) and free everything, which is obviously unsustainable, it's what New Labour did and it's what got us where we are now.

I am aware of that mate. But how do you think they enforce it with no passport stamps? I've been dodging that for years with no consequences, because there's literally no way to enforce it.

>>29388446
Yeah it started when my mother, my siblings and I ran away from my father who was arrested for physical, sexual, domestic abuse and whatnot. My mum is an emotional wreck, and my brother and sister can't help but hate me because I'm the living reminder of my dad (different dad to them) who was such a horrible cunt to them, I was only a baby at the time and he didn't abuse me. My mum loves me but is sort of scared of me so I try 24/7 to be as nice as possible, my grandmother hates me purely because I'm the living proof of her daughter's poor life choices, having a bastard etcetera and the rest of my family are either actively disliking of my family or disinterested in me so I have nobody to get advice from, I'm going away to university this year and I'm so fucking scared my mum is going to do something stupid.

Sorry lads, bit of a vent,
>>
>>29388521

What if you spoke to them and told them to stop treating you based on your father?

>>29388521
That is shit lad. Sorry to hear you have such a tough family life.

Going away to university is a great opportunity to start living life in your own way. You'll meet loads of people there, and none of them will judge you for someone else's crimes like your family has.

>>

Autist named Louis posted this video on britfeel to show how his dad is a psycho, it spread to the rest of r9k and other boards. Some people took Louis' side, others took his dad's side, as far as I know poor Louis never showed up again because of the shitstorm that ensued.
>>
>>29388658

The dad is right in this situation and the mom is a bitch. He actually cares while the mom is enabling him.

>>
>>29388793

Fuck me, I didn't think stuff like that actually existed.

Both the Dad and the kid are wrong here assuming he actually is a shut in who never leaves his room expecting parents to enable him.

Assume the Dad is drunk?
>>
>>29388797
>mom

Like a lot of famililes they both care, they just have a very different way of approaching the situation. The mum cares too much about her little boy so she ends up enabling him, the dad takes the stricter approach and doesn't coddle him, but he also goes too far in telling him to kill himself and that he's a basket case. Then you have Louis who sits there in silence, crying at the end because he feels powerless.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96SrWO5Na54

NOW YOU SEE WHY I ACT LIKE A NARCISSIST
>>
Sad to listen to, not knowing the context beyond this video, both the mum and dad are understandable really. The dad's frustration and sadness is clear, he wants a better life for his kid, his mum wants his happiness. I'm inclined to think that the dad, while not handling it well is correct in that it's a slippery slope and people do stagnate. All depends on the extensiveness and age of Louis. From the dad's comments at the end it seems he's about 14-19 at most.
>>
>>29388979

Think it is his stepdad. If that is true, then he is seriously overstepping his mark in the video if it is real.

Listening to that make me realise I am much more of a normie than I thought.

25k m8.

Any stories of the best punt you have ever had? Like hearing this shit desu.
>>
>>29389610
I'm a bit older than most people here, I'm 52. For the past 20 years I've been going to a brass every 2 weeks without fail. It's the main thing that keeps me sane. I live in London so it's been no problem to go to a different one every time. New girls pop up every day, and I've had the pleasure of being a girl's first punter a few times.

>>29389627
I'm down a lot more than that. Now that I'm flush I usually pay for 2 hours, I'd estimate that on average that costs 250 these days. Used to be cheaper.

20 years ago you could get an hour for 50 quid. But it's been 100 quid minimum for a long time.
>>
>>29389659
5 quid a pop?
>>
>>29389679

Nah he said assuming it costs 50 per each one and he has had 500

500 X 50 = 25k not 5k kek.
>>
I went out for drinks with work colleagues last night, the bar had cocktails for 2 for 10 quid. Fine. We all bought our share, many drinks were had. Last drink of the night and the woman I sit opposite to at work, Alison, asked if I wanted a drink. Sure I'd love one, no problem. So we leave, and as we're walking to the taxi place, she says I owe her a fiver for the drink. I think she's joking and laugh it off. Today my boss texted me to say please can you bring in the 5 on Monday because Alison is pissed off. I guess technically I owe her the money but it seems petty to me. If the situation was reversed I'd never ask for the money back, and I earn less that she does! But whatever, it's properly fucked me off. I'm tempted just to stick a 50 note to her desk on Monday and tell her we're settled for life. Am I wrong to be so irritated by this?
>>
>>29389728
I misread it as 5000 escorts
>>
>>29389760
just give it to her in a bag of 20p coins or summat
>>
>>29389659
Best punt I ever had was with a little chinese girl, she must have been 18 or 19, no older. And, to be honest, she could have been younger.

Got her from a little brothel on Brewer Street run by a Chinese gang. It's not there anymore, this was 2001, and things have tightened up in Soho. Not many brothels there at all anymore.

Anyway, she was on her knees giving me a blowjob and I spunked in her mouth. Instinctively I grabbed her long chinky hair and wiped the end of my cock with it. She was so submissive that she let me wipe my cock clean with her hair. It's the first time I ever really felt powerful, like I was above another person. I loved it.

That's the feeling I chase when I visit a brass. Yes it's good to fuck every now and then, but it's the power and degradation that I love the most. Has to be the real thing too, no stupid BDSM games.
