Trump fucked up. I can't believe he picked (((Pence))). This is a disaster, no matter how you spin it.
>>
He lost ahahahaha.

trump cucks in FULL damage control mode
>>
>>81284210
Holy shit this fucking argentine faggot fall off a cliff already you cancerous loser in every god damn thread posting you tried bullshit
>>
>>81284026
Here we'll discuss strategy, and shills will show themselves being totally offtopic with defeat talk.
>>
>>81284282
No, he's fucking right. Delusional christfags ruin the GOP ticket once again.

Trump's strategy should be saying, it was just a prank and choosing Flynn.
>>
VPs have almost no control, just look at Biden. This will blow over soon.
>>
I knew the shills were gonna come here too to spread their shit all over the wall.

As for the topic at hand, Trump's strategy is to shore up as much Evangelical/Conservative support as he can, make the RNC a spectacle, but gets points across.

Trump could get the black vote, look at the swag, the confidence.
>>
I've been sure of his victory for at least a month. Clinton is incompetent garbage with none of Bills charisma. Trump was right, without the entire establishment behind her it wouldn't be fair
>>
>>81284026
Best way to help his campaign:
>record (((Pence))) saying something ridiculously controversial so trump will drop him
>plant drugs in (((pence's))) house and call the cops on him so trump will drop him
>record (((pence))) having sex with a man and leak it so trump will drop him
>record (((pence))) saying something negative about trump so trump will drop him

Basically, rid yourself of pence and Trump will do great.
>>
is trump....dare I say...finished?
>>
>>81284301
>defeat talk
No we are pissed that Trump chose a VP who opposed him on major issues on his campaign.
>>
>>81284439
Fuck off tripfag. Nobody liked pence before trump chose him, but somehow the people sticking to that original opinion are the shills?
>>
>>81284439
I figured they would also but it's slower, splits their effort, exposes them, and ultimately who cares we just don't feed them.
>shore up as much Evangelical/Conservative support as he can
Well using the "evangelical" term won't help, I can't see how that would appeal to bible believers. In fact as one, I'm voting for Trump despite his cringy pander. I don't honestly think he's read the bible.
>>
>>81284617
I agree I wanted Rand or Webb, or Flynn. But we must work with what we're given, and trust Trump has his reasons.
>>
>>81284617
Found a shill. /s

Seriously, can we get some actual discussion going instead of defeat talk? Trump has had a lot of controversies and moments that people try to spin into making everyone think he is done for, but he always recovers.
>>
I thought the plan was to pretend to pick pence to fuck the media then pick fly flynn, wtf happened to all the 4d chess memes wtf, someone turn this into 5d chess before i lose hope

The terrorism by #BLM #Deray4Treason and others causes fear. That fear needs somewhere to go, and Trump can provide that. Rather than a negative, Trump can offer a positive which is hope. >defeat talk
If you want a fucking echo chamber, head to Tumblr.

This is a very shit move from what I can see. Trump's major support came from people who were absolutely fed up with the establishment and what does he do to thank them for his support? He goes out and picks Establishment Suit #11261346 to run with him.

I fear that a lot of the people who would've voted for Trump will stay home on election day now. We won't know until the time comes, though, so there's still hope.
>>
>>81285038
that's right. hillarly don't need help like trump does. not picking a VP would be the best thing should could do to help her campaign. it would show how she can handle this on her own without the need of anyone's help. talk about a role model
>>
>>81285250
Do not focus on decisions already made that you don't agree with such as VP. Focus on how Trump's campaign strategy can be improved to add votes.
>>
>>81284026
he gained support of the rest of the GOP that was against him

my mom (take it with a grain of salt) said she really liked Trump's VP pick and now she's ready to vote for him in the upcoming election

I honestly think it's a good thing because Pence is going to be like a Biden and not do shit
>>
>>81285294
means she will bear the responsibility of her mistakes, not like trump who would seek to shift the blame on others. Hillary, what a great American hero.
>>
>>81285250
This is absolutely fucking false. Everybody who would have voted for Trump will continue to do so regardless of this Pence pick.

It's a calculated move to shore up the GOP and establish a good convention. Do I like the pick? No.

However, I do know that Trump has thought of the consequences. People can believe that he hasn't considered potential assassination scenarios. People can believe the GOP would ever try another Reagan scenario.

Pence is, 100%, a fucking ass licker. He's going to be the biggest lap dog cuck imaginable for Trump to prove his loyalty.
>>
>>81285522
I know for a fact that a small number of votes were lost today, but there's a lot of time left and I think they'll be reclaimed. Again though, that's not the point of this thread the decision was already made.
>>
>>81285338
>Focus on how Trump's campaign strategy can be improved to add votes.
Get a new VP or have him say something that's very strongly anti-establishment in order to distance himself from that group.

Trump's strongest support was literally coming from people who have been completely disenfranchised by being fucked both by the Democrats and the Republicans. They're not going to crawl out of their houses to vote for more of those people.
>>
Trump should steal Ron Pauls platform and rack in Libertarian and Indepedents.

Yes Estonia. Please, educate me on voters in the United States. People who are pouting and acting like children over this pick will SURELY vote for Clinton or Johnson!

Especially after it's clearly fucking obvious, yet again, that open borders are the biggest threat to western civilization. Pence is a faggot, we all know that. He's going to sit around like a useless cuck and do nothing but prop up Trump.

There's a reason he was picked over Gingrich. Newt is an opportunistic backstabber and always has been. The man can never be turned loyal.

CFG MEME is already working on exposing Hillary, she'll fall under the weight of her own criminal activity. She doesn't need to go to jail for that to happen, perception becomes reality.

My idea is we develop a memes of production for the Trump platform. #MAGA BTEB positive and constructive. So for example, I'd like to see what an iconic city could look like within Trump's trillion dollar infrastructure reinvestment framework. So for example, imagine meme pics of what NYC could look like with 100 billion of next gen infra tech pumped into it? Pics of utopias are always appealing, especially when on edge of collapse. We provide a safe refuge for people to step back from the cliff to.

Pence supported the Wolverine (Amtrak line between Chicago and Pontiac). Conveniently, two states (New York and California) have major rail projects underway (Gateway Tunnels, New Empire Station, and CA HSR) that they want federal money for. Trump and Pence should beat Hilary to the punch and _specifically_ say they will fund both projects with $50 billion each (through an oil tariff), even if it means fighting Congress.

It's not a swing issue, but being pro HSR will get some of Trump's biggest critics in NYC and LA to reconsider their view of him. The goal here is to get their minds open, and then sell them there.

Don't forget that, regardless of what he says, Trump is pro HSR because:

1. if Cuomo gets his new train station, and Amtrak their NEC overhaul, Trump benefits as a Manhattan property owner
2. CAHSR will build a new tunnel between Bakersfield and Burbank. Due to geography, this makes a fork to Vegas possible. Guess what next to Trump International Hotel? Train tracks. It's the ideal spot for a station

netting CA or NY (assuming such a thing is even possible) is easier if he promises funding BEFORE hilary does

How can I get campaign ideas to the campaign? I'm wasting my time here.
>>
>>81287531
Nah. That's firmly in the American School of Economics or what we called the "National System". It was our economic strategy from 1812~1979. It had five major platforms:

Protect industry
Invest in physical infrastructure
Provide a financial infrastructure
Provide education
Invest in the sciences

Lincoln made it official policy in 1860 but we'd followed it since Clay.
>>
>>81287531

>doing little socialist things like this to get the media on side (or at least to turn a few) might be the only way to win.

It's not specifically socialist when CAHSR and the NEC overhaul will happen anyway. But, Trump has a means to stake it as his own. 13,000,000 people ride the Acela and NEC regional yearly, over 5,000,000 Californians ride local Amtrak services (and a majority voted in favor of CAHSR). These people will be open to suggestion if Trump beats Hilary to the punch.

This VP choice was made for 2 reasons:

> Finally get the RNC invested

Trump needs the RNC's organizational support. Unlike conventional candidates who have a background and working relationships with other politicians, Trump doesn't have the ability to create a national campaign on his own. The RNC has agreed to fill out the national ground campaign if Trump agrees to raise money for them. Until now the RNC has been half-assing it.

With Pence as VP, the RNC now has an incentive to see Trump win. Pence is young enough to actually run for President later on, he'll be set up perfectly for 2020 if Trump loses or for 2024 if Trump wins. The RNC will now start fleshing out the battle ground state teams and get the ball rolling.

Hell, if they don't get along with Trump they can always run Pence as a primary challenger in 2020. Just have Pence pick a battle to make it seem like there are big enough ideological differences between the two and then spam the airwaves with "racist" things the sitting President of the United States has said.

> His family refused to support Christie

Arguably Christie is an even better VP choice for the RNC than Pence is (he's more talented, he's a northerner so he has deeper fundraising ability, deep establishment ties). Christie also gets along really well with Trump and Trump believes in him.
However.
Christie has a nasty history with Ivanka's husband's father. Christie prosecuted him and went over the top in slandering the family name. Ivanka refused to work for the campaign if Christie was named VP (same as she did when Manafort gave his ultimatum to leave).

Otherwise, Christie would be the next Vice President.

Define "failure", Amtrak provides intercity rail service so private companies don't have to. While most of the services are unreliable and slow, they function. Amtrak long term has been trying to push off as many lines as possible onto states, with mixed success. The NEC is it's own separate thing.

Pence is why the Hoosier State (Chicago-Indianapolis) continues to run. He also helped out with the aforementioned Wolverine, which now runs at about ~100 mph. Other states (in particular, Florida, Illinois and Pennsylvania) have already completed similar 125 mph modernization projects. Right now, the two "big ones" are CAHSR (SF-LA) and the NEC overhaul (which may include a Boston North-South rail tunnel).

Anyway, Pence has the record Californians and New Yorkers want. They like seeing pro-rail Republicans, and a lot of them are leery over Hilary since they're sane people and don't want another political dynasty.

Christie was the head of the Republican Governors association. He has deep deep ties to the RNC and fundraising for Republican candidates. Until the bridge scandal he was "the guy" to get to come campaign/fundraiser for you.

He should have ran in 2012. He was going to but couldn't get an organization in time (in his opinion, I think he would have been the Trump before Trump).

You mean Hamilton did, and fucked things up from the start.

Jefferson was against the ideas that would become the National system.

The National system caused the civil war (tariffs) and the great depression (central banking and money printing).
>>

What is the value of a nation? It's not only fixed assets like its land and minerals, or soft assets like its people and their ability, it's the productive capacity of the nation. The productive capacity of the US has turned to shit.

What would a banker rather loan money to a business or family for? Seeing dancing girls or retooling with more efficient equipment? Luxurious dinners or a new roof on the family home? If we could unproductively run up trillions in debt for a war, we can certainly run some up to reinvest into our productive capacity. Federal Reserve is instructed by Treasury to issue 1 trillion in next gen infrastructure projects to municipalities around the US. They submit plans, internet votes for best ideas, money is doled out and results studied. Winners are replicated with standard templates, losers build our knowledge and are part of our gov 2.0 innovation.
>>
>>81289440

Christie knows everyone of importance in Congress.

Pence isn't going to writing bills and coming up with legislative strategy. That's what staff offices are for. If you think Pence is going to be doing anything other than introducing Trump to members of congress and influential lobbyists

> You don't know jack shit about what happens in Washington DC.

Christie would be just as effective as Pence in greasing the right wheels. Probably even more so, simply because Christie has more charisma and more fundraising power.

Every serves better at a job that's less important. The question wasn't "What job would Christie be best at". The question is "Who would be the best Vice President" and then you work your way down.

> Pence was in Congress. He knows how it works.

Oh Jesus fuck, Anon's who like to pretend they know politics are so fucking annoying. You have a high school understanding of Washington DC. Trump's Vice President isn't going to be explaining anything to Trump. What, you think Joe Biden was been holding Obama by the dick and leading him around for the past 8 years simply because he'd been in Congress longer?

Trump is going to have an ARMY of paid professional bureaucrats who
> never leave town
> never take vacation
> never fundraise
> never campaign
> never give speeches
> never give interviews

You know what those PROFESSIONAL BUREAUCRATS do? They sit in their offices and jack off over parliamentary procedure rules. They get together for 5 dollar buy in poker games and "network" with interns to try and find out what lobbyists are meeting with who. They write 30 page researched and cited papers arguing for public policies THEY DON'T EVEN AGREE WITH just so they can fully grasp both sides of an argument and find the talking points to attack.

So no. I don't think Pence is a better choice because he "knows how it works"... mostly because I doubt he considers himself an expert on Congress. He doesn't need to and he doesn't want to.

If he wanted to be an expert on Congress he wouldn't fucking run for it. He'd work in it.

> Biden was very well connected to the important behind-the-scenes people. Obama was a first term senator and had met most people but didn't have the friendly relationship that Biden had
> Biden had the same political brand as Hillary with none of the political drawbacks and he didn't run a racist campaign against Obama.

Just like the Pence selection, it was all about political branding and pandering... not legislative mechanics.

There is no secret formula that a politician can follow to fix things.

But based on economic data from the heritage foundation combined with data on the IQ and average skin color of countries, the three best predictors of a country's economic well being are

1) national IQ
2) skin color
3) low corporate and capital gains taxes.

Tariffs, which Trump supports, are somewhat negatively correlated with economic well being, but Trump is better than the rest on the top three. Hillary will brown the country, which will in turn lower the national IQ, and she will probably not touch, or perhaps slightly raise the corporate tax rate (Bernie would have skyrocketed it).

From the Article:
But in the places where support for him runs the strongest, the proportion of the white population that didn’t finish high school is relatively high. So is the proportion of working-age adults who neither have a job nor are looking for one. The third-strongest correlation among hundreds of variables tested: the preponderance of mobile homes.

In other words. All the lazy unemployed white niggers of the world are voting for Trump. How neat. I thought freeloaders voted liberal?

Pence has voted consistently against all the "establishment" nonsense as a congressman. Watch his interview with Hannity. I personally think its a good choice.

For those who don't understand how this shit works they spent weeks looking at numbers. Percentage of likely voters who are X, determining where the campaign had holes in it and filling them with various people in the cabinet. This VP is based on the fact that a large portion of susceptible voters are evangelicals and conservatives. The gays are not a significant voting bloc. Plus the guy is well spoken, and compliments Trump's personality well.

Pence opposes the Federal Reserves. He thinks we should have exactly as much government as a flat 10% tax rate can afford, wants to amend the constitution to force our currency to be backed by something, and he (I'm assuming) lands somewhere on the middle right of the traditional political compass. His views on unimportant social issues are dated, but I don't land on the wrong side of the fence with any of them, and Pence and Trump both seem wise enough to not step on that pitfall. Pence is well spoken, passionate, and critical of our government.

I think it's a solid choice, and it gives me hope that Trump knows what the real issues in this country are and is building an army to take down the Federal Reserve. He'll fucking need it, too.
