Seriously, why?
Personally I do it because of the memes, the banter, and the fact that it filters through news. If I want to know what normies think, all I have to do it turn on the TV.
I come here to procrastinate because I'm too weak to face the challenges and obstacles that lay ahead.
Really it's because /pol/ is basically the opposite of most things around me and I like seeing other viewpoints whether I agree with them or not.
e.g. online I'd saw most other people I talk to on twitter or shitbook or whatever would count as """sjw""""""" and it gets bland to hear single leftist stances on everything.
Offline similar thing. I don't have a problem with gun rights or muslims or immigration here and it's interesting to read about other situations.
>>78995117
Its really funny and i like religious discussions occasionally
this is my source of news
>>78995117
I used to hate socializing because what I thought was socializing was actually tolerating imbeciles and getting bullied. I would be the most social person alive if I lived in a meatspace pol.
>>78995117
Some good laughs, some good insights every now and then.
It's like a rowdy Saloon. Have a couple of drinks, laugh, converse and play cards and watch some bar fights.
You know, man stuff.
Actual high level political discussion that isn't afraid to name the jew and call out SJW faggots on their shit. You have a lot of trouble in real life doing this, at least if people you know are blue pilled cucks.
Thankfully, my co-workers and family aren't so its much easier to discuss the same stuff from /pol/ with them, sans the jews.
>>78995117
I always miss when I try to click on /gif/
>>78995117
Because people actually discuss things from viewpoints that are publicly taboo.
Discrediting through shame doesn't work on those who are proud of being outsiders.
There's no /pol/ or 4chan equivalent here in PH, unless you want to read jewbook with all the brain melting opinions of normies.
>>78995989
>high level political discussion
>/pol/
>>78996108
Now your here forever.
I used to lurk and contribute on /k/. Now I'm on both boards. I get international media reports from you geyser here. It's like being in a basement with multiple monitors on several topics at once.
>>78995117
News. If there is some horrible happening, this place will either be outraged, happy, or trying to rub it in your face.
Take Orlando shooting. Everywhere else was effectively embargo on information, news were witholding info, fucking Reddit was deleting any and all threads about it.
If something happens in my city, I'd be glad to get as much info as I can, not to get it censored by some reddit aparatchik because he plays politically correct.
>>78995117
Implying I'm here
The political discourse was really good.
Now that its the summer time, before the election, the board is 3/4 slide threads, and "pol btfo" jew faggot shill threads. Kiddos bored "trolling", and professional niggers working for clinton sliding the fuck outta this place.
Take a look. Really watch the catalog. See what new peice of journalistic menora casting magic comes out, and then see how many threads withing minutes, flood the board.
Also the race mixing bullshit is getting intense here. Its the same fucking threads, every day.
>would you not (black girl)
>black men superior
>how can you compete.
Its cookie cutter, and it makes me want to figure out who. I have time, money, just not the skill to figure out who.
>>78996245
Of the absolute highest quality.
I come here to BTFO of authoritarian white nationalist conservative extremists. I've been doing it for a few years, it's a hobby of mine and some people here are funny.

No lie I come here for news. Sure you have to wade through shill/is it white/normienews/slide threads but a lot of important news can be found.

first thing i do in the morning is get on my phone and open up /pol/, so i can get instant news on a mass shooting or something without wading through the news
I get a good portion of my news from here. I understand there is a large amount of bullshit to shovel through but it's worth it.
Plus my brother and his wife are ultra-bluepilled SJW faggots and I need debate fuel for him.

Laughs and current events. I lost my shit at the webm of that aussie spambot last night.
Because I've always had an interest in politics, history and the like, as well as (unfortunately) 4chan.
I first came to /new/ back in the day, but the blantant racism offendedme, and arguments went nowhere so I left. Cue the 2012 election, and me being a self-described "libertarian", I went to /pol/. Irony, memes, and surprisingly intelligent conversations (occasionally) kept me here til today.
Also should mention I also appreciate threads about "sources" for various topics, I've been reading quite more lately.

I come here because I'm here forever. It's like smoking you wish you never started and it's slowly killing you but you won't stop.
I enjoy reading controversial viewpoints. Also I used to be a liberal, but last election cycle I started leaning more right, and this election cycle I have gone full conservative. Pol is a great place to learn more about conservative viewpoints in a fun way. The banter and edginess is great entertainment.
Some religious bros on pol have helped me bring god back into my life recently and I am very appreciative of that.

I love IDs because I can follow the conversation. But then I started getting redpilled, and hearing from people from all over the world charmed me. This board is funny, it's fun, it's smart, and it's world wide. I even like Israelis now. Not Jews, they're as bad as the stormfags, but Israelis bring the bantz. And you, OP, I get to talk to someone IN the Brexit, not the Ameriview. I get raw unfiltered actual on the ground reporting here, it's like Al Jazeera on steroidal meth.

The bants are the most entertaining aspect of /pol/. I don't particularly like the group-think that can be seen in a lot of places on here. /pol/ has changed the way I think and view things though. I was pretty liberal before I came here. Now I'm much more conservative minded. I'm voting Hillary this coming election but /pol/ has changed my views on Trump by far. He's not a guy I will vote for into office, and Hillary isn't someone I particularly want either but I'd rather have someone with experience getting shit done while in a public office rather than some egoist buisnessman who calls himself the King of Debt.
Back to the point, I come here to see different opinions from around the world. See events that are going on around the world that regular news in my country wont cover. I'm a person who needs to know what's up around the world at all times and /pol/ is a good medium for finding what's up (even though I have to sift through a lot of BS).

None of those reasons are based on fact. If you wanted them to go away they would. You can't grow back an amputated leg, you can move from self loathing to self love. Stop being illogical. Fucking make it happen
Because I've lost all control of my life. A friend and past 4chan mod said pol is making me bitter and jaded. While I didn't deny their allegations, I felt I had all the reason to hold those attitudes. I'm not generally unpleasant in the real world, I just have a lot of silent, unvented rage that gets held back from being unleashed upon this gay earth.
>>78995117
/pol/ is fucking hardcore man. I'm 38 and have been posting on various forums for like 18 years; so sick of everyone being nice little PC angels everywhere else. This shit is raw, unfiltered, international, say-whatever-the-fuck-you-want-but-face-the-consequences fun.
Collective IQ could stand to be 5 or 10 points higher, and overall maturity could use a modest bump, but seriously, there's nowhere else I'd rather post. It's fucking amazing once you get past the initial shock-n-awe stage.
