My Government teacher says that blacks only appear to commit more crimes and act more violent because they live in poor communities that we have put them in, and that white people of the same social status would commit just as many crimes.
Is this true? I want to call him out in front of the class but I don't know if he's actually right. He's a huge hillary supporter and the last time I debated him on it he called me a racist for saying that affirmative action is reverse-racism and that black people should basically be paid reparations for what we've done to them.
There's some truth to it, but not enough. Yes poor people commit crime more often, but poor blacks commit more than poor whites despite being a tiny % of a population.
