They're saying that visual cues (ie. eye and skin colour, hair type, etc) isn't accurate to categorise the Races because modern genetic testing doesn't match it. And Haplogroups isn't accurate either, because this only follows either paternal or maternal ancestry but you can have people of differing haplogroups with closer genetics than people within the same haplogroup makeup.
At this point in time they look at genetic distancing and there are 14 main clusters of genetics. 9 of them being in Africa, which is the most genetically diverse continent.
Europe and the entirety of Asia have very little genetic distancing and are quite closely related. You can get two tribes in Africa within the same country that are more genetically distant than Europeans and Japanese
