So, basically, my dad is a GP, and him and a lot of the other GP's he knows (and higher ups at the NHS) are going to leave the country.
my dad literally just handed in a visa application, plans on selling the house and plans on moving to New Zealand.
This is bad because it does a few things:
1) my dad is a professional, with a degree, and enough money to relocate, so he is, and so will thousands of others, which may even be reported nationally at some point.
2) number 1 is going to cause a huge drop in the pound, no demand for houses, loss of jobs, loss of good immigration -- this isn't even fear by me, this is a REAL thing that's happening RIGHT now.
3) long term, as a scottish student, this will probably fuck with my education if the pound straight up collapses because half my lecturers relocate.
4) I'm fucked. I'll need to get a job over the summer next year to pay for my own living expenses since my tenancy is only like, what, 42 weeks or some shit.
