Amesoeurs is a neige project, I would class them as blackgaze along with neige's other stuff which is usually post rock or black metal.
If you like them though check out Neiges other bands e.g. Alcest, Lantlos, Mortifera, Glaciation.
Big up Amesoeurs ep Ruines Humaines though its incredible!
But being someone who two favorite genres are probably Black Metal and Emo/Screamo, good taste.
The only thing I can think of that is similar is We came out like tigers who mix Black metal and screamo? they are alot less shoegazey than amesoeurs though

I really disagree. I think emo has died as a whole because of the lack of new bands doing new things. Sure you have Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World putting out new stuff here and there, but as a whole, emo is dying. I think these threads are a reflection of the people trying to reclaim the genre they deem as dead. And the only way they can bring outsiders into the discussion is through showing them what they want, moe. This moe posting isn't ruining these threads; its inviting new people to these threads. Sorry but I really think this isn't true at all, not one bit. There is so much amazing music coming out of local scenes, take a look through your own/nearby city and you are bound to find it. The whole "no popular bands are putting out emo therefore emo is dead" is about the worst logic I've heard when it comes to music. Take a step outside of posting borderline child porn and look beyond fucking youtube, you might find something that you really enjoy that will show you that emo is not dead in the slightest bit. And for the record, yeah I know your trip, you and elmo usually post good stuff that actually contributes. On the other hand though, 74v and especially KOC post images that can defineintly be considered loli, take that shit somewhere else.

100% honest. It was great. John was on the verge of tears at one point in the set saying how great it was. The only problem was that 2 fat asses kept trying to crowd surf at least 4 or 5 times a song and everyone got tired so we just kept droppign them. They continued to jump off that damn stage onto the ground though

Hey man, big time /mu/ trip here.
I don't get that impression. Sure we may have a hater here or there, who doesn't, but overall people seem to really like to come for us for suggestions. Granted usually all they really were looking for was Taking Back Sunday, but we know a lot about emo and help them find all kinds of classics like Jimmy Eat World or Millionaires. So I guess, I'm really proud of this general. Thanks for all the hard work guys; I hope we can all keep up this effort and really change this board into a much more peaceful and cozy place.
