there are plenty (well ok, maybe not truckloads but not just one or two lunatics either) of people who care about and like funk music, they're jsut not always easy to spot outside funk shows and jams. but the funk scene is pretty good since the mid 2000s, compared to the mid 90s/first half of 2000s when older bands started to fade in obscurity and newer bands weren't really at it
lots of obscure stuff that was very expensive to get also got reedited in the last decade so maybe it has something to do with funk music being a bit more hip than before
but sorry for you, Pleasure is apparently to be released on CD only (maybe later for the LP format ?)

as for this track, modern soul. otherwise I'd say they tend to lean more towards electrofunk with a sound that is reminiscent of the raw deep funk, but I 'm not one to really care about classifications
