Added. Also, I wish I could tell you other groups like Ozric Tentacles, but they seem like something entirely of their own. They're psychedelic/electronic/prog rock/reggae dub/world music all in one package, which led to this gorgeous, spaced out sound that I can't draw comparisons to any other group that I've heard. I'll say to listen to Djam Karet though, even though they're not like Ozric. They're very, very good.

I won't get into that again, I'll just say I got a shitton of recs last thread (/metal/ really piles on the recs compared to other generals), and it's gonna take a few days of intense listening to get a better idea of where to go from here. Well...I remember giving Consumed a listen. All the songs are like this one in that there are a couple cool moments (like the intro riff in this song even if it's a bit of a Frantic Disembowelment ripoff, the little touches during the breakdown), the rest is meh (the verse/chorus riffs, the leads, the beginning part overstaying its welcome, the breakdown overstaying its welcome) the meh stuff wouldn't have been bad if more variety were to be there, but there isn't.

For death/thrash it's very uninteresting. The riffs have a techy feel that lacks any punch, plus the vocals are just awful. They sound way too processed for what death/thrash should be, the vocals would probably fit more in deathcore than death metal. The whole thing feels plastic sped up instead of heavy and aggressive, then again I'm judging one song but nothing about it makes me want to check out the full album.
