Nah I really don't. But the intro was actually pretty good. Nice melodic progression, cool drumming and a good vibe. And then out of nowhere just throw in some lazy out-of-place breakdown. It's just really bad songwriting.
You know what I wanna hear? Metal that almost entirely lacks typical kick-snare percussion. The best you usually get is some timpanis or maybe a snare roll for a few seconds (which is cool).

It's a matter of songwriting. One of the reasons why I don't like Opeth is because the acoustic sections are obviously shoehorned in as opposed to being well integrated into the song. For an example of a good acoustic section, this Lengsel song is a great example of usage of acoustic guitars in metal.

Huh, well the 20 min prog song was Gonin-ish's Akai Kioku which is a mindblowing song. It's especially ambitious when you realize it's essentially through-composed (not very common in metal).
The other song was Lengsel's Avmakt which is basically black metal, but it has nice riffing and the acoustic bits in it are extremely tasteful.

Completely the opposite, Somewhere was a total cheesefest of pure shit, Imaginations and Nightfall actually had some imagination and good songwriting in it. I still get the title track of Imaginations stuck in my head occasionally.

A Night in Texas' high vocals are pretty much perfect to me which makes the horrible lyrics that much more painful, but this year in general has been pretty decent for vanilla deathcore. Slaughter to Prevail's EP was alright
