As long as I enjoy plushmaking, I'll keep making plushes. But that doesn't mean I'll take commissions forever.
So what happened is that I landed a full time job in my field. As I don't need the income from plushing any more, I only do it for fun like when I started. If the stress of having commissions ends up taking away all the remaining fun, I would rather use my off time making stuff for myself than worrying about having a second, very low paying job.
As of this point, I'm still on the fence if I want to keep taking commissions or not. I'll probably know once my current commission is done if I'm going to continue.

My issue lies in the fact that when I do save money, unexpected bills come around and I end up having to take from the savings to pay them. And yes, I cut back on my expenses as best as I can, but I make so little money that I need every dime just to get by. I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I don't spend frivolously.

Because I've literally had both those ideas before o_O The heating mechanism is much more practical, though - use things like heating pads or even hot water bottles (I've tested the latter with Tavi, it works but you have to be comfortable with the idea of having a bottle full of water in your plushie...) to make super snuggly-snuggles.
