Overall about a 6/10. Sunburst/Starlight gets a 9/10, probably could've been better than Amending Fences if it had had an entire episode to shine by itself. Flurry Heart gets 1/10, and that's extremely fucking generous. Pointless character, pointless plot, gave the Mane 6 next to nothing to work with. All it did was give Celestia something to do for once, and that's not exactly groundbreaking

I liked it although I found it pretty underwhelming.
Shinning Armor got some pretty funny moments when he was freaking out.
Spike and Starlight shared a good chemistry and actually got me intrigued to see them both again together.
Sunburst was a great character. I am so glad they didn´t make him a jerk to paint Starlight in a good light; he was a good three dimensional character.
The rest of the mane 7(?) were ok, again pushed to the background for Twili- I mean Starlight to shine.
The plot with the baby wasn´t as terrible as I expected although still pretty cliched. Besides, that damn thing was the cause of most of the drama of the episode; it doesn´t really sell well the image of the cute baby when it almost destroyed the Crystal Empire twice.
I also liked that the conclusion of the episode involved Starlight, Twilight, Cadence, Sunburst and such working together. Another example where friendship saves the day in a way that isn´t a laser beam.
My main problem with this episode is that... it feels so average. I wouldn´t be surprised if this premiere started as two different scripts for a 20 minutes episode that they mixed together to make a premmier. Compared to the crisis the rest of premieres dealt with this is just average.
So, while a good episode, I qualify it as "underwhelming".

it was interesting to see a unicorn who had vast knowledge, but minimal natural talent. i thought that was a fantastic idea in contrast to those born with lots of natural talent.
spike was portrayed the best hes been in a long time, once again taking on the voice of reason role, as well as occasionally being blunt.

I liked the pacing of the first episode. Seemed in the past that part one of season premieres rushed to get everything set up and the plot in motion. Today's part one was like a calm walk through the park and the stakes weren't raised until the end of the first episode.

Besides being really fucking confused how 7/10 = average in terms of media rating now, I suppose those failing ameriburger school systems are to blame, I found the episode mediocre as a whole. The baby shit we knew was going to be complete ass, so no surprise there, but the interaction between glimglim and NEETpone felt really rushed and due to being rushed was basically amending fences 2.0. However I do hope we see more glimglam in the future, as I genuinely found her interactions in the episode more interesting than twilight's, and it would be good to have a more grounded unicorn protag.
Overall a 5.5/10. Nothing really that interesting happened.

It was quite good , better than expected, i really liked everything that was going on in the background, the baby itself .. well i hope we won't see it again until it develops some kind of understandable intelligence, because as of now it just seemed to fill the expected overpowered nuisance role.
They again found a way to bring in the Hasbro merchandise without getting too annoying and disruptive to the story flow.
All in all a good start of Season 6. looking forward to more Pony.

I liked the glimmer/Sunburst subplot but from my perspective this was just a waste of a double episode.
It pretty much just is two episodes running in parallel, with the baby episode being pretty obnoxious.
I would have preferred if there had been one long, focused storyline, instead of two short, underdeveloped storylines.
