Personally, while some of his initial backstory moments are interesting, overall he's pretty dull and boring. Definitely not the best villain in the entire franchise.

OOO was my first rider, having seen all the Heisei-era riders and a few Showa-era riders Tajador is still my favorite form.

While he's not the best he's certainly one of the best. He's a madman, someone that knows he's doing wrong yet he can't stop doing it.
Heck, even in the serious moments he freaked out when they took his doll. He was really insane. All of his philosophy about how things are only really beautiful when they met their end was really good as well.
And I personally thought his lack of personality (his void) was a good thing. Just went to show you that they were against a real madman and, at the same time, someone who was the other side of the coin to Eiji, who was also void.
The two of them were void inside but while Maki used that void and tried to expand it to all the world, to end it, Eiji ended up refilling that void. I think the contrast between the two was one of the strong points of the series.

These are both fair, anons.
In both those shows cases I just enjoyed the casts more than in OOO. Though I would say Blade's problem is more that too much shit happens in the beginning but you have no prior investment in which to give a shit because it throws you in like you've already seen 20 episodes of the show.
Drive at least has the interesting police backdrop and a handful of mildly interesting cases. The second halves of both shows are also way better than what OOO ends up amounting to. Especially Blade.

Really? I watched Double again recently and the weaving was annoying. Particularly at the beginning when Nazca and Taboo didn't achieve much beyond letting the episodic Dopants get away until the Bird two-parter. The middle portion was an improvement since Accel had a much stronger antagonism towards Weather, but it's a little strange to think about how the show seemed to forget the plotline about Philip's connection to the Sonozakis for a big chunk. I'm not too fond of the explanation for Shotaro avoiding doing anything about Terror either since it wasn't explicitly addressed until near the end.
I agree with the Greed being rather lame. Didn't Kazari go from being too much for OOO to handle to no more effective in a fight than one of his Yummies early in the show?

Partially disagree. Cazali was consistently the most threatening of the main Greeed simply because he was so unpredictable, imo.

I agree with Nasca and Taboo largely being there to let the Dopant escape, but at least it leads up to Kirihiko's death, which was a real surprise for me, especially in a neo-heisei series; I was totally expecting him to become an allied "rider" or something.
But some of the other things, like the gradual development of Wakana from when her arc ended, which was pretty early in, really impressed me. The entire Weather arc is fantastic too.

The character interactions are way too fucking good.
Takumi, Kiba, Kusaka and Kaido are fucking hilarious. It's just a bunch of dudes swagging each other for 50 episodes and they're all really entertaining to watch. If Inoue is good at anything, it's electric character interactions. They were good in Agito and they were good here. It also just has random memorable shit like Mr J. And it starts out really, really strong. Kiba's story really pulled me in right from the beginning, and that combined with Takumi/Mari interactions basically sold me on the show.
The OP is also gdlk and the suits are awesome, especially how the tubing lights up in the dark and shit.
Faiz literally in my opinion had so much potential to be the best rider show. The missteps with the writing Inoue made are honestly the biggest tragedy in how a rider series ended up to me.

I agree with everything you said. I love the character interaction in Faiz. It was amazing. I loved Takumi and Mari's friendship/relationship and Kiba is one of the most sympathetic characters in the franchise. Then you have Yuka who's even more sympathetic.
The suits are Godly and the music, all of it is amazing. The Orphanochs have great designs too and a really interesting gimmick and dynamic.
The ending was absolute garbage but like with Kiva I feel the show has enough good to make me rewatch it again and again.

I didn't realize Core was so hated. I really liked the W part because it gave us more on Skull's backstory and got Akiko and Accel properly hitched.
The OOOs part was pretty forgettable and didn't make a lot of sense (why wasn't the black medal combo a thing?!) and the fight at the end was boring, save for Shotaro freaking out at Ankh.
It was at least worth it for Skull's story.
