After 40 years I feel that Sentai's home should always been situated in Tokyo. However, that is not to say I would be opposed to such locations being regularly featured with heroes and villains travelling to and from as opposed to shows such as Gingaman, Goseiger, and it appears Zyuohger now too where their unique worlds are dropped after the first episode.

Don't really care what the setting is as long its filmed in New Zealand (or atleast half a season). Recognising places from previous seasons becomes jarring after awhile (Zyuoh's 1st episode was refreshing).

I think it all comes down to how much you liked the season at the end of the day.
For instance, I thought Ninninger suits and other things were awesome, but didn't like the season as much overall, so don't feel as strongly for them, and the ToQ suits grew on me after a while because I liked the season and characters much more.
If you hate the season, you're not gonna feel very strongly towards other parts. We're already seeing that with people decrying the Zyumans and cube stuff.

Go-Busters problem was never low ratings in general, it was low ratings in the kids demo, but quite a bit.
Interesting to note: the Pokemon variety show, Pokenchi, used to run in the format of one Pokemon rerun and one variety show episode spread across an hour, directly against Sentai and Rider. This started half way into Boukenger, which is way ratings start to drop pretty fast directly after with Gekiranger. Sentai's main competition is now the Duel Masters anime, whose ratings have never been historically great but were good enough in the last few years to expand it from a quarter hour show to a half hour show.
My prediction: Zyuohger's ratings are going to increase over Ninninger and history and fans will see it as Zyuohger single handedly bringing up Sentai's ratings because lol no one is going to remember half this post six months from now.

Ratings have been in decline, yes, but as mentioned (though not quite correctly*), you can literally mark the big drop off in ratings to the latter half of Boukenger, when the Pokemon variety show started in the same time slot. Boukenger had been on track to have ratings similar to the last few series until that point.
*It's not a Pokemon rerun, but a Pokemon variety show (one of its earlier incarnations involved showing reruns I think?). Every now and then they refresh the show's theme and call it something else, but it's not going anywhere, and that audience ain't returning.
Ratings have been in a steady decline since then just because there's less children watching TV (well, and less children in Japan period lol). But for a long time now (the shift had started even before Sentai was up against Pokemon), ratings have become less important in the face of merchandise sales.
Geki and Go-Bus (and now, Ninnin, surprisingly) are considered failures because they didn't move merchandise. The interesting thing is though, Geki and Go-Bus both fell flat because the gimmicks (or arguably, lack thereof, as far as what's typically the most popular merchandise go) weren't a hit. The thing to watch now is potential fallout from Ninninger's low sales (worse than the other two mentioned, actually). Unlike them, Ninnin had an always-popular theme and a collectible gimmick, so it had been assumed that it would sell well enough.

You know, part of my kind of hopes that these continue coins will actually be handled as if they're valuable. It's pretty clear that the enemies have a gambling theme on top of their retro gaming theme, after all their ship is a giant roulette wheel. These coins are probably valuable, seeing as Great Leader VonChair has literally all of them. There are piles of giant coins behind his chair and basins full of them on his armrest, which leads me to believe they aren't something to just be thrown around wastefully. If they wanted to create some tension among the enemy generals, actually not using one every episode to giant the MOTW could be an interesting change of pace. They could even end up fighting over coins or even stealing from each other.
But I know this is sentai we're talking about, they're going to giant the monster every episode without fail.
