I like to do many different things. I don't like "just being outdoors" though, I wanna explore new places.
My fiance has never traveled a lot so I'm having fun taking her places. We went to France last year in the late summer and we just recently came home from a week in Barcelona. We have saved up for a trip to China for our honeymoon in August, we're going to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Nanning, Wuhan, Shanghai and Beijing and are going ot be doing many different activities around each city. I've let her plan it though, it's her dream trip so for once I'll just be in on the ride.

I'm getting a compound bow this summer for fun. I don't like killing something unless I really needed to for hunting but I could skin, cook and tan it and make shelters and working on trapping atm.
Id much rather sit in the trees quietly watching deer and other wildlife pass by though. My father taught me how to walk scilently through the woods as a kid. I love fishing though.

There's a reason they go all out with fighting boar down in Texas (where it's a really big problem), an AK or other 'black rifle' isn't a bad choice for hog because if they charge you, you'd easily be able to stop one.

I think the slant on the front bottom of the milled receiver, as well as the stock, it's an AK, but just different enough. I think it also helps that the magazines have less of a curve and overall a very clean look.
Like, it looks good in the basic furniture, but it'll look just as good with any other handguard and pistol grip.
Also the longer sight radius, turned up charging handle, and bottle opener are all nice features. Shame they're so hard to get in the US.

From what I understand, if your goal is fun and not taking down large game that requires (by law and/or practicality) large firepower, you should use or start with a classical bow. That's especially true if you expect to get exercise from using it.

Bear is ok. Only good in the fall when they've been stuffing themselves on berries. Bear jerky is ok, bear steaks aren't as good as herbivore steaks. Brown bear that has eaten a lot of fish was good, but the steak I had had been frozen for two months. I've mostly had black bear. Herbivores, especially female ones, taste the best. Omnivores can be good, as long as they've mostly eaten plant matter before they were taken. Elk and caribou are god tier, but I always felt terrible shooting them, especially when my first shot wasn't a clean hit. Tracking a wounded animal is heart breaking. I relate too much.

Equestrians have to get shitloads of permits with long waits to get and even travel with a horse. Fishermen have to wait on seasons and in some areas are inspected to make sure they've released what they caught, are using the right equipment, etc.. Mountain climbers need permits per each mountain, which can take weeks. If you're a martial artist it's harder to fly in the U.S. with a sword than with a gun, and you have to get permits to bring a sword into Japan or Scotland. All artificial waits.

Ah, that old argument. "Criminals will break the law anyway, so why make it illegal?" The average criminal doesn't exactly use the sights on their guns, to put it that way, and awkward weight or balance isn't a huge concern. Not that there aren't very light weight ways to make a silencer, like pic related, or stuffing a plastic bottle with some steel wool.
The most likely reason is that they make a weapon much larger and harder to conceal, concealability is usually prioritized with most criminals, as well as low cost, silencers cost money, the higher the cost, the less expendable a weapon is, common practice is to get rid of a murder weapon somehow, and spending lots of money on something you're going to use once isn't appealing, especially if you're poor.

Lots of crime is never solved and you can't possibly know how much silencers figure in that, how do you determine if a silencer was used if you don't have the weapon, can you determine if it had a silencer if you can recover it? What if the silencer was one of those one time use pet bottle ones which was then discarded?

Some states don't allow you to register a silencer, some places a sheriff will never sign you off on a silencer.
Perhaps an argument can be made that they should be regulated, but is the NFA process really the best way to do that? There's less than 10 people who do ALL the NFA paperwork for ALL 50 states, and more staff isn't being put on this purely for political reasons, the waiting time is literally just because it takes time for this shit to do, not because there is a clause in the NFA that specifies a waiting period, which is why the time fluctuates so much for processing NFA paperwork.
If they upped the amount of employees doing this paperwork to 30 it would still be as controlled, except it would just be done much faster and efficiently.
