It has a lot of the same probems oot has like shitty platforming, bad dungeon design (though snowbed is a perfect dungeon, its just all the others that are bad)...it has a smallmap which WOULD make exploration and collecting really boring except the clock mechanic and the masks kinda add an extra layer to that...thr gqmebis only really fun for completing the bombers notebook and stuff. When link between worlds got made i actually got very excited to see a concept like that done fr zelda one or two. I feel like that would be much more likely for zelda 1. Zelda 2 is this unloved child. I ike everything about it tho. Its harder, it has great combat mechanics. Theres less puzzles but I'm kinda ok with that. I think dark souls taught me to love zelda 2. That would be a great remake...that we will never get. Zelda games have only gotten easier as they've gone on, i dont think nintendo is interested in creating more challenging experiences. Lifetime sales for the game also dont support a remake probably.

Seems tactics advance was re-released on wiiu recently. This is because its one of very few productions that were joint between square and nintendo. Its actually better than tactics imo, just because its much of the same gameplay but with way prettier graphics and actually a very good story. The series does have design integrity. From Software, and more importantly, Miyazaki, are some of the only designers ik now who stuck with their plan as a company and a group, and made the audience come to them. They didnt soften their design for casual audiences. But with a game like DS where you're jumping from single to multi platform, and you just previously made your breakthrough game? You're getting an opportunity to prove yourself as a company and if the game is delayed and releases late you're pretty fucked.
Like i said. Bed of chaos is 5 minutes any given playthrough. The area itself is no more than 25. If you're letting half an hour of non-par gameplay and an unfished boss lessen a game that you spend hours hours playing, ruin the experience? Thats fucking silly.
