It's not hypochondriac-ism; I've been correct every time I've gone to my GP with a suggestion of a diagnosis so far, and because it's the UK medical system, they're not just saying what the person paying them wants to hear like might happen in america idk.
Having said that, 1 in 500-to-1000 is still very rare and it's far more likely I don't have than I do, but as you don't pay for blood tests over here (the NHS is good for non-mental-health stuff!) it'll be quick and easy to check for certain. I'll bring it up at my appointment on the 29th.
