i thought vfs would be a good idea after hearing a femlar patient, because femlar also helps you with resonance as well as pitch.
but at the end of the day i've heard far too many who had vfs to the vocal chords sound like chain smoking frogs, it's really not worth it, and the aspect of femlar surgery that sorts your resonance is something you can achieve through voice training and practice.
plus, vfs still requires that voice training, so i think you're better finding a voice coach who knows what they're doing when it comes to resonance and feminization.
it's a lot safer than having your voice box messed with.
but if you DO want surgery, i'd probably ask Dr Thomas who does FemLar to do just the aspect of that surgery that doesn't involve cutting up your trachea and vocal chords to shreds.
