RIGHT when it comes to fats there are 2 things you should take into consideration. with unsaturated fats, this isn't related to weight loss but general health and wellbeing, try and supplement omega 3. you can do this with stuff like high EPA omega 3 fish oil capsules, flaxseed, grass-fed as opposed to grain-fed meat, seafood (mackerel is great although limit the smoked, preserved stuff which is often salty).
when it comes to saturated fats, and this is why i say avoid dairy, it's all to do with the length of fatty acid chains. dairy consists of short chain fatty acids which are more readily stored as adipose tissue. human milk has longer chain fatty acids. the longer the chain, the better for you. i switched out all dairy for coconut-based alternatives. except cheese. nothing can replace real cheese so i just don't eat cheese.
